Hi! My name is Gillian, and I am excited to spend time with your pets! I am currently available for drop-in, house-sitting, or boarding arrangements. I live in a full-sized house with an enclosed backyard in a quiet neighborhood near Shenley Park. I have space to accommodate both energetic pups and lazy bones! I have experience with a wide range of pets, from large breeds like German Shepherds to energetic, medium-sized pittie mixes and long, silky-haired Maine Coons. I look forward to learning about your animals and getting to know their personalities! I know it is important for your pet's comfort to maintain their usual routine. I am happy to follow your exercise, feeding, and oral medication schedules. From long walks to quiet days at home, I will be there for you and your pets. I am also available by phone and text to provide updates. I love taking pictures of my furry friends and sharing them with their owners! I work part-time remotely on a health research project. I currently have a domestic shorthair cat who is spayed, vaccinated, and experienced in meeting new animals. I also have the ability to keep my cat separate from guest pets as needed. I know how important it is for your pets to be safe and comfortable while you are away. In case of an emergency, I have access to 24/7 pet telemedicine and pet recovery services through HomeAgain.

Gillian welcomed my cat, Donna, into her home for two weeks. Even before Donna’s stay I had seen Gillian’s detail and care for her own cat when I previously shared an apartment with both of them. During Donna’s stay, Gillian cleared a bedroom for Donna in her home and filled it with blankets, opened the blinds for prime birdwatching, stocked toys, and ensured space for running around that was separate from her own cat since Donna had never been around other cats. Gillian spent hours in the room daily making sure Donna felt welcome and had playtime enrichment, dry food was filled and wet food provided each day, and litter box was cleaned daily. She also sent plenty of pictures and videos that I especially loved to see while I was missing my cat. I trusted Gillian to introduce Donna and her own cat which I was eager to try once Donna felt comfortable in the bedroom. Gillian did so gradually and under careful supervision and by the end of the two weeks, the two cats were coexisting in the entire three story house. I highly recommend Gillian to care for your pet and provide not just the fundamentals but her genuine love for animals that prioritizes their safety and comfort when you have to be away!

Schedule
I currently work part-time and remotely on a health science project with the University of Pittsburgh. I am available most of the day to be with your pet! I am happy to accommodate your feeding, exercise, and oral medication schedules to keep your pets comfortable.
