“Erica was wonderful. She came to check Mikey, walk with him, and play him for five days. I can tell when I returned home he was happy and well cared for. Thank you so much Erica. I could not have done what I did this week without your help.”

About: My name is Andy and I love to cat/dog sit and walk dogs. I grew up with cats and dogs and started taking care of neighbor’s animals while in high school. Hello, I am a parent, live in Indian Trail and work in Stallings M-F 8-5 with limited availability to walk dogs during this business hours. I love cats and dogs as members of my family and no longer have fur babies of my own. I understand the importance of regular interactions, especially petting, playing, talking and walking with pets.
“Jordan took great care of our two cats over a long weekend and was so lovely to work with. She was prompt, attentive, and never had any concerns leaving our cats in Jordan's care. We also appreciated all the great photos with the report cards! Jordan went above and beyond our expectations and we will be rebooking with her soon.”

“Molly is the best! She stopped by for a meet & greet which was much appreciated, and even made an extra stop after the sitting to securely drop my key off. The dogs clearly had a ton of fun with her, and my house was in better shape than it was when I left. Highly recommend booking Molly to watch after your pups!”

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. Growing up we always had dogs/cats/fish. I am very active and love going on walks/runs. I'd be happy to have your pup tag along. I am familiar with puppies all the way to hospice senior dogs. More recently, we had to let our 14.5 years old bulldog go due to kidney failure. I am experienced in routines, meds, special harnesses, & subcutaneous fluid IVs. I like to live an active lifestyle outside of my 8-5 job. While with your pups, we can go on numerous “snifaris” - play fetch or keep away in a fenced yard - or even just snuggle on thr couch & watch tv! I currently don't have any pets. I live in a 3-story townhome with a minimal yard with no fence - but plenty of common areas and leashed walking space.
About: I've taken care of others pets for many years and will love them and care for them as if they were my own! I have a four year old spoiled rotten mini dachshund named Winnie, a black cat named Sweetie and a leapard gecko! My neighborhood also has a private pond and walking trail so if your baby loves to go for walks then this is the place for them. I am currently a stay at home mom with three older children that are in school the majority of the day. I will be home to love and care for your pet and give them all the attention they deserve without distractions I have a fenced in backyard with a loving dog of my own to keep your pet company! I only take on 2 to 3 dogs at a time so I can accommodate any specific requests needed for your fur baby such as crating, specific dietary requests, ect. I also have lots of ramps and stairs for smaller dogs and a gate that blocks my staircase leading upstairs.

“Summer did a great job with our older dogs and was very attentive to their needs. We received notices when she checked in and checked out with our pets and she was even able to accommodate a last minute time change during the afternoon! Thank you, Summer!”

About: Hi! I'm Nicole and I was born and raised in the Charlotte area and went to Weddington for middle and high school. I left for school at NC State and NC Central to study nutrition and dietetics, and then moved to Nashville before returning to Charlotte (my favorite place to live actually!). I have been caring for pets of all sizes for years -- my parents have a 10 pounds Boston Terrier, and my fiance and I have a 100lb yellow lab and a 60 pound Aussie/Pomeranian. I also watch our neighbors chickens! I work remotely, so I am the main caretaker of all pets and I love it :) Let me know how I can help you! I work remotely according to my own schedule, which I get to create myself. I do love a good routine, but I am easily able to adjust as we go with the flow because of my job. Consistent schedules are fun and easy for me to fit into my weekly work routine, but since I work on the go, I'm able to adjust as you need! I am able to travel as needed to assist you with your pet needs. I work with high security information, so I am very aware of security measures and safety within the home. Let me know how I can assist you to ensure your comfortability, cleanliness, and consistency in pet care :)

About: Raised alongside a German Shepherd, a Chihuahua, and three stray kitties, I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. As a proud beagle mama, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy. I’m responsible, loving, and detail-oriented, and I will care for your pets like family. 🐾 I’m a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule and am available 4 days a week to care for your fur babies. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or cuddles, I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved. We all know how stressful it can be for pets when their owner is away and a stranger comes in to care for them. To make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible for your fur babies, I encourage you to share as much information as you can about their routine, habits, favorite walking routes, likes, dislikes, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable and secure.

About: I’m a lover of all critters—big and small! I’ve worked with everypup from puppies to elderly dogs and loved doing it. I’m confident with a leash of any type, reinforcing owner routines, and basic medication administration. Warning: I might have to spoil your dog with a treat or two 🦴 I’m currently a student at UNCC paying for my degree with what I love most—dogs! For me, I’m available midday most days of the week including weekends! My best hours would be between 11:00am to 4:00pm but let me know what you need! I’m happy to work with you and your pups. I’d care for your dog like my own! If you have any specific instructions for care—they’d be followed to a tee. I’d ensure a safe environment while also providing plenty of attention. Additionally, you’d be sure to receive several photo updates. Any of your pet’s care will be tailored to their needs.
About: For as long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed the company of animals over that of people. And after too many years in corporate America (tech recruiting) I’m looking to work with pets and enjoy life again. In recent years I have watched my cousins four cats, as well as friends puppies and dogs for trips and cared for my family’s labs throughout the years. My labradoodle is the best, but I am interested in creating a career where I can look after others pets. I would love to spend time with dogs and make owners feel less stress and anxiety or shame for being at work or off managing other priorities. I am in between jobs and living in Stallings / Matthews area. I find myself with a lot of extra down time, I have plenty of time to walk or check in on pets and give them the love and attention in their owner’s absence In my own home I have a fence and my doodle has access to toys, treats, water, dog beds and a healthy diet. In a clients home I would follow their instructions and care requests, I am comfortable managing pills, meals, and any other needs.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me. My most recent pup was very high-energy and required daily stress-reducing exercises, which gave me hands-on experience in keeping active dogs both happy and balanced. Before that, I cared for a blue pit with severe allergies who needed daily medication, so I’m also very comfortable supporting pets with special needs and extra routines. Through it all, I’ve learned that every dog deserves patience, consistency, and plenty of love. I treat every pet as if they were my own, making their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities. On a personal note, I’m currently saving for my wedding, which makes me extra grateful for every family who trusts me with their four-legged loved ones—it’s an honor I don’t take lightly. I work from home full time, which means I can give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. If I’m dog sitting or dog boarding at mine, you can feel confident knowing someone will always be home with your pup. I’m available for dog sitting and dog boarding any day of the week, and I can also provide drop-in visits after 4:00 p.m. on Fridays as well as all day on Saturdays and Sundays. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust to each pet’s needs, whether that’s extra walks, playtime, or cuddles. When pets are in my home, I make sure they feel like part of the family. They’ll have a safe, comfortable space, plenty of playtime, and lots of love and attention throughout the day since I work from home. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible—whether that’s mealtime, walks, or quiet time—so they feel secure and at ease. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect while keeping their pets on the same schedule they’re used to. I provide regular updates and photos so you know your furry family member is happy and well cared for at all times.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
