I’m a stay at home mom with two young kids, an Aussie dog named Odin, and a cat named Bunny. We are home all the time and would be happy to have your fur baby join us! We have a big backyard and the park/greenway is a 5 minute walk from our house so we try to get outside as much as we can.

Information Amanda & David M. would like to know about your pet

For Boarding and Doggy Day Care Inquiries: We’ve become quite the fur pawty house thanks to so many wonderful reviews! Having said that, we do have a few pointers to keep in mind prior to reaching out for a booking: • Most of our clients are repeat customers as both the dog owner and dog appreciate our Rover offer! We love the relationships we’re building through this community! • We require all first time bookings to have a meet and greet before approval. This ensures compatibility with your pup and our family dynamic (we have two little ones at home and they love dogs, but not all dogs love kids!). Meet and greets take about 15-20 minutes at our house and gives you a chance to see our setup, see how your dog does in our house, and ask any questions. We find meet and greets give pet owners peace of mind and comfort knowing where their doggie will be during their stay! • My husband works at home and is on calls and our little ones nap during the day. If your dog is prone to barking, whining, and/or crying, we won’t be a good fit as our family needs to function properly in our own home. Dogs who tend to have separation anxiety won’t be a good fit for us as I need to be able to tend to my children’s needs without worrying about a dog who can’t be left alone while we’re all at home (who may be on a separate floor for naps, baths, etc). and we do have baby gates in place to separate our floors. • Your dog is welcome to sleep at night on our couch, in their bed, etc. but we can’t have them sleep in our room. Our cat is slow to feel comfortable with Rover doggies and rarely comes down to the first and second floors (where office/entry, kitchen and living room are located). Our cat tends to stay in the master bedroom on the third and fourth floors as this is her safe haven. We have baby gates between our floors (we live in a townhome) and your dog is welcome to the first and second floors but can’t go upstairs to the bedrooms. If your dog needs to sleep in/on a bed next to a human, we won’t be a good fit. I’ve spent many nights sleeping on a couch with a first time Rover doggie here and it doesn’t provide restful sleep for me, especially as a mom to two little ones at home, to function to the needs of the house the next day. We need to be able to function properly in our own home, and hope you understand! • If it’s your first time booking with us for an overnight boarding that is longer than a weekend (ex. a week) we strongly encourage an overnight trial run for one night first to see how your dog fits into our environment. Meet and greets are helpful but we’ve unfortunately had to modify bookings once a dog gets dropped off and help the owner find other plans if their dog doesn’t feel comfortable (ex. has bad separation anxiety, or doesn’t love the childhood chaos of music, toys, laughter and cries) in our loving home. • If your dog tends to mark or have accidents in the house, we won’t be a good fit as we have little ones walking and crawling and we can’t accommodate the extra monitoring and cleaning. Sorry puppies and accident prone doggies! • Rover dogs truly become part of the family during their stay with us, and we love thinking of our family as an extension of yours! Dogs free roam in our house and lounge on furniture. They’re with our family all the time and imprint lasting memories on our children. It’s not uncommon for our eldest to ask where a doggie is once they leave as she loves having them around. It really is such a joy to experience how happy dogs and kids are when they’re together!! • We do not kennel (unless owner requests and then we require you to bring your kennel) and suggest any items that make your dog feel more at home (bed, blanket, toys, etc.) are strongly encouraged for packing. • If your dog loves to be around other people and dogs, and is well mannered and socialized, our home is a great fit! We do accept bookings from different owners at the same time (especially since we have such loyal repeat customers whose dogs love being here!!) and honestly the house is filled with love and joy when there’s more tail wagging and smiles involved. • Be prepared for lots of photos and updates! We try our best to capture moments, from the sweet to the funny and the mundane, so you can feel like you’re not missing out on your fur baby’s fun time! If you’d rather unplug and not receive updates every few hours (ex. once a day check in is fine for you), kindly let us know so we can adjust our updates based on your preferences. If all this sounds good to you, send us a message and we’ll connect with you very soon. Hope you and your fur baby can join our loving community!

A typical day

Our house is within walking distance to several dog parks, a massive park and greenway connecting to downtown. We also have a big backyard (perfect for throwing a ball or frisbee around alongside our Aussie, Odin). We’re usually at home with the kids and dogs or playing outside!

Pet care experience

I’ve taken care of others’ dogs (young and very old) as repeat clients for over 10 years - just not on Rover. My shih tzu, Murphy, passed away in November 2025 at the age of 17.5. He battled kidney disease for over a year and required daily IV fluids and medicine. His senior care became a top priority for me and led me down a path of dog caretaker in addition to dog mom. Rover provides us the joy of loving on others dogs and welcoming them into our home!

Amanda takes top tier care of my dog Jenny when I’m in need of assistance. Her frequent updates and dedication bring me so much peace of mind when I’m out of town. Can’t recommend her services enough. The only complaint I have is that I think my dog might rather live with Amanda than me!! 🫣 Thank you, Amanda and David!!!! ❤️
