I am happy to abide by crate training if required and always have toys, a bed and training treats on hand, just in case. I ALWAYS bring water on my walks and plan my days to ensure we are not walking in the heat of the day. I am happy to walk early in the morning and later at night. I have used cool coats before so I am also happy to add this to my routine. I never try and rush a pet. Whether it is a nervous cat or young pup, I take my time, not jumping straight in. I try not to let them off the leash immediately so we can build trust and I do not rush them to be my friend.
