About: I have taken care of family and relative's dogs for about two years. It mainly consisted of pitbulls. I have also owned three cats since I was 15 <3 As a nursing student, I can promise I will treat your dogs just as I treat my patients, with patiences and care,. I am currently studying for my NCLEX. I've volunteered at the Evanston Animal Shelter weekly for over a year and love working with "difficult" cats. I also previously fostered with Hyde Park Cats until I "foster-failed" and adopted a formerly feral tabby named Buttercup. My first cat, Rocky, sadly passed away last year just shy of his 20th birthday. He lived with kidney disease for over 4 years and required a lot of at-home medical care in his final years. I know how difficult it can be to find a sitter for a senior cat who needs a level of care beyond drop-in visits and/or can't be left alone for more than a few hours at a time. Rachel took fantastic care of Carl while I was out of town and in desperate need of a walker. I usually leave him with friends he knows so I was anxious for him to be cared for by someone new (he’s great with people I’m the mess 😂) but by their second or third walk Carl was super excited to see Rachel when she came by. She made sure he got the long walk he needed despite him being a bit nervous with a new walker (the city still makes him a bit skittish) and made sure he was all set at home without me even asking before she left. I also loved getting photos and updates on my sweet boy while I was gone. She will definitely be our go to on Rover from now on!
