About: I love all animals, but I have a special place in my heart for dogs! I grew up with a family dog and have cared for many of my friends’ and family members’ pets over the past 10 years. About: I am a 28 year old animal lover! I spoil every dog I encounter and believe dogs are better than some people. I treat all animals with love and respect, just as I treat my three current dogs. I have over 6 years of experience of working with animals, mostly in an animal shelter and grooming spa setting. About: Hello! My name is Samantha, and I’ve been surrounded by fur babies my entire life. Growing up, I had two miniature poodles, one of whom had special needs. He struggled with chronic allergies and a seizure disorder, and I helped care for him with daily medications and a special diet that gave him a long, happy life until he passed at 16 years old. Today, my family includes two standard poodles, two parrots, and a rabbit. Beyond that, I also care for the wildlife around my home. I feed 20–30 blue jays daily, I feed stray cats, and I’ve built enough trust with the wild rabbits in my yard that they now let me hand-feed them. Those quiet moments with animals bring me so much joy. In high school, I pursued my passion for animal care by completing the BOCES veterinary program, where I earned two Awards of Excellence.
