“My boys (2 of them!) can get separation anxiety, so drop offs are typically pretty difficult; but with Deborah, they waltzed right into her home! They came back EXHAUSTED from a weekend of play. I'm thrilled with how happy they are, and will definitely be using Deborah again!”

“Yelena is incredible! She took great care of our very stressed dog, who is not used to being away from us. Yelena sent us photos and videos daily to make sure we knew that our dog was ok. Yelena is wonderful and I highly recommend her!”

“Caitlin is just terrific! I can’t say enough good things about her. She takes great care of my dog and goes out of her way to help me time and time again. My dog just adores her.”

“Bryanna was amazing with our dog! She was very communicative throughout the entire process, beginning with a meet & greet all the way through the week stay. She asked a lot of questions during the meet & greet to make sure she knew our dog’s needs well, and that was very reassuring. We received daily updates and photos, and our dog looked so happy in them. We definitely plan to use Bryanna again!”

About: What sets me apart is simple—I’d rather be with dogs. Their happiness, comfort, and care genuinely mean the world to me, and I treat every dog like family. With over 15 years experience, I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, including senior dogs who may need a little extra patience, attention, and care. I also have experience administering oral medications and understand the importance of following each pet parent's instructions closely. "I ALWAYS SAY, IF YOU WANT TRUE LOVE, GET A DOG." - DOLLY PARTON I work from home, so I am able to give plenty of love, attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. With a large, fully fenced backyard I have plenty of space for dogs to run and will provide constant supervision during outdoor time. My home is a single-story, ranch-style home with no stairs, providing a comfortable and easily accessible environment for all ages. I currently only offer my services to small to medium-sized dogs to maintain a low-stress, comfortable environment. Because I have a dog at home, l am unable to host pets that are aggressive, or have history of aggression. I also encourage a quick meet-and-greet before boarding so your pup can get familiar with me, Peanut, and our home before their stay begins.
“Claudia makes my puppy feel right at home. He enjoys playing in her fenced backyard with her dog Tango, and she's very good about sharing photos and updates on his stay. It's like a home away from home for him. I feel fortunate to have found a good dog sitter like Claudia.”

“Kahlynne was great! She was very professional replied quick easy to deal with and made me feel very confident and comfortable leaving my fur baby with her. She sent text updates and pics. Could not ask for a better person to sit my dogs. I’m so glad Rover exist and was able to get us in touch with Kahlynne. We look forward to using her services again! Thank you Kahlynne”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
