I am currently a stay at home mom of teenagers. They do keep me busy as I have an athlete at home but with them being older and self sufficient, I have the time and flexibility to work with pet parents needs.

BOARDING: At my home, I have a large fenced in yard that has been reinforced due to 1 of our own dogs being an escape artist. We do not crate our dogs as a personal choice and will allow any dogs staying with us to roam freely, as long as pet parents are comfortable with that. I strive to make animals feel at home because I know the feeling that comes with having to leave your pets in someone else’s care. I do not board more than 1 pet at a time to ensure I can give adequate attention to our own dogs and our guest :) I also find that dogs are like people, and sometimes combining too many personalities in one space can be chaotic. HOUSESITTING: The standard overnight housesitting rate covers a normal daily routine where I sleep at your home and provide all scheduled meals and potty breaks. Absence Window: The standard rate for housesitting assumes your pet can safely be left alone for blocks of up to 6 hours at a time. This allows me to run errands, attend to other work, and commute. I also maintain a normal personal and social schedule outside of pet sitting but will accommodate my schedule to ensure meal times and potty breaks are given in a timely fashion. ***Constant Care Policy*** If your pet cannot be left alone for up to 6 hours, requires medical supervision, or suffers from separation anxiety, this falls under Constant Care. Continuous or 24/7 supervision requires an upgraded rate and must be discussed prior to booking. I am happy and willing to accommodate your needs to the best of my ability within the standard rate. I completely understand some pets require extra care. However, it is my hope that potential clients understand that needing a sitter for a significant portion of a 24 hour period does justify an increase in rate. Core Care Provided: I will always return to ensure all meals, walks, and baseline needs are flawlessly met. Medical/Insulin Policy: I am experienced in administering medications, including insulin injections. Because injections require strict 12-hour timing and care, an additional surcharge will be added to the booking.

Bart and Biscuit get walks daily and never mind having company :) When they aren’t exploring our neighborhood, they are wandering our yard discovering new smells and chasing one another. They also enjoy car rides and are open to bringing canine friends along! They have more toys than they know what to do with and don’t mind sharing. They are spoiled boys who get lots of treats and they will share with a guest as long as their diet allows for it!

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
I am a lifelong animal lover and have been caring for animals ever since I was a teenager. Today I am the proud mama of a 3 1/2 year-old standard poodle named Biscuit and an 8 year old Labradoodle named Bart. A couple of years ago, my teenage daughters started babysitting and pet sitting in our neighborhood and naturally I got involved every now and then which eventually led me to Rover. Something interesting about our family is that our older dog, Bart, is a rescue and has quite the story! We drove to Ohio in August 2019 to pick him up and when we got back to Charlotte, he jumped our fence at the time and was missing for 4 months. We worked independently and with an animal tracker over the course of those months - setting up cameras where sightings were reported, setting up food traps, and plastering flyers all over Charlotte and Matthews. Then one day in December, all of our hard work paid off and a lovely woman was able to lure Bart into her yard with her own dogs. It has been a long road since then, but we are blessed to say that he has come a long way and is a very different dog than the one we picked up in Ohio all those years ago! That experience taught us so much and was a true testament to the power of determination and dedication. We truly believe that Bart was meant to be in our family.
