About: I’ve taken care of neighborhood dogs and cats since I was 12. In May of 2020, I got my first puppy and crate-trained and have taken care of her since. I love cats and dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities! *I will be leaving the Pittsburgh area on August 8th!* I am currently working for the city government, so I have a very reliable 9-5 schedule. I am largely free outside of that and can’t wait to spend time with your pets! I currently do not offer services in my home. In your home, I am happy to take care of your pet in any way they need!
“Maria and her husband came to our meet&greet/key handover and my dogs fell in love…. Visits went v well-on time/sent pix&texts… and doggies happy and content when I came back home”

About: I love to go on long walks/runs with pups as well as hang out with them afterwards. Whether that is petting/scratching/cuddling with them if they are people-pets or reading with and sitting near them if they prefer a little distance. I have experience pet-sitting for dogs, cats, chickens, fish, plants, and snakes, though I prefer homes with no birds if possible. I had a dog and a cat while growing up, and visit my family's dog, cat, and fish as frequently as possible! I work a typical day job, and if you and your pet live near my office I can stop by during the day for a short walk and potty break with a longer walk before and/or after the traditional work day as well.
About: I had a beagle, Milo, for 12 years. Although I was not around too much at the end for college, I helped out a lot with taking care of him throughout high school. I taught him tricks, took him on walks everyday, learned how to give him a bath, as well as keep him entertained. Lately, I’ve been focusing on interactive simulation puzzles for pets which is something that is shown to be a positive experience for them! I can attend to small and medium dogs, I have the patience and readiness to provide the best care for all dogs alike! Planning to move back to Pittsburgh, PA June 13th for school. This past spring, I had some downtime and would love to give back to the animals that give us so much! I’d be able to have a flexible schedule throughout the week and sometimes the weekends. I will be available until I leave! I live in a safe neighborhood near Minnehaha Pkwy and Chicago Ave. Safety is number one priority, weather I’m at home, on the streets, or at a park, I always ensure that the environment is fit for each dog I take care of.
“Great experience with Abigail. She was responsive, caring, respectful of my home and pets, and most importantly, my cats both liked her! My cats were in very capable hands and I'll definitely request care from her again!”

About: My partner Jack and I love caring for pets! Both of us have been caretakers for pets practically our whole lives, including senior pets and pets with special needs, in addition to small animals like rodents and birds. Whoever you need help with, we’re more than capable. We are so excited to get to know your pets. With us, your pets will get all the attention and exercise they need during your busy day. We are both very attentive to your pets needs and do our best to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. We know just how important your companion is to you, so safety is taken into consideration at all times. We keep dogs on leashes at all times when letting them go outside. I work as a barista at a coffee shop and Jack is an employee at Pitt. Together our schedules allow us to have at least 1 person home for most of the day. On rare occasions when neither of us are home, at most we are away for 3-4 hours. We have a large yard with a lead and 2 cats. Our house is moderately sized, with room for playing and relaxing. We are attentive to feeding schedules and potty breaks.
“Brynn and John took excellent care of Chloe. I most highly recommend them as dog sitters. Chloe was well taken care of, walked, and encouraged to eat. Brynn and John provided photos and notes at each visit, which I appreciated very much.”

“Matthew went above and beyond to care for our 3 cats. He followed instructions, but also brought in packages for us and cleaned the cats' dirty dishes which wasn't at all expected. I definitely recommend him!”

“Ashley was extremely responsive and took lots of notes and pictures while watching Yukichi. I last minute asked if she could do 2 drop ins a day for my cat since he was a little lonely, and she was able to accommodate. I felt so much better knowing Yukichi was in her care while I was away for an extended period. Highly, highly recommend!!!”

About: I have had dogs since I was very little. Taken care of small birds and I now live with two cats who are the world! I work remotely so I am available for quick pop ins during the day and very flexible after 5pm to go wherever needed. I also am available for weekend visits! I have a great yard available to me for any exercise that might be needed for dogs of all sizes. I also have an extensive amount of cat toys!
“Took very good care of my Suki. Checked on her food and water levels and played with her. Noticed when Suki started digging a hole near the fence and made sure to cover what Suki was trying to get to! Thank you so much!!”
About: I love dogs and grew up with them! Though I don't have the space for them now, I've been missing some puppy playtime! Both of my parents are vets as well, so I'm also pretty well versed in all things pet care! I do work full-time, but a lot of my job can be done from home depending on the amount of notice I have before discussing that with my boss. That being said my weekends are pretty open as well as the occasional monday. I typically work from home every other monday! I love all animals! Growing up I had 2 dogs and then foster failed 2 cats! Those 2 cats currently live with my parents, but I'm bringing them up here when I move into my own place. Both of my roommates also have cats!

“Lauren did a great job taking care of our cat while we were away. She was on time each day and communicated well, sending us pictures of our kitty every day.”

“Wallis was the best sitter for our two cats while we were on vacation! She took the time to meet our girls before caring for them and even got our shy cat to come out of our shell around her. We can tell that she cared about our cats like they were her own and will definitely have her watch our cats again in the future if able!”

“Divya did drop-in visits for our two dogs for two weeks and she did a great job. The dogs loved her and she sent a ton of pictures. We would absolutely work with her again.”

“Victoria is so great and genuinely cares about dogs. She went above and beyond what I asked her to do and I was really touched. My pups absolutely loved her. She also had some suggestions to help with issues both of my dogs are experiencing which I really appreciated! Thank you so much Victoria!”

Jacqueline was so fantastic watching our dog over a holiday weekend! She was so detailed summarizing each visit that it helped us relax and enjoy our time away without having to worry about our pup!! 10/10 recommend her for anything you may need for your pets, she’s amazing!!

This is the second time I have used Matthew for 3visits per day for my dog. Teddy was well taken care of. I received regular updates and photos. The sessions started off with Teddy setting off the security system. as Matthew arrived ! He handled it well. We have Matthew booked for several more times over the next few months. I highly recommend him
John & Brynn were lifesavers!!! Our pup had a medical issue pop up right before we went out of town, and they took care of her so well 🥹 it’s always tough being away from your pets, but I can’t recommend John & Brynn highly enough. They followed all of our care instructions and gave us peace of mind. Thanks again!!!

This is our second time having Ashely sit for us. She has been excellent both times. She is respectful of our home, listens to our asks, and is great with communication. She keeps us updated with pictures through the app which is greatly appreciated and both our dog and cat enjoy her company. Overall, a very good experience, and I highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
