“Excellent drop in visitor!! Eloise had an extreme situation with the record snowfall while I was away. She kept in contact throughout the weekend and gave me peace of mind knowing my pups were safe, warm and gots extra loves.”

“Heather is awesome! She really helped us out in a pinch, and was so attentive to our puppy, and provided great photos and notes. We were able to relax during an otherwise very stressful time knowing he was well cared for.”

About: I’ve always loved caring for animals and have experience with a wide variety of pets. I currently have a cat, and over the years I’ve cared for cats, a hound dog, two Bernese Mountain Dogs, and a pug. I’ve also had experience caring for lizards and fish, so I’m comfortable with pets of all kinds and their unique needs. I’ve given both dogs and cats medications and always approach animals with a calm, patient, and attentive attitude. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I work Monday through Thursday, so weeknight evenings and weekends are when I’m most available. I work Monday through Thursday, so weeknight evenings and weekends are when I’m most available. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care. For daycare and boarding, I can provide a comfortable, relaxed environment where your pet can feel at home. I’m comfortable caring for pets both in their own homes and in mine. When visiting your home, I’ll keep your pet comfortable in their familiar surroundings and follow their usual routine as closely as possible. My home has a small yard and is in a neighborhood with a dog park, plus a larger park nearby for walks and extra exercise. I also have a cat who is very independent and tends to keep to himself. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, and welcome, whether they’re staying with me or being cared for in their own home.
“Karley was so awesome. Our dog is hesitant about people he doesn’t know and she was so patient with him. She made him feel comfortable which eased our parent minds. Highly recommend her!!! We will definitely book her again.”

“Once again, Lauren did a fantastic job of taking care of our baby! She sent us lots of pictures and videos while we were away as well as a detailed account of every visit. We could tell our cat was very happy and engaged in the pictures/videos. Lauren played with him lots and even bought him some new catnip balls. Even though we hadn’t asked her to do anything with the automatic litter box while we were away, she was observant enough to pick up that it had malfunctioned. She sent us a message about it and was able to fix the issue. She also noticed that the automatic feeder was low on kibble, so she refilled it. Lastly, she brought over her own charger to charge one of our electronic toys that had run out of power. It’s details like these that made us feel secure that our kitty was being well taken care of while we were away. When we came home, she had left us a cute postcard with a collage of pictures on it. Lauren is a gem!”

“Rachel went above and beyond caring for our cat. She sent plenty of pictures and gave us little updates on how she was doing. She even brought in our mail and moved our trash cans for us while we were out of town.”

“Cassalyn stopped in to watch our little Gwump for over a week. She sent photos of our baby including any problems she ran into such as hairballs and went above and beyond expectations. Highly recommended! Thank you Cassalyn!”

“D'yandra is fantastic! My dog enjoyed her walks and the time she played with him. He definitely make a new friend. And would be glad to recommend her and will rehire again.”

“Alexandra did an awesome job dropping by while we were out of town! We left quite a few notes for her and she was very attentive to detail, consistent drop by times, a good communicator, and of course gave our kitty lots of love and took pictures. Will ask her to drop by whenever we are out of town!”

“Stephanie took great care of my cat while we were gone! My cat usually doesn’t come out to see new people but let Stephanie pet her right away. Definitely recommend Stephanie!”

“Svitlana is wonderful! Very dependable and so sweet with my big high energy dog, she has a very calming effect on him. She made multiple visits for multiple days in a row and it was so great getting updates from her and pictures.”

“I can't say enough good things about Tommy. The peace of mind that I have knowing he's loving on my dogs makes it so much easier to focus on my job while I'm away. I'm so grateful for how awesome he has been and my dogs LOVE him!”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have 16 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dogs, along with years of helping care for the pets of family and friends. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies who need extra patience and attention to senior dogs who appreciate a slower pace and a little extra care. My life truly revolves around dogs. I’m a lifelong dog lover, dog mom, and even my business is built around supporting dogs in my local community and helping pups in need find their forever homes. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. I’ll treat your pup with the same love, patience, and attention I would want someone to give my own—whether that means a long walk, playtime, plenty of cuddles, or simply keeping them company and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I work remotely, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout my day and allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my routine. My afternoons are especially flexible, making them perfect for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or keeping your pup company while you’re away. Because I’m not tied to a traditional office schedule, I can be dependable and consistent while also accommodating different routines and needs. Spending time with dogs is already a big part of my life, so caring for yours fits naturally into my day! When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, potty breaks, playtime, and any special routines that help your pet feel happy and secure. I know every dog has their own personality, so I take the time to learn what makes them comfortable—whether they love long walks and lots of playtime or prefer cuddles and a quieter companion. I’ll give them plenty of attention and affection while always respecting their boundaries. I also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m happy to provide regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Ashlin was wonderful with our three older dogs! Very attentive and followed all the instructions perfectly. This was the first time I used Rover and I was very impressed. We will definitely book her again!”

About: I have a pet dog that came with my room mate at about the age of 6, she is 8 now. She is a fairly mellow dog except for the seperation anxiety. I am good at feeding, walking her, giving her love and treats . That is the only dog experience I have I'm available any time during weekdays and am available for drop ins on the weekends. We can discuss what timing and scheduling works best for your pets. I am able to do a morning visit and an afternoon/evening visit. Additional visits can be added if necessary. I am a very empathetic, open individual with cats. I try to match the cat(s)' energy and build comfort & trust with them. Additionally, I'll make sure they eat, drink, take any necessary medicines, etc. then follow their vibe. The most important thing is that they are safe, feeling good, and taken well care of.

Eloise was great! She was very communicative, accomplished everything I asked, and took plenty of photos during the visit. My shy cat even came out of hiding and Eloise made sure she got lots of attention. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Emily was so amazing caring for Fawn while I was away! My usually shy kitty felt comfy enough to take treats from her (a rare feat!). Loved all the photos and communication to put my mind at ease. If she was even a few minutes late she would let me know, but was very prompt and professional. My new favorite cat sitter! Thank you, Emily! <3

Fannie is a gem ! No one has ever cared for our 14 year old sweet boy, better ! She sends pictures and updates on his eating and peeing habits while we are gone - which adds immeasurable relief while being away form him ! We cant recommend her services enough !
Julia did an absolutely incredible job taking care of our two kitties! She left the sweetest most detailed notes after every visit and tons of pictures of our babies! I could tell they were in great hands and never had to worry about them. Plus I could tell my girls loved playing with her :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
