“Beatrice walks our Bernie daily - great communication with us - and we are new pet owners so texting her constantly! We have been working with her for over a month now and feel really lucky to have found her.”

About: I grew up with three dogs, worked as a pet sitter for a small business for a few years, picked up some training methods for both puppies and older dogs, and recently graduated with a bachelors of science in Wildlife biology! I work very part-time at the moment, and am happy to make my schedule work around you and your pets! Give me a time and a place and I’ll be there! My number one goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and safe as possible whilst you’re away. If that means spending extra time with them during my visits than I’m more than happy to oblige!

“Marissa helped out with some dog walking for me while I was away. She was excellent with my pup and flexible with my schedule and coordinated with my housesitter which was much appreciated. Recommended!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes since I was in 5th grade and had a rescue of my own. I have been a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs For The Blind since 2021 and have raised 3-4 puppies. I am an animal science enthusiast and love getting to know each animal. I have experience with dog training and socializing, medication administration, dog walking (any breed), animal handling and much more. I would love to work with you and your pets to make your Rover experience as smooth and good as possible. I am currently a college student and hope to become a dog trainer or something like that someday. I will have plenty of time to work with you and make your pet’s experience with great. I am willing to work with you on scheduling however needed. I am a very observant person and good at seeing how an animal is feeling and how to handle their preferences. I will keep your house and whatever I use clean and in as good of shape as I found it or better.

“Lou is great. He's flexible and is great with my big Malamute and Bernese. I work long shifts every once in a while and I have no doubt that they'll be fine while I'm at work when Lou comes over to take them for a walk.”

About: Since my first job pet-sitting dogs at 9, I've loved caring for and hanging out with animals. I've worked with animals of all ages, sizes, and species, including litters of husky puppies, guinea pigs, and full-sized pigs. The internship I'm currently working is part-time, so my schedule has a lot of flexibility. I am free Friday through Mondays as well as Tuesday-Thursday after 4pm. I'm available and happy to care for your pet in whatever capacity is most helpful, whether that be bathroom breaks, walking, or house-sitting. My only limitation is boarding, as my apartment is pet-free.

About: School psychologist during the school year, Rover sitter during the summer! I always grew up with dogs in my home, and I have a 6-year-old rescue myself. I have experience with dogs with significant behavioral difficulties (aggression, anxiety, reactivity to other dogs) as well as a year of agility training with my dog where I worked closely with a dog trainer. I also volunteer at the humane society of Chittenden county. I am currently on summer vacation, and am looking for some furry friends to keep me entertained over the summer! My schedule this summer is pretty open. I am available during the week and weekends, and can be flexible to meet your time needs. When caring for pets, safety and trust are my top priorities. I understand dogs boundaries and behavior and am happy to accommodate based on each animals specific needs. When caring for your pet/s, I respect your space and follow all instructions closely. I make sure your pet/s will stick to their normal routine to minimize stress while you’re away. I also keep a close eye on behavior or health changes and will alert you immediately if I notice anything out of the ordinary. Building trust with pets—and their people—is so important! I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, needs, and preferences so they feel safe and cared for, every step of the way.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born. Whether it was the family dog or one of my own, they've always been a part of my world. Numerous friends have asked me to dog sit for them, or even provide kitty playtime when they are out of town. I have experience with senior dogs and animals that require medication or special needs. Every pet is different, and I am committed to making sure they each receive the specific love and care they deserve. I currently work full time as an assistant manager of a local hotel, but will be providing pet care on my days off which are Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as after work which usually ends around 6pm. Safety is a high priority when it comes to our loved ones. When I am around dogs and cats, I am always reading body language and taking my cues from them. I believe in making sure every adventure we go on together is safe and controlled. I am attentive, professional, and flexible if the situation calls for it.

About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. Nothing makes me happier than a dog and nothing makes my dog happier than being with other dogs! I hope to ease the stress that can come from managing life and wanting the best for your pup by providing a safe space for them to have fun! I am currently a student at University and my schedule takes me away from the home for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

Caitlin B.
“When I first met Cate I learned she patient and kind women. Then I got to meet her dog. He is a sweet little boy who was rescued off the streets, I could tell he had been trained and was happy. My husband gladly watched him for a night so Cate could be away. Then a big anniversary came up for my husband and I, and our senior dog would not be able to come on our adventure because of arthritis. Up until this point she would only stay with our son. But Cate step in and took Elsa for the long weekend for us. Elsa and Beau had a great weekend even with her limited mobility. Cate and my son made accommodations (rugs) so Elsa could get around where Elsa wasn't confident on the floor. She was a happy when we picked her up. Elsa likes Cate and we like Cate. We sure appreciate the care she our old girl❤️”

Alexandra M.
“I'm delighted to recommend Alex for inclusion in Rover.com. She is an exceptional caregiver whose love for animals shines through in every interaction. Over the years, Alex has provided attentive and compassionate care for cats and dogs, including her own, her housemate's, and those of her friends. Whether the pet is a playful puppy, a shy senior cat, or a high-energy dog, Alex adapts with patience, empathy, and skill. She is comfortable with animals of all temperaments and sizes, from the most outgoing to the most skittish. Alex is committed to the well-being of the animals in her care. She follows instructions to the letter and goes above and beyond to ensure each pet feels safe and loved. She is experienced in administering oral medications, and we all know that can be especially tricky. Whether the pet wants to engage in active play, prefers quiet companionship, or needs space and time to warm up, Alex always puts the pet's needs first. In addition to her natural rapport with animals, Alex is a responsible and trustworthy person who communicates clearly and will keep the pet's person aware of any issues that might come up. She's an awesome human: reliable, kind, and respectful of both pets and their people.”

LeAnn G.
“LeAnn has been my go-to dog and cat sitter for some time now. I know that my two rambunctious dogs, Tank and Champ, are always going to be in safe and loving hands when I leave for a short-day trip or a long weekend trip. I love all the photos she sends me of Tank and Champ when she takes them on runs, walks, and hikes. I have truly never known someone who cares so much about animals, and who is so incredibly knowledgeable about the psychology of dogs. Her experience training dogs as a teenager has primed her well for understanding the needs of many dogs. She has also watched my cat, Oliver, who absolutely loves her. She is very communicative, trustworthy, friendly, and reliable. I can easily say that LeAnn's dog, Brisket, is the happiest dog I have known which shows a lot about her caretaking style. I will continue to recommend LeAnn to anyone who is looking for a great pet-sitter.”

Georgia R.
“Georgia was the best fur baby sitter anyone could ask for! She followed specific instructions exactly as asked and my dog let me know she was treated well because she was always happy to see Georgia. We are very happy that she got into the college of her choice but we were also very sad to lose our most trusted sitter.”

Eileen S.
“Eileen is like the most elite, A Team of knowledgeable and caring pet caregivers. I have known Eileen for decades and her understanding of dogs and cats is at an expert level - literally the friend I would ask to validate what I hear from my vet. She has owned and fostered so many animals over the years that she has seen it all and dealt with it all - and she genuinely loves every challenge and opportunity to make a pet's life better. I couldn't imagine a more qualified caregiver for a pet.”

Victoria D.
“Victoria is a great groomer, patient, and really listens to her clients. I have known her for many years. Very experienced with dogs of all sizes and ages.”
