“Lara is our cat's favorite visitor 💕. We feel so grateful for her help. We are so reassured knowing our kiddo is in her capable hands. Phantom looks very happy and content in the pictures. We appreciate how Lara takes care of Phantom and our home. It was Christmas time and she had to check for packages and dredge through snow. Thank you to Lara for everything!! Don't hesitate to call upon her.”

About: I've always been an animal person and dogs gravitate toward me. I've been taking care of animals (many dogs, a good number of cats, and occasional other types of animals) since I was 8 years old, aside from breaks for school and apartments that didn't allow pets. Coworkers, friends, family, and neighbors have all counted on me for pet care/sitting, whether in their own homes or mine. I'm good with training and do daily sessions with my pup. Have also owned/taken care of numerous elderly dogs and cats, including end of life care. I'm patient and very affectionate with animals (both my own and guests) but firm with the house rules - they know I'm the one in charge. I work from home so am able to do all-day care and take consistent breaks for walks, potty, and playtime. I adapt my personal and professional lives around care for my pets. I have a fenced yard, a pool with a safety cover to protect from accidental falls, and a 1 year old Australian Shepherd who is super friendly with dogs of all ages. My Aussie is crate trained but occasionally gets to cuddle in the bed. I have an extra crate and can easily handle crating, including training.

About: Over the years, I have built a strong reputation as a trusted pet sitter for friends and neighbors, becoming the go-to person for reliable care whenever they travel. Whether managing daily feeding routines, providing energetic neighborhood walks, or simply offering companionship, I prioritize each dog's unique needs, personality, and safety above all else. Owners rely on me not only for my dependability and calm handling of diverse temperaments, but also for the peace of mind that comes from frequent, thoughtful photo and text updates. By maintaining their dogs' familiar comfort and structure while maintaining home security, I ensure pets remain happy and stress-free until their families return. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, which gives me plenty of free time every afternoon and evening to walk, feed, and spend quality time with your dogs. I am also fully available on weekends for longer walks, play sessions, or extended visits. You can rest easy knowing your pets will get dedicated, reliable attention and exercise right when they need it most after the workday or throughout the weekend. When caring for pets, my primary goal is to maintain their regular routine, comfort, and safety whether they are staying at my home or I am visiting yours. In your home, I keep your pets completely at ease in their familiar environment by strictly following your feeding schedule, taking them on neighborhood walks, engaging in active play, and providing plenty of affection to prevent anxiety, while also keeping your home secure. In my own home, I offer a safe, calm, pet-proofed space where they are treated like family and provided with constant supervision outside of my 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM workday. Regardless of where the care takes place, I make sure to send regular text and photo updates so you always have total peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, well-exercised, and loved.

“Sarah took great care of my cats and based on the pictures she shared, they loved her too! She was very attentive during each visit and communicative with me about what was going on. I felt comfortable leaving them for several days knowing she was checking up on them.”
“Ashley was absolutely incredible! From the very beginning, she was responsive, easy to work with, and even offered a meet-and-greet, which made the entire process seamless. Our Lou is currently on medication, and Ashley had no problem administering it, she even covered it in peanut butter to make sure he took it! Our baby looked so happy in every photo she sent, and we loved the report card feature as well. Ashley truly went above and beyond by making an extra trip to check on Lou after he had gotten sick earlier that day, which gave us such peace of mind. We also have a cat, and Ashley was more than happy to help by leaving treats out for her too. We left a list of “to-dos,” and she completed everything exactly as requested. She was extremely respectful of both us and our home. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and will absolutely be using Ashley for all of our future trips. Highly recommend!”

“Great care for my sick kitty cat! MK make a point to come over before I left so we could connect and she could meet Mari. MK made sure Mari took her medicine, which was very much appreciated.”

“This was our first time using Rover and we were very pleased with Melissa. We have 2 large 100 lb. Dogs and they seemed quite happy. We will definitely book with Melissa again.”

“Chris did a great job watching Rosy. He came for a revisit to meet her. He was interested as I gave directions- and took the time to get to know her. He made sure he understood her schedule and habits. He did not send a picture at each visit- but we were fine with that- if it’s important to you - you might need to ask for it. He was communicative and always responded to our texts. I would definitely have him back.”

“Savannah did a great job visiting with our cats and giving Spruce his medicine while we were away. They got lots of attention and we got plenty of photos and updates. I definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!”

“Shelby was amazing with my little maniacs. She made it a great first experience using Rover for both them & myself. Highly recommend & will be booking with her again! Thank you so much, Shelby, for taking such great care of my littles!”

“Riley was amazing! Our dog is old, has movement issues, and needs medication. She was so great with him! She gave wonderful updates, consistently, about our dog and cat. She sent pictures daily and was super responsive! She was absolutely great to work with, easy to communicate with, and made our vacation so relaxing because we knew our pets were taken care of so well, while we were away! Highly recommend her!”

About: I have taken care of two large breed dogs for over a year. I brought them into my home when they were puppies, and cared for them as they grew into adult dogs. For dog walking, I am able to walk one or two dogs at one time. When walking my own dogs, sometimes I would like to go for a little run just to make sure the pups get the exercise they need. For dog sitting, I like to let the pup(s) out for plenty of bathroom breaks. I will do everything I can to ensure that your pet is well-taken care of. I will be sure to provide a good amount of playtime for your pet to make sure he or she is having a good time! I'm currently working a shift evening schedule on Thursday-Saturday, so I have plenty of time during the traditional work week to look after your pets! I have a fenced yard and would love to spend time with your dog or cat! I would love to play games with your pet, take them on walks, and will be incredibly watchful over them to make sure they don't get into trouble.

William was absolutely everything I was looking for!! I was in Switzerland for 8 days and was very nervous leaving my pup but I was continuously updated and kept in the loop about visits and how Loki was doing. William was VERY flexible as it was only a few days before my trip that i requested such a lengthy date for William to check in on Loki. I was updated with pictures and was reassured by William on how Loki was eating/drinking and acting every day. Loki absolutely adored Billy from the second they met. I will 1000000% be using Billy in the future for any of my needs with Loki. I couldn’t recommend him enough!!! If you need anyone, Billy is definitely the way to go!

Our animals were very well taken care of during our time away! So thankful to have found someone our pets enjoyed being around and someone who maintained things so well that when we got home late in the evening all we had to do was greet all our animals. The updates and photos were so helpful to help us see how happy our pets were even while we were gone! Thank you so much! Highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Maryann was very good with my dog Genie during our meet & greet! The day of the actual visit she arrived on time and was very courteous of my instructions for Genie who is a shy dog but warmed up to her right away! Maryann sent me photos and provided me with details on how the visit went. I can tell Genie is in good hands and we will definitely be rebooking as needed!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
