“Abriana was wonderful with Suki. She arrived on time, was very personable, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving Suki in her care. She uploaded photos, kept me updated, and handled everything perfectly. I’m so grateful and would definitely book with her again.”
“Our cat Robert has had very unpredictable behavior with new people since we moved to the area. Lia has been great about letting him take the lead and responding to his varying comfort level with her. She always communicates with us if she has questions or concerns, and with updates for each visit. Our other cat Jack has warmed up to her, and we think it's a matter of time with Robert.”

About: Almost 2 years of pet food store retail experience with training courses on pet care, basic pet training and deep knowledge of pet nutrition. Taken care of both my dogs since puppies (now 9, and 1 years old). I volunteer with several rescues and have helped set up fundraising/exposure events to help rescue pets find a home! I’m a full time student at Duquesne University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I’m relatively flexible and just work around my class schedule. I have plenty of experience with my own two dogs, both being rescues, and plenty more experience with customer pets that would come into the store. I also volunteer with rescues shelters walking, bathing, and taking them to the park.
“Alexandra was able to watch Marcus on very short notice and did a wonderful job. She was communicative and followed my care instructions. I knew Marcus was in good hands with her and would definitely recommend using her next time you need a sitter.”

“Disha was a loving and caring sitter, our little furball was very nice and comfortable with her, she finished all of our requests perfectly, and would recommend her to anyone in need of a wonderful sitter!”

“Ryan was an excellent find! Pleasant, dependable, and responsive, he did a fantastic job of taking care of my three cats while we were away for almost two weeks. Not only did he take care of my boys, he also brought in all the packages that we received while we were gone. He will be my first call when I need a pet care from here on out. Thanks Ryan!!”

About: I've cared for dogs since I was young and have handled dogs both large and small. I've cared for cats since 2019, I am newer to them technically, but I love how different they can be. I run my own business, so making my own hours allows me a lot of wiggle room on doing check-ins or rearranging my day to allow for walks. My home is a temple to good vibes and my happy lil buddies (Sprout and Tansy) get along with everyone they've met so far.
About: Hello! My name is Rachael, and I'm a graduate student who loves animals. My black cat, Zelda, has lived and traveled with me through six different countries and now lives with me here in Pittsburgh. I was raised in a household full of dog people and always lived with at least two dogs at any given time, so I have a lot of experience caring for and playing with dogs of various sizes and personalities. I also am experienced with caring for various other kinds of pets, from hedgehogs to lizards to fish to frogs. I'm a PhD student with a lot of flexibility in my schedule, so I typically schedule walks and drop-ins for the morning or evening. I also have no classes on Fridays and a lot of flexibility on weekends! I like to fit walks and visits into my daily routine in a way that helps me to get some extra steps in. When petsitting in a client's home, I always review all the instructions carefully. It's helpful for me to know as much as possible about the pet, such as any health or behavioral concerns I should be aware of, likes and dislikes, etc. I always respect a pet's boundaries and prioritize their safety and wellbeing. I also make sure to check in with the client regularly and alert them immediately of any concerns that need to be brought to their attention.
“Krista is a wonderful pet sitter! She went over & above in her care and attention to my kitty, and gave me regular updates for which I was very grateful. I highly recommend Krista;your pet will in good hands!”

“My regular sitters were on vacation and I needed someone sorta last minute to do bedtime drop-in visits for my pups while I was away, and Melissa was great! Always on time and sent pictures and updates on the dogs. Super easygoing and friendly! I would definitely use her services again if needed!”
“Responsible and took great care of our 3 cats during a week-long trip! Jacyln took lots of photos and followed our complicated instructions to a T. We would definitely book with her again:)”
“Allicia was wonderful!!! My pets instantly felt at ease with her. She was reliable, sent daily -really cute photos(she could be a pet photographer ?)!! and communicated throughout the service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Such a phenomenal job as always looking after our complicated cats with health issues and some garden plants and even being conscientious about tidying up the house! Thank you so much!”

“We had Lexy do drop ins to give medicine to our pet duck. She did such a great job- giving medicine to a sick duck is not an easy task! Lexy was great at communicating and made sure our girl got the care she needed. I’d absolutely recommend her to provide care (even to unusual pets)!”

About: I grew up with cats, dogs and fish. As an adult I’ve personally cared for 1 large dog (Rottweiler/Pitbull/Labrador) and 2 cats. The dog was a troubled rescue that I trained and then found a permanent home. I help with my mother's aging Cocker Spaniel and share in the care of my partner's 3 cats. I’m a scooter riding door dasher, short form video and plein air artist. I was a chef/baker for 15 years. My schedule is completely flexible. Please feel free to set my hours. I live with 3 cats at the moment, black, white and grey. It’s like dancing to a meowing grey scale. They are spoiled, but just enough.

“We just got back from a week-long road trip and honestly, the best part was not worrying about our dogs the entire time. Cailynn took care of Jasper and Gordon like they were her own. Two small dogs with two very different personalities is not always an easy ask, and she handled it effortlessly. We got regular photo updates that made the whole family smile, especially our girls, who checked for new pictures every morning. Everything was clean and in order when we got home, and both dogs were relaxed and clearly well cared for — no anxious behavior, no adjustment period, just happy pups. Communication was easy from the start, scheduling was flexible, and she followed our feeding and walk routine exactly as we left it. We'll absolutely be booking again for our next trip and recommend her to anyone in the area without hesitation.”

David was an incredible find! We have never done this before but he was patient and helped us figure out how we wanted our animals to be taken care of with an immense level of kindness and understanding. He was a great fit for us and took great care of our special needs dog. We cannot recommend him enough!

Lucas was excellent with all of our animals! Not only did he care for everyone expertly but he left the sink and pet dishes clean and orderly (not expected but very much appreciated!). He also handled medication for our elderly cat, which is a sigh of relief for when we go on weekend adventures and short trips (something we used to not be able to do before finding helpers such as Lucas :) ).

Tracie is incredibly reliable and I love that she sends lots of pics. Tracie can buy before our arranged sitting time to meet the dogs. I have two dogs- one of whom can be intimidating with her bark. Tracie was completely unfazed and my dog warmed to her immediately. Highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
