“Great experience! Julia was very responsive, she sent regular updates and photos which was amazing. She was also incredibly flexible when my travel plans changed last minute and extended the stay without any issues. Highly recommend!”

“Tiffany was awesome! We ended up doing a meet and greet ahead of time to make sure Milo would be ok with her boyfriend, and she asked thoughtful questions about desired communication frequency, Milo’s habits, etc. I would definitely book with her again.”

About: 11 years caring for my Labrador, including training, grooming, feeding, and daily care. Patient, attentive, and skilled at building trust with pets of all ages. My schedule is pretty flexible, and I work around the pets in my care. I currently offer boarding, daycare, drop-in visits, and walks throughout the week. I’m happy to accommodate earlier or later times whenever possible—just ask! 😊 I live with my husband in a pet-friendly apartment in NoDa with an elevator, so there are no stairs to worry about. We currently don’t have any resident pets, creating a calm environment that works especially well for senior dogs, anxious pets, and pets who prefer having the space to themselves. I’ve had animals my entire life. I raised and trained my own Labrador Retriever from the time she was 47 days old, and she was my best friend for 11 wonderful years. I also recently cared for both my senior Labrador and my senior cat through their health challenges, so I’m comfortable following routines, administering medications, and adapting to each pet’s individual needs. I enjoy grooming and helping puppies learn good habits through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, understood, and right at home. To provide personalized care, I keep my bookings small. Occasionally, there may be one other friendly guest staying at the same time, depending on compatibility and everyone’s comfort level. If your pet does best as the only pet, please let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate their needs.

“I’ve never used Rover or boarded my dog before, so I was honestly a little nervous. But Lauryn made me feel so comfortable from the start, especially since this was a last minute booking. She sent pictures every day and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. Great communication and overall a great experience. I’ll definitely be booking with her again for my next trip!”

“Dana was very detailed about what to bring for his stay, which we really appreciated. She sent regular updates and pictures, which kept us reassured and informed about how he was doing. It meant a lot to see him settling in and making friends with the other dogs she was caring for. Overall, we felt very comfortable leaving him with her and would definitely recommend her.”

“We are so thankful we found Winnie on Rover. She took the sweetest care of our little pup providing daily (am and pm) updates including pictures while we were away. I loved how Laika was spoiled and seemed to feel comfortable enough to show you her personality. Beyond grateful to you!!”
“Torrey was a dream & I can’t recommended her enough! I was nervous leaving my dog for the first time with someone other than family and Torrey really helped me feel at ease. She took a bunch of pictures of him and made sure to communicate about how he was doing. She took him running and treated him like her own. I’ll definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“Cait-Lynn is phenomenal. Her communication is really great and consistent. Her love for animals is apparent. I was a bit hesitant to have someone watch my dog, but Cait-Lynn really made the whole process easy giving a lot of peace of mind. She had a ton of good reviews when I researched and I can see why. My dog had the best time. I will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Clover had a great time with Karina and her pups. She sent us a ton of pics, which we greatly appreciated. Would love to stay with her again.”

“Ms. Jeanette always takes such good care of our Nala girl. Very attentive and caring sitter. She sent us videos and pictures every day. Nala got some good exercise in with those long walks too! Thank you 😊”

“Love having Kate watch my cat Tigre! I can tell by how excited Tigre is to be in her presence and resistant her is to leave every time that he loves her so much😂! She gives frequent updates with photos and videos and I always feel super at ease when she watches him. She's the best!”

“My normal sitter could not watch my babies due to a family emergency. After being in a tizzy I decided to try Rover. After reviewing several profiles I came across Allison. Although she lived a good distance she seemed to be a.good fit for them. No lie, I was nervous for I have never left them with no one I or them don't know. Well, I had the best experience ever. She sent pictures everyday and good ones at that. I'm a lil jealous I can only get a good one every once in a while. They looked happy and comfortable. Usually when I'm gone they don't eat which had me nervous. Allison stated at 1st they wouldn't but started too. My trip was only supposed to last a week but after a bunch of delays and break downs I ended up being gone for 2 1/2 weeks and Allison was able to accommodate my changes. She doesn't know how much that meant to me and ease the stress of what was going on. My babies felt so much love and attention that they act like they didn't miss me. I highly recommend Allison to anyone.”

“She took such great care of my baby boy, always sent pictures and videos to let me know he’s doing well! I will absolutely be bringing him back to relax in his new home with his new friends :)”

“This was our first experience with Rover. Our dog just turned one and we had boarded her at a commercial facility and a home atmosphere appealed to us as an alternative so we tried it out. Alyssa and Spencer are fantastic. We met with them beforehand just to ease our concerns and the weekend went so well that we rebooked for two more trips this summer. We highly recommend them!”

“Sydney and Derek were fantastic! They kept me updated throughout the day with photos of what they were doing, took Gallagher on walks, and clearly gave him a lot of care and attention. It was really reassuring to see how happy and well looked after he was. I’ll definitely be using them again!”

“Kristine and her mom took great care of our high maintenance senior Pomeranian. They sent us updates on how she was doing, which really put our mind at ease (this was her first time not boarding at her vet). Very easy to work with and will definitely book again! Highly recommend! Thank you for everything!”

“My dog had a wonderful time with lots of space and attention! My dog also needed some eye drops which are a pain to administer and Beverly helped give those to him which was so nice!”

“Alexandra and her girls were wonderful with my dog, Lexi. She sent me regular pictures and videos and it looked like Lexi felt loved and secure with them. I will definitely use them again.”

Bogi's stay was excellent...we received many pictures of his stay and adventures while we were away... Caitlyn and Ryan treated Bogi just like he is their own...We were able to enjoy our trip even more knowing he was so well taken care of!!! Thanks so much Caitlyn!!!!!

I had a great experience boarding my dog with Maria and her fiancé! I received pictures and videos daily and could tell that my pup was receiving the same amount of care and attention that she's used to at home. I will absolutely be using Maria in the future for boarding if she's available!

Christine and family watched Moose from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon and took great care of him to giving him extra attention when I left, walks, playing rope tug-of-war, a pup cup, a picnic, and a trip to the brewery. If I hadn't come to pick him up on Sunday I don't think we would have cared. Christine sent just the right amount of pictures at the right interval and make me feel comfortable that Moose was well taken care of. I highly recommend Christine and would use her again.

Vanessa and Greg are, without a doubt, the best dog sitters we’ve ever had. Our dog, Jerry, is always well cared for with anyone, but it’s obvious he absolutely loves staying with them. The excitement on his face when he sees them and how happy and relaxed he is when we pick him up says everything. It’s clear they genuinely love him, and that means the world to us. They treat him like he’s part of their family, and we never have to worry while we’re away because we know he’s getting so much love, attention, and care. Finding people you trust completely with your dog is rare, and Vanessa and Greg are truly a godsend. We are so grateful for them, and Jerry can’t wait for his next stay every time. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I can’t recommend Yenny enough! She has been so attentive and caring with my Ruby. During Ruby’s stay, Yenny noticed the early signs of an ear infection and made sure to keep her ears as clean as possible while I was away. I felt completely confident knowing Ruby was in such capable hands. Yenny always goes above and beyond, and I never have to worry when she’s taking care of my little girl.

Hannah is amazing! She responded so quickly and we were able to schedule a meet and greet before booking her. She is so energetic and welcoming. She was very attentive and would send pictures all the time. She is great! We already rebooked her for later in the summer!!!!

Rachel and Paul were fantastic! They took the time to meet with me and Luca beforehand and really made an effort to understand his specific needs and routine. Throughout the stay, they were incredibly communicative and kept me updated with lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Luca was well cared for and happy. I would absolutely book with Rachel and Paul again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

We are so glad we found Charlotte! Our dog Richard and her dog Shakey are now best friends. We felt at ease all weekend and she shared lots of photos with us! She has an awesome backyard that Richard enjoyed all weekend! We will use Charlotte (and Shakey!) for future trips for sure.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
