“Heather is awesome! She really helped us out in a pinch, and was so attentive to our puppy, and provided great photos and notes. We were able to relax during an otherwise very stressful time knowing he was well cared for.”

“Karley was great!! This was my first time using this app so I was skeptical!! She made sure to drop in to check on our dog and followed instructions. She also accommodated us on her a Schedule last minute. I would book her without a doubt again.”

“I can't say enough good things about Tommy. The peace of mind that I have knowing he's loving on my dogs makes it so much easier to focus on my job while I'm away. I'm so grateful for how awesome he has been and my dogs LOVE him!”

“Emily was great with my girls! It was the first time we had left them alone for more than a couple days, and she made us feel safe leaving them knowing they were in good care. She followed instructions perfectly and there were no issues. She kept us updated with lots of pictures and detailed notes, which we loved seeing while we were away. I would definitely rebook again!”

“What a wonderful sitter. Eloise really went above and beyond. The vacation was so much better knowing she was looking after my cat Ben. She helped clean up kitty messes, brought in some packages and helped us with a food crisis when I ran out. What a gem. Highly recommend.”

“We were extremely happy with Katelyn, and the dogs were too! During our meet & greet both dogs went up to her, wagging their tails like she was family. She got them to pose for pictures, which was amazing. They’ve both camera shy and even as an agility trainer I’ve had difficulty getting them to cooperate for family photos. Katelyn went over and above in every way.”

“Cassalyn was a great pet sitter for our two cats and dog. She even got our shy cat to come out and get pet which he has never done for anyone but us! I would love to have her watch them again in the future.”

“D'yandra is fantastic! My dog enjoyed her walks and the time she played with him. He definitely make a new friend. And would be glad to recommend her and will rehire again.”

“Ashlin was wonderful with our three older dogs! Very attentive and followed all the instructions perfectly. This was the first time I used Rover and I was very impressed. We will definitely book her again!”

About: I have a pet dog that came with my room mate at about the age of 6, she is 8 now. She is a fairly mellow dog except for the seperation anxiety. I am good at feeding, walking her, giving her love and treats . That is the only dog experience I have I'm available any time during weekdays and am available for drop ins on the weekends. We can discuss what timing and scheduling works best for your pets. I am able to do a morning visit and an afternoon/evening visit. Additional visits can be added if necessary. I am a very empathetic, open individual with cats. I try to match the cat(s)' energy and build comfort & trust with them. Additionally, I'll make sure they eat, drink, take any necessary medicines, etc. then follow their vibe. The most important thing is that they are safe, feeling good, and taken well care of.

“My husband and I had plans for some of our friends to stop in and check in on our girl after the holidays but with the giant southwest flight cancellations they were no longer able to make it & then our flights also got canceled. We were panicked. So thankful for Stephanie and her last minute stopping in for our girl. I highly recommend her for any of your fur baby needs. Our house is always a disaster when she shows up (got married, holidays, life lol) but she is always so kind and asks so many questions!”
“Ivy loves hanging with Amy! And as a pet owner I feel confident in leaving my sweet puppy with her. She always provides updates and awesome pics so I can see how much fun baby Ivy is having. Ivy is an important part of our family and it’s so nice to have a fellow dog lover take care of her with such love!”

“Gabby was a wonderful cat sitter who was timely, flexible and always sent pictures with thorough updates. It was clear the kitties felt very comfortable with her! I will definitely be using Gabby again!”

“Our pups warmed quite quickly, which was a huge relief, as we were nervous about leaving them since they have been by our side nonstop for over a year. Lauren eased our anxiety by providing us updates and numerous photos.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
