I have two decades of experience caring for other’s pets, fostering cats, and walking dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have worked in a veterinary office and have experience giving insulin and pills, and reacting appropriately in emergency situations. I truly love animals and try to help them at any opportunity; I have rescued abandoned kittens, volunteered hundreds of hours at shelters, and also at various animal adoption events. I started walking the dogs in my neighborhood from a very young age to prove to my parents I could have my own dog! By the 6th grade I was very skilled at pack walks but now look forward to spending individual time with each dog on our shared walk. 🙂

Rachel was phenomenal. She cared for our dog and two cats for a full week, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone more personable, reliable, or genuinely kind. All three pets absolutely loved her. She didn’t just stop in — she engaged with them, played with them, and made sure each one felt comfortable and cared for. One of our cats needed daily medication, and Rachel worked closely with us to find the best delivery method. She even picked up the medication from our vet when it ran out. Beyond pet care, she fed our outdoor birds and watered our plants without us asking — such a thoughtful touch. Her schedule was perfect: a full hour (or more) every morning, another hour (or more) in the evening, plus an extra midday stop for a quick dog potty break. Rachel is amazing! We’ve used her in the past. We had an emergency situation this weekend. We didn’t plan on getting a pet sitter for our short trip, but quickly realized our cat’s feeder was out of food. With us giving her less than a day’s notice - Rachel was able to swing by our house, meet with a locksmith, and get our cat fed!! She is the best, highly recommend!
Rachel is extremely professional in her communication, punctuality, and interactions with our household. She has a conscientious can-do attitude and was flexible about meeting the various needs of our small and fearful rescue dog, our playful large breed, and our flock of backyard chickens.

Schedule
I would like to walk dogs in my nearby area and care for pets in a client’s home. I also have experience providing care to ‘exotic’ pets as well (birds, lizards, horses, saltwater fish, rabbits, and turtles so far)!

- I am happiest and most confident as a trusted animal caretaker when provided with detailed instructions and information about each unique pet (past and current medical concerns/issues, allergies, triggers, hiding spots, special needs etc.). I greatly prefer to conduct a meet and greet with you and your pet before you hire me, especially with overnight sitting.
