“Nicole has been taking care of our doggy potty breaks, and occasionally providing medication for our geriatric cat, on days that I work long hours. She is absolutely the best! We will continue to be repeat customers”

“My first vacation with my Kitty on her own at home. Brooke put my mind at ease, knowing someone was checking on my baby twice a day freshening her food, water and litter box. I received the perfect amount of texting and photos and Brooke was very receptive if I had questions. I will contact Brooke again to look after my Kitty the next time I travel.”

“Kelsey did a great job taking care of our cats while we were out of town. She was very responsive when we updated her with tips and last minute concerns with our cats. She updated us with pictures and made sure each of our cats was doing well while we were away. We will definitely be trusting Kelsey to care for our pets in the future.”

“Natalie did such a great job with all of our animals. Our cat loved her and seemed very content when we got home. She sent lots of pictures and it made me feel comfortable while we were away. I would highly recommend her.”

“She was absolutely great and helped me out on relatively short notice when my normal sitter couldn’t make it. She sent lots of pictures and videos so I knew my boy was doing well! Highly recommend”

About: Hi! I’m Benjamin, and caring for dogs has been a steady, grounding part of my life. I believe dogs do best with consistency, calm energy, and attentiveness, and that’s exactly what I provide. I’m especially good with dogs who benefit from: • predictable routines • patient handling • clear boundaries paired with affection • attentive observation (I notice changes in behavior, energy, and comfort) I understand that every dog has their own needs, quirks, and comfort levels, and I take time to learn what makes each dog feel safe and relaxed. Whether that’s extra outdoor time, quiet companionship, or structured play, I adapt to your dog—not the other way around. I’m reliable, communicative, and respectful of your home and your pet’s routine. I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes so you can feel confident your dog is being well cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I structure my days around consistent check-ins, walks, feeding times, and quiet companionship, so pets aren’t squeezed in between other commitments. I plan my schedule intentionally to make sure I’m present and attentive during care visits, whether that’s active play, calm supervision, or simply being there so a pet feels secure. Because I value routine and predictability, I’m reliable about timing and follow care instructions closely. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, and it’s part of how I keep my days grounded and purposeful—not an afterthought. I’m used to caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I regularly care for my own dog, Mara, as well as my mom’s three dogs, so I’m comfortable balancing routines, play, rest, and individual needs. In my home or a client’s home, I focus on: • following established feeding, walk, and medication routines • providing appropriate exercise and mental stimulation based on each pet’s energy level • offering calm supervision and companionship, especially for dogs who need reassurance • keeping environments clean, safe, and low-stress I pay close attention to body language and behavior, adjusting care as needed. Whether that means extra outdoor time, structured play, or quiet downtime, I aim to help pets feel secure and settled while their owners are away. I also communicate clearly with pet parents, sharing updates so they know their pets are comfortable and well cared for.
“Victoria and her husband are awesome! They took the last minute challenge head on to watch my dogs after I had two people cancel on me and it was greatly appreciated. I could tell from pictures that as the day visits progressed my dogs seemed to be getting more comfortable and calmer with them. They have a great dog loving energy. Thank you so much!”

“Isabella and Joseph were absolutely amazing! I was really nervous because it was my first time boarding my cat and my cat Maisie, can be quite the feisty feline at times. However, Isabella and Joseph were so accommodating and kept me informed every single day! I did not even have to ask for updates and would receive daily texts in the morning/midafternoon. When I did reach out, the response time was great and always reassuring. I would 100% recommend booking these two and if I need to use rover again, I will definitely be booking them again.”

About: I have been around animals my whole life, loving them and caring for them. I started fostering dogs 7 years ago and love everyday. I enjoy being outdoors and walking mine and other dogs. I can teach some basic obedience skills about walking and behavior. You may even get some cute photographs of your dog while you're away :-) I enjoy going to different parks, and greenways or even going for a nice long hike! I currently work part time (in the morning) but have my afternoons open to dog walking! I have some weekends available as well to dog walk or drop in. If you don’t have a fenced yard your dog will always stay on leash. I always recommend microchipping pets & wearing collars with name tags to ensure safety.
“Absolutely GREATEST! So sweet, so thoughtful and thorough! Felt so comfortable with LaJuan! My kitty is so scared but became BEST friends ❤️ thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us feel that our babies were safe in your care. Will book again!”

About: I’ve taken care and owned many types of animals over the past 30 years. I’ve had a German Shepherd and a dachshund that passed several years ago due to old age. Currently, we have 7 cats we have rescued, vetted and are currently living their best, spoiled life. I am available mostly all day for care for your pet(s). I am now a stay at home mother, and would love to help others with their furbabies. I am available for drop in care including walks, feeding, medication administration, and almost anything a client may need. I am comfortable with all types of pets, and tend to have them get attached to me pretty quickly.

About: I can provide dog boarding services and offer lots of snuggles and treats ( with your permission) for your fur babes! I have a fully fenced in privacy back yard with lots of room to explore! I am located conveniently in the downtown area of Statesville right of the I-77 and I-40 exchange. I have been a dog owner and lover since childhood and currently have two of my own that are a staple in our family! I look forward to offering a fun, safe, stress-free and exciting, home away from home while you need to be away for your furry friend. Statesville cat parents share their Rover experiences
Bo is always great with my cat Bean. He is a rescue and can be bitey when stressed, but Bo is able to connect with him and form a bond that he desperately needs when I am away from home for a week or so at a time. Bean is a really social cat, compared to previous cats I've had, and Bo is great at listening to what Bean needs each visit and communicating how he is doing when I check in. Also really great at pictures! It's always great to be able to check in with the photos later when I am 5 hours ahead and missed a check in, to see a silly photo of my cat playing.
