“Lindsay has been walking Tobey and Poppy for a few months now. We absolutely love her! She takes the time to spend with them and makes sure they are happy. She is a great communicator, we always know how they enjoyed the walk. She goes above and beyond with time spent and caring for my dogs. She is really appreciated!”

About: I've been a pet owner since I was a child (dogs, rabbits, hamsters, birds, and even fish). I have experience with large breed dogs (Rottweiler, Doberman, German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Belgian Malinois, Cane Corso, Dalmatian, Newfoundland, Bernedoodle, & more), small breed dogs (American Bulldogs, Pugs, Dachshunds, Beagles, Yorkies, Malteses, Chihuahuas, & more), and everything in between. I strongly believe fur babies are family! I started dog sitting after losing my fur baby (a Pug, aged 17) in 2016. Although I no longer board dogs in my home (I now have 2 PitWeenie rescue dogs, Lilo & Stitch), I happily dog sit in your home, and I enjoy providing drop in visits, as well as dog walking! Since I work part-time, I am somewhat flexible with my schedule! House Sitting - extended 'dog sitting' (much like babysitting), and overnight care in your own home Dog Walks - mornings, afternoons (2pm through 5pm), evenings (5pm through 9pm), late evenings are possible for special circumstances Drop-in Visits - mornings, afternoons (2pm through 5pm), evenings (5pm through 11pm) Feedings, administering medication, play sessions, and more! Fur babies are family members, and it's up to me to make sure your family members maintain their same daily schedule they are used to. If you tell me they love to eat their meals with a human sitting on the floor with them, that's what I'll do. If they are used to sleeping in bed with their humans, they get to sleep in bed with this human, too! My goal: make your dog feel as is nothing has changed, other than the human, in their home.
About: New to Rover but not new to pet-sitting. I have had pets or been around animals my entire life (including puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, fish, rabbits, and birds) and they have always been considered a part of the family. I love every pet as if they’re my own- prepare for the custody battle 😅. lol jk. In all seriousness, your pets comfort is important to me and I am confident they will feel right at home. I have experience with puppies and all the beautiful challenges that come with that stage, as well as senior care. I have also had experience with adopting my own dog with reactive tendencies which has made me hyper aware of the importance of dogs social cues both with animals and people, and reading their body language/boundaries. Safety for all parties involved is always my top priority. I work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible. Walks availability: Anytime Sun-Tues, (Wed-Sat hours fluctuate, will need to discuss exact needs.) Doggy daycare availability: Anytime Sun-Sat (if pick-up/drop-off needed will need to discuss availability in more depth.) Boarding availability: Anytime Sun-Sat (if pick-up/drop-off needed will need to discuss availability in more depth.) Boarding with me offers you the peace of mind that your animals will be the only pets in the home, for no additional charge. I currently have boarding slots set up to 2 at a time but only take animals from the same household. However, feel free to contact me regarding specific availability needs. For example, do you have 2 dogs and a cat? Are your pets from different households but already familiar with each other? Based on your pets specific needs, we can discuss alternate solutions. I do require meet & greets for any new clients to ensure it’s a good fit and safety requirements are met for all. We can discuss what works best for your pet. As long as animal is house broken and properly trained, I am flexible with crate/uncrated visits/boarding. My apartment complex is dog friendly but unfenced so would require on leash walks. Property also includes fenced in dog area, or I am open to dog park runs if that is your preference. If scheduling crated boarding, will need to provide own crate.
About: I’ve been caring for and loving animals my whole life, whether it’s walks, playtime, or just good company, I’m here to treat your pet like family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m in online college and have a flexible job, so I can be available whenever your pet needs me. I especially love going on long walks, so your pup will get plenty of exercise, attention, and fresh air throughout the week. I follow your pet’s routine closely, whether it’s crating, giving meds, or any special care. I keep their space clean, secure, and calm so they feel safe and cared for at all times.
“Dana was amazing with my dog Winnie. She is absolutely fabulous to the point where I think Winnie is disappointed I came home. I can’t say enough about her. I highly recommend.”

About: Hi! I currently have a 3 year old blue heeler/border collie mix! I love dogs and have experience with positive reinforcement training, dealing with dog aggression (toward food, toys, other dogs, etc.), and live a very active lifestyle where I can provide your dog with plenty of stimulation and fun. I can’t wait to meet your pup! My schedule is completely open for the next few months as my job just ended in September and I have 3 months off. I’m fully available until January I believe in keeping dogs mentally and physically stimulated using toys, treats, and exercise. I will take your dog on walks and/or let them run around in the yard, whichever they prefer. I also like to walk trails and sometimes go on runs if the weather allows, so I’m always up for that too if your dog is!
“Kate is incredibly reliable and truly treats my dog like family. She went above and beyond by sending thoughtful updates, photos, and making sure their walk was full of care and attention, as she is an older dog. I feel completely at ease with Kate and will be booking again when needed!!”

“Madison is great! Great communication, followed all the steps needed to properly walk Enzo and went above and beyond to ensure my dog was taken care of. The photos provided during the walks were a nice touch and shows that Madison provides high quality customer service!! I would highly recommend Madison and would definitely use her services again in the future.”

About: I've had dogs since I was born and been caring for family members cats for 10 years. I took care of my American foxhound for 12 years, and currently am a pet parent of 2 beagles (Thunder and Lightning). I have also been reliably taking care of friends and family members cats, dogs, birds, and even a few rodents. I love meeting new animals and taking care of them is something I have always enjoyed. I am happy to drop-in, walk, and/or bath your pet (supplies provided) I am currently working full time but taking care of animals is a passion of mine and I am happy to accept requests for nighttimewalks on weekdays (after 7pm) and walks for anytime on weekends. I have a small apartment so getting out and going for multiple walks a day is a must for my pets. Often I will go to the West side highway dog park or the dog park on the East River walking path. If your pet is more high energy I also enjoy going for runs with dogs on weekends.
About: I’ve been a dog owner most of my life, beginning when I was just a child. We had our boy Ozzy, a beautiful yellow lab, for 14 unforgettable years. Once we got over his passing early in 2024, we adopted a beautiful, spunky little guy named Koa! He’s a lab/terrier mix and currently about 10 months old. I am his primary caregiver while my wife is at work, and we are what I like to say ‘best buds 4 life!’ :). I am also deeply committed to learning how to train him, and in the process have learned a ton about the training side of things. He was a bit wild when we got him at 7 months old and we paid a professional to teach us how to train him. So I am certainly no stranger to spunky, high-energy dogs! When our boy Ozzy was getting up in age, he unfortunately started dealing with anxiety, confusion, and bowel problems. I am definitely sympathetic and more than qualified to deal with older dogs too. Taking care of our boy Koa is actually my full-time gig right now, so my daily schedule is mostly open. As I get more clients I suspect that could change but for now I’m very available. This includes most weekends and holidays too. I am well-versed in dog walking and/or sitting. For boarding, we have a nice big fenced-in yard that’s secure. Lots of toys and balls. :).
About: My background in canine care began at the Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center in Huntington, NY in 2008. I was employed there for several years as a dog walker and socializer, working with a wide variety of dogs and puppies from many different walks of life. All of the dogs were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with exercise, playtime, feeding, and even medication distribution. After working at the shelter, I found myself at a few local grooming parlors, working as a bather. As you've probably experienced, most dogs do not love being bathed and groomed, and so I would try my very best to make them comfortable in the unfamiliar situation they were in, taking the time to check in on them frequently and give them lots of reassurance and loving. Patience goes a long way! In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house and pet sitting job. However, since then I've been working a full time office job and have been unable to enjoy much time with canine companions. I will regularly pet sit for close friends and family, but I'm ready to spend more time around furry friends! I'd love to meet you and your pup and ensure that they're properly taken care of and loved while you're out on the weekend, working, or away on vacation! I'm currently working part-time, with a very flexible schedule, so there's a good chance I'll be able to accommodate your scheduling needs! Reach out to me with any questions. I have two cats at who are cautious of other animals, so I'm happy to care for your pet in your home! I'd love to learn about your pet's routine and preferences to provide them the best care possible.
“I found Michelle at the last minute and she responded within 10 minutes. She was able to accommodate a meet and greet and 2 dog walks for my little guys all in 3 days. She did great walking them and paying them lots of attention. Thanks Michelle!!!!!”

About: I've been raising and caring for cats and dogs since I was 9, trusted from a young age to sit for and walk neighbors' dogs. I'm a filmmaker and photographer who works for myself. My time is my time. I'm very flexible with my schedule and and accommodate most days/nights as needed. I have a spacious condo that is surrounded by walking trails and is a short drive to several beaches and county parks. I also have a balcony for pets who like to get outside but stay close to home.
