“Andrew is spot on professional always on time, returns messages quickly, has a great personality for caring for your fur family member. I highly recommend him.”

“Kristen is a wonderful dog sitter! Our pups have the best time with her. She is excellent at communicating day to day updates about our pups (she takes the best pictures of them) and really treats them like part of her family. We appreciate her patience with them and their individual needs… especially when they might need extra TLC! We feel confident leaving our pups with her & wonder if they might like her better than us at the end of their stay. :)”
“Jess, Dan, and Pablo were wonderful with our dog George. You can tell they truly care about your animal and sent great pictures and updates. Highly recommend, and would love for George to stay with them again!”

“Heaven sent!! Christal (and her sweet kiddos) were a true blessing. My dog landed in the perfect home while we were vacationing. The communication was prompt, from the moment I requested her services (at 4AM), Christal answered and took in my puppy that same afternoon. He was well cared for, seemed happy with his daily walks and play time. I appreciate the photos I would receive throughout the day. I recommend Christal and will definitely reach out to her when I need a pet sitter. Christal: Thank you SO MUCH! Max sends his love to you and your family!”

“Rachel and her family did a great job with Wylie! She allowed us to come meet her and see the house before hand, which really put me at ease since this was our first time using Rover. She also kept us super updated and sent us pictures of Wylie every day. Thank you for loving our girl, Rachel!!”

“Shalyn is caring and good in updating us about Max. She accommodated our requests and thanks for making Max feel at home. She is very good and I would highly recommend her to anyone.”

About: I have been pet sitting for almost 30 years . I have a medium/ large dog and two cats and they allow me to live in their world. We are all big CANES fans! I am open to specific requests for playtimes or routines for boarding, drop ins and walking. Is there a specific route you want us to take? Is there a certain bedtime routine you like them to follow? I can accommodate most requests in order to make your pet fill at ease when I am visiting or sitting. I will evaluate and accept same day requests when possible. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions. I work 12 min away from my office so I am able to check the animals multiple times per day if needed. Outside of work, I keep an open schedule to provide service when needed. I have a small fenced in yard but will provide at least two walks per day. I can keep your pet separated if needed. If not, then your baby will become a part of ours and join the rest of the pack that runs the house.
“Laura was really flexible with our changing timelines for drop off and pick up. She was always very responsive. She gave updates each day we were away and was so sweet and loving to our puppy. This was our first experience with boarding and were a little nervous. Our puppy has a mild separation anxiety but he did great with Laura. He was very affectionate with her when we came to pick him up. He also didn’t have any issues after we got home. We will definitely rebook with Laura!”

“Nothing to say but great things about our pup staying with Ashley and Robert!! We know she is so loved and well taken care of. They are the best!”

“Absolutely wonderful experience. Brought me peace after seeing how much Jazz really felt comfortable. Kept me updated throughout the entire stay, which brought a smile on my face. I would definitely book again and recommend!”

“Carol was excellent. She catered to our Bichons Frisé ‘s special needs. It was our first time on Rover with Carol and she was amazing. Hope to continue bringing Ellie to Carol when we need her.”

“This was the first time the dog stayed with Lizbeth for an sleepover and they did so wonderfully. She is so lovely to work with and so kind with our dogs. The best!”

“Ozzy was a happy pup while with Shannon for the weekend. He had plenty of exercise and pampering and I especially appreciated all the pictures sent during his stay. I highly recommend Shannon and will definitely call on her again if in the area and need care for my pup.”

“Susan has cared for Toby on several occasions. Toby always comes home happy! Susan is great with him as a senior boy, handling him carefully and giving him his medications.”

“Jinetta was amazing! Haku had a blast staying with her and her family. She always made sure to send me daily videos and photos which helped keep my mind at ease being away from my fur baby. She also happened to be housing another husky at the time and Haku definitely made a new friend out of Kenny. I will definitely be rebooking with Jinetta for any future needs. Thank you again for all your attention and care!!”

“Stacey is a sweet person and has an awesome set up for the dogs. I got so many pictures of my dogs playing I think they are a little sad to be home! I hated to leave my dogs, but she took great care of them and I will definitely use her the next time I go out of town!”
“Lindsay was great! She was very thoughtful and sent us pictures of our golden retriever. She sent us daily updates. We were very lucky to find Lindsay to take care of our dog. I will highly recommend her pet sitter services.”

“Anne and Crag took such good care of Soleil. They have a nice size fenced in yard which Soleil really enjoyed. I got updates and pictures and was not worried about my baby at all. We couldn’t be more thrilled to find such caring sitters. I highly recommend them. Thank you so very much Anne and Craig.”

Emma was great with Wylie! This was our first time leaving our 3 month pup so we were really sad but Emma made sure to provide multiple updates. Wylie was so happy to have other dogs to play with and she was nice and worn out by the time we took her home. Wylie seemed to love it so we can’t wait to re book with Emma!!

This was my first time using Loren's services, and I'm so grateful I found her! From the very beginning, she was incredibly sweet, communicative, and made me feel completely at ease. She came by our home to meet him a week before we traveled. It truly felt like she cared for Bentley as if he were her own. I was honestly reluctant to write this review because I wanted to keep her all to myself for Bentley! 😆 But seriously, she deserves all the recognition. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Loren to any dog parent looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable. She is absolutely amazing, and Bentley and my family are so blessed to have found her! ❤️🐾

Andrew was great. He took our dog Percy in last minute before a family trip. Long story short, a couple of days prior to leaving, our dog got attacked by another dog, and had a couple of scratches and bites. A sitter we had booked no longer felt comfortable taking him (understandably) because we weren’t sure how he’d do around other dogs. Thankfully, Percy and Kona got along well. We felt that Percy was in safe hands— Andrew sent picture updates every couple of days. Percy had a great time playing with Kona! Would absolutely recommend and rebook again.

We could not have asked for a better sitter! Jinetta let us bring Rory over for a meet and greet before boarding and really took her time getting to know Rory and playing with him, and her daughter did, too! Jinetta was very communicative throughout Rory's stay, detailing his routine and sending lots of photos where Rory always seemed to be having the time of his life. We are so grateful!

Art was great! Our original rover unfortunately cancelled within a few days of our booking and thankfully he was available and flexible with our travel plans. He was responsive and sent picture/video updates throughout her stay which we really appreciated. Gracie can be a little anxious away from us and she seemed happy and comfortable while there.

Emily was amazing! She gave daily updates and sent pictures of my kitty. She was easy to get in touch with and responded very quickly to any questions I had. Most importantly, my cat seems to be very happy spending time with her. They took very good care of her and were very gentle with Cleo. I will definitely rebook with Emily.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
