About: My partner Jack and I love caring for pets! Both of us have been caretakers for pets practically our whole lives, including senior pets and pets with special needs, in addition to small animals like rodents and birds. Whoever you need help with, we’re more than capable. We are so excited to get to know your pets. With us, your pets will get all the attention and exercise they need during your busy day. We are both very attentive to your pets needs and do our best to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. We know just how important your companion is to you, so safety is taken into consideration at all times. We keep dogs on leashes at all times when letting them go outside. I work as a barista at a coffee shop and Jack is an employee at Pitt. Together our schedules allow us to have at least 1 person home for most of the day. On rare occasions when neither of us are home, at most we are away for 3-4 hours. We have a large yard with a lead and 2 cats. Our house is moderately sized, with room for playing and relaxing. We are attentive to feeding schedules and potty breaks.
About: I have cared for my own animals my whole life and have just recently said goodbye to my dog of 15 years. Though my family is not ready quite yet for another member, we miss having a dog in the house and would love to help care for yours! I love all animals, but have always had a special place in my heart for dogs. I work full time, but am fortunate enough to have the flexibility to work from home when needed so your furry pals will not go long stretches without love and attention! Our yard is partially fenced, however we have a lead for dogs outside, as well as the equipment and precautions to keep your pets safe if needed like crates, gates, etc. Our two cats are very friendly and good with dogs. They do spend most of their time on the second floor, so your pet would have free rein of our first floor!

About: I have always grown up with dogs. We usually had 3 large dogs at all times in my house. I have now lived on my own for 4 years taking care of my dog, Cash. He is the absolute joy of my life. I enjoy walking and being active. I can’t wait to meet your pet and shower them with love and exercise! I have a very flexible schedule where I work from home most days so I am more than able to make time for your pet! I have a fenced in yard and a dog myself who is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs. I also have 2 dog parks within a short walk from where I live. I also enjoy going for walks in my very safe neighborhood!
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from energetic puppies to calm senior pets who need a gentler pace. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and always prioritize safety, whether that’s sticking to your dog’s routine, handling leash walks confidently, or keeping a close eye on behavior. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, basic training reinforcement, crate routines, and giving lots of love and attention. What sets me apart is how seriously I take communication and trust: you’ll always get updates, photos, and full transparency so you feel completely at ease while you’re away. I’m currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh, which actually gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I have breaks throughout the day between classes, so I’m able to stop by for walks, drop-ins, or check-ins without rushing. Evenings are usually wide open for longer visits or house-sitting, and weekends are very flexible as well. My schedule is consistent week to week, so you can count on reliable care and clear communication about my availability. Since I provide care in my clients’ homes, my priority is always to maintain a safe, calm, and familiar environment for your pets. I follow your routines exactly; feeding schedules, walk routes, crate rules, playtime, and any house guidelines you prefer so your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’m very mindful of doors, gates, and leashes to prevent escapes, and I make sure your home stays tidy and respected throughout my stay. I communicate frequently with updates and photos so you always know how things are going, and I’m attentive to any changes in behavior or appetite. My goal is to give your pet reliable, loving care while giving you total peace of mind.
“Abby was awesome! This was the first time we used her and will definitely be booking again! Our three cats were very well taken care of and she made sure all our mail and packages were brought in.”

“Our second time hiring Danielle to watch our cat and excellent experience both times! Danielle is very communicative and great with our cat. Definitely recommend!”

About: I provide a dedicated, high-attention environment where your pet’s comfort and personality are my top priorities. I’ve grown up around dogs since I was young, which has given me a deep, natural understanding of their behavior and how to keep them feeling safe and settled. Because I work from home full-time, your dog will have constant companionship and the flexibility for unlimited potty breaks whenever they need them. Your pet will enjoy a rock-solid routine with three structured walks a day—they are welcome to join my friendly dog for some neighborhood socialization, or I can walk them individually upon request to give them my undivided attention. I am happy to accommodate any specific feeding, medical, or behavioral needs with total care, ensuring your best friend receives the focused, reliable stay they deserve. Since I work from home, my schedule is built around providing active, attentive care. Your dog will enjoy a consistent routine of three daily walks, with the option to join my own dog for socialization or go individually for 1-on-1 time. Because I’m home all day, I have plenty of time for indoor play, "anytime" potty breaks, and can even accommodate trail adventures or dog park trips for pups with extra energy. Having grown up with dogs since I was young, I’m happy to accommodate any specific needs to ensure your pet feels safe and energized while you're away. Whether I am hosting in my home or visiting yours, safety and trust are my top priorities. My house is kept meticulously clean, and I am always vigilant about spotting potential hazards to ensure the environment is fully pet-proofed and secure. If your dog stays with me, they’ll have the company of my very friendly Corgi, Jack. He is incredibly social and has a natural way of helping even the most timid or shy dogs feel comfortable and included. I treat every home with a high level of respect and care, ensuring your pet feels safe and your space stays spotless while you are away.
“Hadley was timely, followed my instructions and was very nice to my dogs. She even put up with their shenanigans when they saw their doggy friends and went crazy! She will be my go to dog walker when needed.”

“Leia is great! She took great care of my snuggly cat over thanksgiving break, had great communication and took cute pictures! Will be using her again if possible, and you should too!”

“Brynn and John took excellent care of Chloe. I most highly recommend them as dog sitters. Chloe was well taken care of, walked, and encouraged to eat. Brynn and John provided photos and notes at each visit, which I appreciated very much.”

“Tia is amazing. I like her and my dogs love her. She is patient and understanding of my dog with anxiety issues, and makes sure the other 2 get enough time to potty and play while I'm working long shifts. She's also incredibly thorough with her checkins and lets me know exactly how everyone is doing when im not home.”

“She's so sweet checking on our cats so often when there are late work hours and vacations! She's very communicative with us and makes sure to update us on how the cats are!”

“Kaitlin was great with Victor! I felt very comfortable with her going to my apartment to check in on him, and she made sure to play with his favorite toys. I will definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone else who is looking!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Oliver
Our animals were very well taken care of during our time away! So thankful to have found someone our pets enjoyed being around and someone who maintained things so well that when we got home late in the evening all we had to do was greet all our animals. The updates and photos were so helpful to help us see how happy our pets were even while we were gone! Thank you so much! Highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Abriana took the best care of our Samson. He can be very shy especially when away from us and we could tell through all the pictures of videos we got throughout the stay that he was comfortable with her. Abriana took great care of Samson and kept us updated all weekend.

Ally was great with her drop in visits and gave my dogs time outside as well as to eat. My dogs can be very dramatic when it’s raining and Ally went above and beyond to try to get them to go in the yard. I appreciate her help inbetween my other sitter working long shifts!

Jacqueline was amazing! She was very responsive from the first moment we reached out to her about booking, and we even had a meet and greet so our pup could get familiar with her in advance. Our pup has a lot of energy, and she always got creative with ways to give him mental stimulation and exercise — even if it was storming and he couldn’t go outside. She even offered to stay a little longer during visits to keep him company and make sure he was okay when he started having some tummy issues. I appreciate all the updates and photos she sent after each visit, and he always looked happy in every photo. I would highly recommend Jacqueline and would definitely book her again!

This is the second time I have used Matthew for 3visits per day for my dog. Teddy was well taken care of. I received regular updates and photos. The sessions started off with Teddy setting off the security system. as Matthew arrived ! He handled it well. We have Matthew booked for several more times over the next few months. I highly recommend him
This is our second time having Ashely sit for us. She has been excellent both times. She is respectful of our home, listens to our asks, and is great with communication. She keeps us updated with pictures through the app which is greatly appreciated and both our dog and cat enjoy her company. Overall, a very good experience, and I highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
