“I left my 4 year old boxer Zeus with Donna for 8 days. It was winter recess & the first time we left him with someone he was not overly familiar with. Donna was friendly and responsive to my text messages so we set up a greet and meet to visit her in person. I noticed she was extremely knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior. I felt Zeus would be in very good hands after our meet and greet and locked the date in. Donna let me know she had a few other dogs she was also watching that week, but knew with her knowledge he would be fine and perhaps beneficial since Zeus loves playing with other dogs. After a week long play date Zeus is now tired but very content . It was nice knowing I could go away and not have to worry about my pup! I will be using Donna again in future. Thank you Donna :)”

About: I was a teacher for 4 years and therefore have a lot of patience. I have had dogs and cats in my house throughout my life and love them dearly. I have also trained puppies before. I have my own small business and am looking for something in the mornings to do. She took care of my two cats for a week while I was in the process of moving, and from the very start (booking on the app) she made everything so easy and completely stress-free. About: My background in cat care began in The League for Animal Protection of Huntington, NY in 2007. I volunteered there as an animal care associate, working with a variety of kittens and cats from many different walks of life. All of the cats were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with socialization, feeding, and even medication distribution. In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house- and cat-sitting job. After that, I entered the full-time workforce and adopted my first cat and love of my life Avery. Avery has since passed, but my home is now occupied by his feline brothers (in spirit): Handsome and Bubbles. They bring me more joy than I could ever imagine! About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day. “From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

When we created our private doggie suite, I was thinking of all the things I would want our dogs to have if we were away. Our checklist of amenities include: - private couch/futon for lounging - clean fresh water bowls 24/7 - several breaks for play time outside - 24 hour recorded camera monitoring in - secured locked doors -AC and/or heat & fans with temp alerts - TV and ALEXA/echo music - fenced secure yard - easily cleaned floors **rates are for 24 hour periods. After 24 hours, it’s $10 an hour. - puppies and tiny dogs may stay in smaller secure area or my be bought in our home. -LOTS OF LOVE AND ATTENTION ❤️ When taking care of dogs, it's important to provide them with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Here are some fun activities I can do with the dogs I watch: Walking is a great way to provide dogs with exercise and mental stimulation. I Choose different routes and places to walk, such as a local park, beach, or hiking trail. Most dogs love playing fetch. I can take your dog or dogs with your permission to a fenced dog's park and play a game of fetch with a ball or frisbee. Dogs love to play with toys, such as squeaky toys or tug ropes.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs (and other animals!) for many years. Family, friends, and co-workers have relied on me to watch and care for their pets whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, even taking them to the vet. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, from senior bull mastiffs to pugs under a year old. There is no dog too big or too small because they’re all perfect to me. I’ve also found lost dogs and helped them return to their owners! I have experience caring for anxious dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with mobility issues, and dogs that require medication. Other animals I’ve taken care of include: cats, parrots, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. Pets are so precious, they’re such an important source of joy in their family’s lives so it’s such a privilege to be trusted with their care!! :) Pet sitting is currently my full time job, so I have lots of time to give your animals the special care and attention they deserve! I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for dogs to run around in. I also have a car so I’m able to take dogs to the dog park or dog beaches nearby (if that’s something they would enjoy). At a client’s house I still follow any guidance/schedule given to me. In between I typically take the dog’s lead. I’m at their house so it’s important to me that I respect their space (and the clients above all)! I like to take their cues to make sure that their sense of routine isn’t disrupted.

She is also happy (and trained) to give your dog space if that is the pup’s preference - I have enough space in my home that dogs can relax separately from one another if they prefer that. 🐕 No need to bring your dog’s bed, we have plenty! The couch is all theirs too! I can also gate off rooms and/or crate your dog at any time if that is what you or your dog needs or prefers. 🐕 A safe environment for your dog is maintained here at all times and is of the utmost importance‼️: —dogs are never left unsupervised —my home is free of choking hazards —play with toys & with other dogs is always carefully monitored —I do not keep any items in the home that are dangerous for a dog to ingest (xylitol, poisonous plants, etc.)

About: I've been around pets all my life and developed a strong understanding of animal care from a young age. As an adult, I’ve gained hands-on experience with a range of pet personalities, from energetic working dogs and playful kittens, to nervous rescues with behavioral challenges. I helped socialize two shy, unhappy adult cats, one of whom took over a year to build trust. I’ve cared for Sonny, a reactive corgi mix, supporting his training, managing reactivity on walks, and recognizing stress signals. I’ve also bonded with Zelda, an anxious German Shepherd mix, helping her feel safe through patience and consistent care. I’ve managed feeding, walks, training, and emotional support for each pet with empathy and respect for their unique needs. I am a freelancer, so I work remotely and make my own schedule. This gives me a lot of flexibility for in-home visits and dog walks. I always carefully follow the instructions given by the pet parent. For working dog breeds, I make sure to give them long walks and plenty of play time. For more apprehensive animals, I will be mindful about making loud noises or sudden movement and give them time to warm up to me. I always adapt to the pets’ needs and send plenty of photo updates to the parents along the way.
About: I was a teacher for 4 years and therefore have a lot of patience. I have had dogs and cats in my house throughout my life and love them dearly. I have also trained puppies before. I have my own small business and am looking for something in the mornings to do. I am also getting married next year and would love some extra income to pay for the wedding I love playing with the dogs in the backyard, as well as taking them for walks if applicable with a harness and leash. I will be working M/W: 12pm- 8pm T/TH: 7am- 3pm Friday: 10am - 6pm If I’m not at work I’m with your pup! I will usually have a break throughout the day that allows me to come home or stop by for potty breaks, walks, feeding, and check ins as needed. My parents are also home so your pup will never be left alone for more than a couple minutes! Someone is usually always home. On weekends I am always around which allows me to spend the morning, afternoon and evening providing attentive care, exercise, playtime, and companionship. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and maintain their normal routine. At my home, pets have access to a fully fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time, exercise, and play. I provide regular walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention based on each pet's individual needs. I live very close to my campus which gives me access to get home as quickly as 2 minutes for just incase purposes
