“Karley was wonderful both times we’ve booked with her now. So communicative and even let us know when an unrecognized vehicle was outside of our house. So nice to know our pup is well taken care of. We’ve already shared her profile with others and will continue to recommend her!”

“Excellent drop in visitor!! Eloise had an extreme situation with the record snowfall while I was away. She kept in contact throughout the weekend and gave me peace of mind knowing my pups were safe, warm and gots extra loves.”

“Heather has simply been amazing for Coa and our family as a whole. We are very blessed to have met Heather. She genuinely loves Coa and has his best interest in mind. Thank you Heather for the toys and tips!!!!”

“I can't say enough good things about Tommy. The peace of mind that I have knowing he's loving on my dogs makes it so much easier to focus on my job while I'm away. I'm so grateful for how awesome he has been and my dogs LOVE him!”

“Fantastic experience! Extremely punctual, professional, and respectful from start to finish. My pets were well cared for, and communication was great throughout. Highly recommend!”

“Emily and Tyler provided excellent care to our cat, Rocky, while we were out of town. He was fed, brushed and watered exactly as instructed. And judging from the visit photos, Rocky enjoyed having them around each day. Highly recommended for your pets (cats or dogs)!”

“Cassalyn stopped in to watch our little Gwump for over a week. She sent photos of our baby including any problems she ran into such as hairballs and went above and beyond expectations. Highly recommended! Thank you Cassalyn!”

“She was FANTASTIC! My little dude loved her and she spent time giving him lots of loving and walks while we went to Disney for the day. She is reliable and sweet and i cannot recommend her enough!! Will be using her again..... Also I will add I messaged her at 11 PM the night before as it was a last minute plan and she responded and showed up for Ryder! My dog is my child and to know he was taken care of is EVERYTHING!!!”

“Rachel was so nice, very calm and collective when she met our dogs. We have never had someone else take care of our dogs so we were nervous at first, but she agreed to come meet them with us before watching them! She arrived on time and sent us update photos. Pups definitely love her!”

“We LOVE Rebecca. She sends detailed updates, snuggles our pups, and is so thoughtful. (But we don’t want her to get too popular, so I’ll stop there cause good care is hard to come by!!!)”

“Marcia was so sweet to the kitties. My boy cats are very shy and both of them were out visiting with her on the very first visit. She followed all of my directions and made sure to spend time with them so they know they are being looked after. Will definitely ask for her service again. Thank you!”

About: I have a pet dog that came with my room mate at about the age of 6, she is 8 now. She is a fairly mellow dog except for the seperation anxiety. I am good at feeding, walking her, giving her love and treats . That is the only dog experience I have I'm available any time during weekdays and am available for drop ins on the weekends. We can discuss what timing and scheduling works best for your pets. I am able to do a morning visit and an afternoon/evening visit. Additional visits can be added if necessary. I am a very empathetic, open individual with cats. I try to match the cat(s)' energy and build comfort & trust with them. Additionally, I'll make sure they eat, drink, take any necessary medicines, etc. then follow their vibe. The most important thing is that they are safe, feeling good, and taken well care of.
About: Hi! My name is Svitlana, and I truly love dogs. I have experience caring for my own friendly Labrador, so I'm comfortable with large, energetic dogs as well as smaller breeds. I understand that every dog has a different personality, and I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I am reliable, patient, and attentive to details. During every walk, I focus on your dog's safety and well-being. I'll treat your pet like my own and send photo updates after each visit so you always know how they're doing. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I have a flexible schedule and enjoy spending time with dogs. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks, including weekends when needed. I always arrive on time and make sure every walk is safe, fun, and tailored to your dog’s needs. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I always follow your instructions carefully, keep dogs on leash unless you request otherwise in a secure area, provide fresh water after walks, and pay close attention to their comfort and behavior. I’ll send photo updates after every visit so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I have had in the past several pets from hamsters and mice to cats and dogs, I am also a beekeeper! My last dog was a pit mix and passed last year. I have a large neighborhood with sidewalks and love to walk with the dogs. I also have a fenced yard if they like to run off-leash! I am a real estate agent so I am in and out of the home during the day and make my own schedule. I am flexible with hours and have a pre-college teen with me to help out if needed. I treat every pet with care and love as if they were my own. Like us, each pet has its own personality so I can adjust accordingly. There are currently no other pets in the house so yours will have my full attention!
About: I’m a long-time dog owner that would love to watch your dog too! I have grown up with dogs of my own and dog sitting for other people. I currently have one Golden Retriever. I am used to having two dogs at a time but I lost my older dog last year and right now it is better for me to have just one. My dog Reykie loves the company of another dog and is very sweet with new friends. I have had five Golden Retrievers in my life, I’ve watched plenty of other breeds as well. I understand that your dog is like family and they need extra love and attention sometimes when you can’t be there to give it. I’ll play with and love your pup for you! I live 10 minutes from the office so I’m able to come home during lunch. I also work from home a few days per week. I live in a townhome so I walk my dog outside to get him exercise and give him time to use the restroom. I also have a balcony that my dog and other dogs enjoy laying on in nice weather as I work right inside.
“Brea was such a fantastic cat sitter! She is a wonderful communicator and really cared about our baby. We were in a jam when our previously confirmed cat sitter ghosted us, but Brea responded right away and saved the day. We are so grateful to her. HIGHLY recommended.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
