About: I am a young professional violinist based in Pittsburgh, and I have spent many breaks home from school dog-sitting around my neighborhood. Whether it‘s walks or giving pets, being around animals brings me so much joy and I would love to keep dog-sitting while I build my career as a musician. As a gigging musician, I have a flexible schedule based around performances, lessons, and auditions. My schedule can vary week to week, but I am almost always squeeze in walks and drop-ins according to my daily availability. About: I’ve had pets in my life as long as I have been alive. My family and friends have trusted me to care for their animals on several occasions. During the day, I am a teacher, so if I can be trusted with children, I can definitely be trusted with your animal-child! Over the summer I will be working full time as a camp counselor, so most of my services will have to take place in the afternoon and evenings! I will not be offering services out of my own home, due to the matter that the animals are not my own, therefore I do not feel comfortable bringing your furbabies over!

About: To truly relax and unwind as well as receive proper attention, diet, and exercise, a customized stay is what I would say I provide while sitting for your dog(s) and/or other pets. Not quite Cesar the whisperer, I would agree that I have a certain level of communication with dogs (specifically) that I still can’t fully describe in words. Being knowledgeable of the steel city, it's parks and areas that cater to pets, as well as maintaining constant awareness of your pet's needs, I can easily balance my time and services provided. This is my way of saying I'll pay full attention to your pet, not neglect them for screen time on the phone. Available for new and returning clients. I prefer active and energetic walks over lap time any day. Have a stubborn pup pulling ya? Let me take a stroll with me and my cowboy boots. I would appreciate some time with the owner in the home for any time over a nights stay, but am more than willing to mix up the ‘meet and greet’ options, provided by Rover’s integration of the virtual chat available. Your choice of course! I’m active. Usually out and about unless on duty inside the home, then Im able to shift into caregiver man, which at first was a challenge, now is a breeze. I care for all breeds, even special needs and cares, as well as elder pups. Oh, right, and puppies, too! That way you can rest assured that your dog is taken care of with special attention given to him/her, focused on those with high anxiety and former trauma/re-homed. I have no doubt that your schedule (routine) will be followed as instructed. i am easily a morning bird but also ok being night owl. Either way, I respect your time. Dogs are priority on my list above most humans these days, so in relation to overall safety, I am no perfectionist, but I also have sharp adaptability and quick thinking skills. When safety ,if ever, becomes compromised, the dogs always come first. Unless, like, a baby is being born on the street, and Im somehow the only guy there, your pup will be watched over properly. Not to smother them, just the right amount of time.

About: My partner Jack and I love caring for pets! Both of us have been caretakers for pets practically our whole lives, including senior pets and pets with special needs, in addition to small animals like rodents and birds. Whoever you need help with, we’re more than capable. We are so excited to get to know your pets. With us, your pets will get all the attention and exercise they need during your busy day. We are both very attentive to your pets needs and do our best to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. We know just how important your companion is to you, so safety is taken into consideration at all times. We keep dogs on leashes at all times when letting them go outside. I work as a barista at a coffee shop and Jack is an employee at Pitt. Together our schedules allow us to have at least 1 person home for most of the day. On rare occasions when neither of us are home, at most we are away for 3-4 hours. We have a large yard with a lead and 2 cats. Our house is moderately sized, with room for playing and relaxing. We are attentive to feeding schedules and potty breaks.

I also have a very hyper 4 year old Great Pyrenees/Anolian shepherd who absolutely loves everyone! I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and also dogs with disabilities. I have been in the medical field for over 20 years, so it feels like Christmas morning every day when I get back to my fur babies. About: I'm a Carnegie Mellon alumni and Floridian transplant who decided to stay and settle in the Burgh. I've volunteered with animals since I was 14, and up until a year ago, I was running my own rescue. I began pet sitting to help pay vet bills for the strays I took in. I have specialized largely in neonatal and senior care, including administering medicine, facilitating special diets, and offering personalized enrichment (including socialization for ferals). I also fed, rehabilitated, vaccinated, and spayed street dogs while living in Mexico. I plan my schedule around the animals in my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. When I have a foster dog, the highlight of my day is the hour long walk when I get home from work. Ultimately, I'm extremely flexible and patient because I've come to learn that pets & strays don't operate on our human schedules, and each day I can dedicate to helping them thrive is a blessing. While in a client's home, I'm careful to follow all provided instructions closely and always ask for clarification if I'm unsure. Also, I'm happy to assist with small home tasks like bringing in the mail or watering your plants as needed.
