“Yelena was fabulous. We did a meet and greet before hand especially since my dog is 13 years old. Our dog seemed very happy while there. Yelena has a large fenced in yard as well as walking paths just outside her door. And bonus, Yelena is a highly skilled photographer! Highly recommend!”

“Rachel was amazing! Our puppy is very anxious and Rachel was super patient with her and helped work through it on her terms. I appreciated the daily updates and Vivian came home happy and healthy.”

“Needed a last minute sitter and Lipika was kind enough to watch my dog! Lipika is very responsive and really cares about your dogs’ needs. She even goes the extra mile to send pictures and videos recapping the day. My dog came back happy and tired :) Will definitely rebook!”

About: Experienced with energetic and strong willed dogs. Experienced with structured care, consistent routines, and happy dogs :) Will love your pup like they’re my own Caring for pets is already a big part of my everyday life. My routine revolves around making sure my dog is walked, fed, and given plenty of attention throughout the day. Feel free to message me about availability! I typically am available whenever you need!! I have a very friendly and energetic Husky in my home who loves staying active. We go on walks around the neighborhood about every 2 hours for potty breaks, as well as mental and physical stimulation. We also occasionally enjoy car rides to the dog park for extra fun and exercise. Since my yard is unfenced, I have a secure outdoor lead available. If your dog enjoys spending time outside like mine, I’d be happy to accommodate that upon request. For safety and comfort, I also have a crate available and can crate your dog or mine as needed.
About: Hello! I’m Tasha :-), a dedicated dog lover with a lifetime of experience caring for our furry friends. As someone who works from home, I have plenty of time to give your pup all the attention they deserve. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, cozy snuggles on the couch, or long walks in the neighborhood, I’m here to make sure your dog feels right at home. I understand that every dog has its own personality and needs, so I tailor my approach to suit your pet’s unique style. With a flexible schedule, I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, or extended sitting. I also love to keep owners updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is in great hands. I'M AVAILABLE:-) Since I work from home, I can easily incorporate breaks for walks, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. I typically start my mornings with a walk to energize both myself and the dogs, followed by feeding and some quality playtime. I create a dog-friendly space, free of hazards, with designated areas for eating, sleeping, and playing. I will also establish a consistent routine for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime to keep dogs comfortable and reduce anxiety. In addition, I engage them with plenty of playtime, toys, and interactions, ensuring they get socialization with other pets if applicable
“Kathy was very flexible with pick up and drop off times. When I travel, its usually hectic and she was able to let me drop of 30 minutes early. She sent tons of photos and updates. Allowed my boys to have tons of playtime with her dogs. They went right to sleep once we got home. Very happy with how she treats them.”

“Arleen, is the best pet sitter we have ever had. She was thorough in getting to know the needs of my pet and making sure she was well taken care of. She took her on walks, shared pictures, and spent time with her. I would highly recommend Arleen and give her more than 5 stars.”

“Thank you Anamika for taking care of Rio. He came home so happy and tired. All the pics and updates you sent me were just awesome. Thank you and I would surely use her again.”

“Caitlin was literally amazing! I have never used a dog sitting service and did not know what to expect. I had to go out of town on short notice due to a funeral and she was able accommodate my dates. She made me feel so comfortable. I have two little fur babies that have anxiety and bark at everything but she was very accommodating and was able to meet there needs. You can tell she really loves animals and knows what she is doing. She provided updates regularly and sent lots of videos! I would highly recommend her. I was really worried about leaving my babies but she took care of them as if they were her own. She was so flexible when my flight got delayed and willing to work with us. I would use her services again and recommend her to anyone!!”

“Joseph and Christina were just wonderful! Murphy was very well taken care of and was very happy when we picked him up. We will definitely ask them to watch him again.”

About: Hello! My name is Keri, I have had pets my whole life, including shelter rescues and fosters. I am experienced with dogs of all sizes and a large selection of breeds. As a pet owner myself, I want to know that my dogs are happy and most importantly, safe! As some pups (or pet parents) can become stressed or anxious with strangers, I will go the extra mile to ensure their comfort! Pet parents can be assured to receive lots of photos while their pup is in my care. I have worked in the medical field for 8 years, but my love for pets has started a journey to pet sitting. I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pups! My schedule can be very flexible, and I am home most of the time, occasionally in the office nearby. I live in a quiet neighborhood in a new spacious home with lots of room for your babies. As I currently do not have a fenced in yard, your baby can play inside & outside, and go for walks! I treat your pups as if they were my own. Interacting with pets by giving them lots of love and attention. Pups are allowed on furniture and most all areas of our home. Each pup will be walked and fed on schedule. Special diets and oral medications can be administered if needed.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Statesville
Porter had a wonderful stay with Kellie! From the photos she sent throughout his visit, it was clear he was happy, well-cared for, and having a blast. He got plenty of outdoor time, playtime with a ball, and even made some furry friends. Kellie was communicative and consistent with updates, which made leaving him so much easier. We'll definitely be booking with her again!

Michelle is the best! She sent so many photos and videos and updates, and my baby had such a great time at her home. You can tell Michelle really loves animals, and she took excellent care of my baby. I’ve already booked 2 more stays with her. I highly recommend Michelle, because she goes above and beyond!

Michelle and Aurelio took great care of our dog, Penny, while we went on vacation. We have never left her longer than a weekend, but they were very communicative throughout her whole stay. Penny is high energy and they made sure her needs were met. Thank you very much for watching Penny for us! Would recommend 😊

Baree was great with my dog! My flight got delayed / cancelled so I got in a day later than expected and she was great about accommodating us and keeping our dog an extra day. Sent pictures to let me know she was doing well and her toddler was great with the dog as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
