“Nancy was extremely accommodating & a pleasure to deal with. We had lots of questions and she graciously answered every one of them without delay. Thank you Nancy for going above & beyond for us.”

“Aaliyah has been so amazing with my pup Olive! Olive warmed up to her right away and now we get the cutest pics of their time together from Aaliyah. She even made Olive a cute little bow as a gift. So thankful for how considerate Aaliyah has been!!”

“Fantastic experience! Extremely punctual, professional, and respectful from start to finish. My pets were well cared for, and communication was great throughout. Highly recommend!”

“Renee B. is fantastic! She took care of our cats (we have four) while we were away for a week during a holiday. She responded to our initial request very quickly, was quick to set up a visit/meet-and-greet, and communicated early and often leading up to our reservation. During the stay, she took care of our cats every day and really spent time and effort playing with them and sharing creative Rover cards and sending pics/videos of our cats. She also took care of some of our house plants and was just really exceptional overall! We will definitely work with her again and would recommend her to anyone need care of their cat children.”

“Mary is 110% awesome! Now I see why nobody wants to share her. She took amazing care of my sweet kitty. You can see the love in her pictures and the way she cares for animals. I felt so at ease on my vacation. I will NOT be booking anyone else as long as Mary is available!!!”

“Second time using Caitlin. She is awesome and so caring. Love the pics and videos she sends. Makes leaving the furbaby a little easier. Would give more stars if I could!!”

“Margret was amazing. She was there on time every day. She went above and beyond , cleaning out the cans before throwing them away, rinsing off the dishes, and even set our packages that was delivered unexpectedly in the house. Thank you so much !!!! Will diffiantly be using her again!!!”

“Lana was so great dropping in to take care of our 3 dogs while we were out of town. It made being away that much easier knowing the dogs were well taken care of!”
“Casey did great, went out of town to visit family and was worried about my dogs being taken care of. He was prompt with great communication. I definitely recommend and will use again.”

“Joseph and Christine were wonderful. We have two small, rather standoffish dogs and they were able to win them over within just a few visits. It was so comforting to know that they were in great hands while we were away. They arrived for all of their visits exactly when they said they would and they sent lots of pics and updates - their communication was excellent. I would definitely recommend them!”

“Maura was great with Benny & Lilly. We could see from our remote camera how excited they were to see her, how well they listened to her. She was always prompt, and sent pictures, added the notes. Would def book her again if available!”

“Jessica was amazing! Very helpful and my pup is was SO happy:)! She was very punctual and sent some great pics of my pup to ease my mind :)! Looking forward to working with her again:)!”

“Helen took such good care of our guys. She went beyond and put on some animal documentaries for them to watch. She sent many pictures, asked questions, and was a great communicator. She obviously loves animals and they trust her, our more skeptical guy, warmed up to her quickly and giving her many leg rubs. Would highly recommend Helen!”

“Stephanie took great care of our cats! She is so friendly, was great at communicating and keeping us updated during her visits, and gave both of our cats a lot of attention. We highly recommend her and have already rebooked her.”

About: I’m a brand new sitter on the Rover app and I’m excited to be here! I have a lifetime of hands-on experience with animals of all sizes and personalities. Growing up, I was always the go-to pet sitter for friends and neighbors, and I spent years volunteering at animal shelters. For the past 10 years, my home has been a bustling, happy multi-pet household with four rescue fur babies of my own: two cats and two large dogs (a Doberman and a Greyhound). I no longer have animals in my house and I’d love to transition my love for animals to your household. Your babies will be loved, protected, and cared for with the exact same utmost attention I gave my own. I am familiar with caring for dogs who struggle with anxiety and aggression, having managed these traits with my own sweet Dobie. I work remotely Monday-Friday with open weekends. My daily work schedule is very flexible for drop-ins and walks at any time of the day. I also have a car, so I can get to you easily without issues! My top priority when caring for your pets in their own home is maintaining the safety, structure, and daily routines they depend on. I know that welcoming a new sitter requires a high level of trust, which is why I approach every visit with absolute respect and professionalism. I am highly organized, follow all care instructions exactly as written, and will make sure your pets are showered with the attention and affection they deserve.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Davidson
Makenna helped us with last minute drop in visits for our cat while we were away for the weekend. She took great care of our cat for us and made sure to send daily updates with pictures. We returned home to a happy and healthy cat. We highly recommend her services.

Jessica is great. I have two cats and one of them is very shy and the other one is outgoing. They both loved her and I loved that in one of Jessica’s pictures. She actually got a picture of my shy cat rubbing up against her.😻 my cats are very good at judging good people

I had a wonderful experience with Lana. Lana took great care of my cat, despite the challenging weather. Lana provided pictures and updates after each visit. It was very easy to communicate with Lana throughout the weekend. Thank you so much for your help and flexibility! I was so reassured that you were able to come and visit Felicity. I 100% recommend Lana as a pet sitter, and I will call her again next time I travel.

I met Michelle before she started watching my girls and I was sure we would get along. She loves animals and it shows immediately. She was great at letting me know how the cats were doing every visit and I loved the pics. Jill is a bit more shy but when she finally came out to meet who was feeding her it was all over for me. Jillie talking to me on a video sold me on Michele forever. I’ll be using her again. Thank you so much

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Davidson. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
