About: Hi there! We’re Madison and Hunter, a husband-and-wife team who will love on your fur baby like they’re part of our own family. We know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and cared for when you can’t be there, and that’s exactly what we provide. We have a fenced-in backyard that’s perfect for playtime and potty breaks, plus a sweet and playful 2-year-old Golden Retriever who can’t wait to make a new friend. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, or just keeping your pup company, we’re here to give them the care and attention they deserve. With us, you can relax knowing your pet will be treated with the same love and care as our own Our work from home and overall flexible schedules will allow us to care for your baby! If you can give us a few days heads up, that would be great otherwise we will always do our best to offer same day services! I have a fenced in yard with one friendly golden retriever named Maggie. I can easily crate your dog (or ours) if needed or requested. Happy to help with administering medication if needed and outdoor play and walks will be frequent!

About: Dog's are my loves. Theyre treated like princes (and princesses) when in my care. I've had dogs ever since I was born and I wouldn't have it any other way. I previously owned a black lab, 7 years old, named Bear. We Iost him on 12/29/17 in a hit and run while I was out of town. He was a medium sized lab and the sweetest in the world. As I’m obviously heartbroken by the loss of a piece of my family missing, I find refugee in loving animals, as I know Bear would love more friends to play with if he were still home. I am an advocate of dogs being family, so they can be up on the couch, on the bed. I don't like to feed the dogs people food because it creates beggars, but I do like to spoil them. My fur baby has enough toys to keep a village occupied. I’m a dog loving woman, and it will never be questioned. I currently stay at home, so I have unlimited availability to be able to give your furry friend the attention that they need, and accommodate your needs as well. I have a fenced in yard, and one pup to keep your's company. I'm also able to keep the dogs separated and crate yours if that's what makes them most comfortable.

About: My favorite childhood memories are that with my German Shepherds Carson and Lady and my Chihuahua Nukiums. When in college I dog walked and pet sat my boss' French bulldog Beatrice and her lovely cat Ms. Kitty. Though Ms. Kitty only used me for a quick rub and for me to fill her bowls, Beatrice and I went on plenty of errands together. Currently I have a Silky Terrier named Rocky, a cat named Nipsey (who hides from visitors:), a rabbit named Daisy and two pet loving children who would love to have playdates with your furry family member. My kids and I have lots of energy. We are used to walking Rocky and letting him play in the backyard several times a day from 6am-9pm. If you would like a friendly dog walker, or someone to check on your cats I would love to help! I even enjoy watering plants and taking care of exotic pets if needed. I am a teacher so I am off during the summer and would otherwise add your pet care and checkins into my daily routine. I also have two kids ages 8 and 14 who love animals and will sometimes ask to come along and help out. I usually walk my dog once a day and let him enjoy the backyard for 5-15 minutes (depending on the weather) three times a day. However, I prefer to cater to your schedule which is why I usually request to have a meet and greet.

Emily was such a great help! We needed someone to walk our dog while we were away for a wedding and our pup Lou was happy and healthy when we returned. This was our first time working with Emily, but she coordinated a meet and greet earlier in the week to meet us and get the details for taking care of Lou. We will definitely use Emily again in the future!

About: Hi! I’m Courtney, a reliable & caring pet lover who treats every pet like my own 🤍 I’ve always grown up around animals & feel completely comfortable with dogs of all sizes & personalities. Whether your pup is high-energy & loves long walks or prefers a slower pace & extra cuddles, I’ll match their needs & make sure they feel safe, happy, & loved while you’re away. I offer dog walking & drop-in visits, and I’m happy to help with things like feeding, fresh water, playtime, & lots of attention. I also make sure to keep you updated with photos & messages so you always know how your pet is doing. I take pride in being dependable, communicative, and respectful of your home and your pet’s routine. My goal is to give you peace of mind & give your dog a fun, stress-free experience. I’d love to meet you & your pup—feel free to reach out with any questions! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I make it a priority to plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. I keep my availability updated & allow enough time between visits to give each pet my full attention—never rushing through walks or drop-ins. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening visits, which works well for feeding schedules, potty breaks, and consistent routines. I also build in flexibility for last-minute bookings when possible. Because I stay organized and don’t overbook, I’m able to be fully present with each pet & provide dependable, consistent care throughout the week. My goal is to make sure your pet’s routine stays as normal & stress-free as possible while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, while also respecting their routine & your home. I know how important consistency is, so I follow your instructions closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, or preferred playtime. During visits, I make sure your pet has fresh food & water, a clean environment, & plenty of attention. For dogs, that includes safe, engaging walks & exercise tailored to their energy level. For cats, I focus on clean litter boxes, enrichment, & interaction based on their comfort level. I’m very mindful of keeping your home tidy & secure—locking up properly, cleaning up after pets, & leaving everything as I found it. I also provide regular updates with photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I have always loved animals but have been caring for my own dogs for the past 10 years and have experience with both puppies and adult dogs. I’ve also helped friends and family with drop-in visits, feeding, walks, and playtime. Dogs have always seemed to warm up to me quickly, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’ll care for your pet with the same patience, love, and attention I give my own. I’m currently off for the summer, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I have no upcoming travel or vacations planned, which allows me to fully commit to pet care visits, walks, and overnight care as needed. I’m able to adjust my routine around the needs of each pet to make sure they get consistent attention and care. In a client’s home, I try to keep things as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and at ease. That usually means meals on time, fresh water, potty breaks or walks, playtime, and plenty of attention (and belly rubs if they’re into that). I’m happy to follow any specific instructions and just go at your pet’s pace. My goal is to keep things calm, consistent, and loving so they feel safe while you’re away.

About: My family has owned dogs since long before I came along. And thus, I've taken care of everything from chihuahuas to goldens and working line german shepherds. I started caring for them myself when I was about five and haven't stopped since. I've raised multiple litters of puppies, assisted in dog training, given both injections and oral medicine daily, and am capable of caring for anything from new born puppies to elderly dogs. I am currently a student and have classes Monday through Friday, but I have plenty of time between classes and on weekends to help care for your critters!! I can't do boarding at my place due to living in an apartment, but I can do any kind of care needed at your place! I can play and keep them near like I do with my dogs, I can feed, give medicine, clean up after them, crate them, whatever's necessary! Just tell me how you want it done!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bear Poplar. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Bear Poplar.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bear Poplar. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
