“Cannot recommend Casper highly enough! They took great care of my April. They sent me pictures and detailed updates every day on April. Casper is friendly and responsible, and clearly adores animals.”
“Caroline did a great job checking in on my cat daily as requested. She understood and did exactly what I wanted her to do for my cat and then communicated everything to me. I was reassured that my cat was being cared for very well which meant a lot to me. 🙏🏼 Caroline”

“McKayla is so good to my pups and flexible with our schedules She always alerts me to issues and I love the funny videos she sends of my wacky pups Just is the BEST!!!”

About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.
“We haven’t been away in a while so our 4 cats are just very used to us. They were apprehensive at first while we were gone and a bit challenging. Michelle was great with the cats and stepped up to the challenge. She earned their trust and they warmed up to her by the end of the few days we were gone. Michelle was great with the cats and tending to their food and litter boxes. We hope Michelle can assist us again when another opportunity comes up.”

“So happy to have Rachel back to take care of our cats. She is always so easy to work with and we never have to worry about the cats while we’re away. They are in very good hands. She also collects mail, packages, and goes above and beyond just the drop in visit to the house which is much appreciated. Thanks again as always Rachel!!”

About: I grew up in a household full of animals and have been pet sitting for neighbors for as long as I have been old enough. I've had dogs, guinea pigs, a rabbit, chickens and numerous other small creatures who I have loved over the years. My profile picture is of my parent's golden doodle! I am currently a physical therapy student at Ithaca College who is spending the summer here in Ithaca and looking to dog walk/sit or pet sit! I am not planning on doing any boarding of animals because of my household's allergies but I am available for house sitting, drop-in visits and walking!
“Kirsten is amazing. Truly. She came through when a sitter dropped out for us and had multiple visits with our cats and dogs over a holiday weekend, sending kind and connected communications and loving on our animals as if they were her own. We will absolutely trust Kirsten with our precious fur babies again, and you should too.”

“This couldn’t have been easier! This was my first time using Rover, and Nicole was the best. Very professional ‘meet and greet’, and I received daily updates and pics. A huge weight off my shoulders knowing Jack was in great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Dina is amazing! From the meet and greet we knew that our dogs and cat would be in the best of hands. Knowing that Dina was taking care of our pets really allowed us to enjoy our time away and her detailed reports and photos were so welcome and reassuring. Our dogs were so relaxed and happy to see Dina and even our normally, standoffish cat enjoyed Dina's visits. We would highly recommend Dina to anyone that needs help with their pets!”

About: I have been lucky enough to take care of dogs and cats with various needs since 2010, and I have loved every single one. My experience includes long-term stays as well as shorter-term care including walks and check-ins. In both cases, I prioritize your pets comfort by adapting to the details of their routine, as well as your piece of mind by sending along regular pictures and updates. I would love to care for your babies! I work part-time as a barista, so I am available for pet sitting/walking most afternoons and evenings as well as 3-4 full days every week. As someone who grew up with many dogs and who is a current cat mother, I know how much trust is involved in leaving your baby in someone else's care. I am detail-oriented, consistent, and compassionate, and will work with you not only to meet your pets individual needs, but to celebrate them!
Ithaca dog parents share their Rover experiences
Joey spent over a month with my puppy, and was so wonderful in training and caring for him. They developed a great relationship because of the way Joey interacted with him. They were very communicative, flexible, responsible and trustworthy. Highly recommend to all pet owners and anyone needing an extra hand!

Kaylee was great! She was able to accommodate me on short notice, and helped me out with early morning dog walks during the worst of the winter weather. She was extremely reliable and always cheerful despite the very cold temperatures and snow. My dog was always excited to see her. Would definitely hire again!

Jennifer is an energetic and enthusiastic dog walker! She was super puntual, and it was a great relief to me to have her here while I am convalescing from an accident. She started on short notice, which really saved me. She took my doggie on nice long walks despite very cold temperatures, and was incredibly helpful all around. I absolutely recommend her for walking dogs and probably any kind of animal care, since she clearly loves animals. A really lovely woman. 5 stars 🌟

Rossy was a super great pet sitter! Patient with my dog, flexible, and attentive. She wrote extremely detailed notes and took lots of pictures that put my mind at ease about my dog's care. I especially loved that she was willing to meet my dog beforehand who is pretty skittish. With her patience my dog who is usually terrified of strangers went a long way toward building trust with her. She also was very flexible with a few times adjustments I had to make to my dog's schedule. I will definitely be reusing Rossy.

Linnea kept in extremely good touch with me and found my dog’s food despite the fact that I never told her where it was. I asked if she could come earlier than originally planned, and she did. She was also flexible in that the first walk was supposed to be long and the second short, but because of the heat (he refused to walk the first time she came), she switched and gave him the long walk in the evening after it cooled down.

Coleman is a true gem! Our poodle Coby is very attached to us and usually gets anxious when we leave—even if just one of us steps out. So we were absolutely amazed at how relaxed he was with Coleman. From the moment Coleman arrived, Coby liked him. Coleman clearly has a calm, kind energy that animals pick up on right away. Coby was so content during Coleman’s stay that he didn’t even wake up when we returned home—he stayed fast asleep on his bed! That has never happened before. Coleman is friendly and trustworthy. You'll enjoy having him in your home. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our beloved pup. Highly, highly recommend Coleman!
