“Niedra was great! She was super responsive and frequently sent picture and video updates! She was also very accommodating with scheduling! Will definitely be booking her to keep Winston in the future!”

“I felt so comfortable leaving Wrigley with Shalyn, her family and her dog, Scout. He got plenty of belly rubs and snuggle time during his visit. Shalyn Was great about sending pics and updates. They have a wonderful fenced in backyard for playtime. Wrigley hopes to get to visit again soon and play with Scout.”

“Sarah was wonderful! We had to add an extra day, and she was so sweet to accommodate our last-minute change in our travel plans. We loved receiving the pictures and videos and we never had to worry about them! We will most definitely be contacting her to keep Sam and Charlie in the near future!”

“Andrew did such a great job taking care of our "Spice Girls," Nutmeg and Cinnamon. They absolutely loved him! He sent us great pictures of them hanging out with his dog and snuggling with him. They felt right at home. We would definitely use Andrew again when we need a dog sitter!”

“Murphy loved his stay with Colin! Colin was responsive and sent updates throughout the stay. I would certainly have Murphy back to Colin’s again knowing he is in great hands! Highly recommend.”

“We have left our sweet Luna twice now, and I don’t think we could go anywhere else. From the moment we drop her off, I know she is in a great place and loved. Always sending lots of pictures and keeping me updated on how she ate, her mood, and what fun activities she did for the day. I highly recommend Jeff & Lilia.”

“Emma is amazing! We boarded our dog Luna with her for 5 days and she took such good care of her. She is very responsive and send pics and updates several times everyday. Her family (and pets) set-up is also perfect for our dog. Luna looked very happy. Will board with her again!”

“We have a somewhat neurotic corgi and both Kristine and her mother Snow were very understanding and patient about her special needs. Kristine was traveling so Snow watched our pup for 3 days and I felt that she genuinely cared for her wellbeing, showed her love and that she was safe while we were away. I would have liked a few more updates, but Snow sent enough that I did know how she was doing and that she was OK.”

“2nd time having Anna watch our aging labradoodle. You can tell she really cares for animals and we love all of the video and photo updates. Will absolutely reach out to her for future needs.”

“Cody was great and sent lots of photo/video updates. Rocky loved his kids and had lots of snuggles and ball time! Cody was also super flexible because of a flight cancellation and it was a relief to know Rocky was so well taken care of!”

“Kristen was an absolute gem! She was so great to our energetic puppy! Our pup had an extended stay with her and she handled his dietary needs, our last minute change of plans, and all of his puppy energy and occasional accidents with grace. Highly recommend her!”

If you're looking for a boarder who treats your pet as their own, look no further than Nathalie. She asked thoughtful questions ahead of the booking and provided many updates throughout the day so I could be assured that my dog was not only safe and cared for, but was also having the time of his life. I also felt like Nathalie's location, which is convenient for me personally, was also very conducive for stimulating walks. I'm so grateful to have been matched with Nathalie on this platform. Now, leaving town will not be as stressful knowing he is getting so much love and affection while I am away.

Natalie has cared for our dog on more than one occasion. She’s caring, loving and responsive. Natalie treats ChiChi as if she were her own dog. Even though Natalie has moved farther away from us, I gladly make the trip to her home because she’s the best sitter for ChiChi.

Wei took excellent care of our dog! She was incredibly flexible with our schedule, which we really appreciated. She also kept us updated by sending pictures, giving us peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend Wei and would definitely trust her with our dog again!

My dog had a wonderful week-long stay with Jessi. I can tell she truly loves animals. She sent multiple pictures of cuddling and walking my pup. I knew Louie was in good hands. When I picked him up to go home, he kept sitting in her front area, looking back at her front door wondering why she wasn’t coming with us haha. So I can tell he really loves her. Thanks Jessi!

This was my first time using Loren's services, and I'm so grateful I found her! From the very beginning, she was incredibly sweet, communicative, and made me feel completely at ease. She came by our home to meet him a week before we traveled. It truly felt like she cared for Bentley as if he were her own. I was honestly reluctant to write this review because I wanted to keep her all to myself for Bentley! 😆 But seriously, she deserves all the recognition. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Loren to any dog parent looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable. She is absolutely amazing, and Bentley and my family are so blessed to have found her! ❤️🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
