Both of us have been caretakers for pets practically our whole lives, including senior pets and pets with special needs, in addition to small animals like rodents and birds. Then on Sunday we asked for 9 to 930 and she showed up at 20 after nine. I don’t like the thought of my cat wondering where his food is. He has all the kibble he needs so it wasn’t as if he were starving, but being on time is very important to me and it was when I was a sitter. I really do appreciate Markie’s care of our cat. It was just a little delayed. Again, though, five stars and a tip.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have loved animals my entire life. I have been a pet sitter for many friends and neighbors over the years and had my own canine companion for 10 years. She passed away in November of 2023. Animals deserve to be loved and treated like family. About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.

I do have 2 dogs so I understand the importance of routine, especially while their people are away since it may be a confusing time for them. I love exercise so I’m comfortable with dogs of varying energy levels. I work full time but I am available for most mornings/evenings during the week and most weekends. Please contact me to work out specific dates/times :) When I care for dogs, I usually let them run around the house or my fenced in back yard if I’m home. I also have a designated (large) room for them to hang out in if I’m leaving the house or in case they need some quiet time.
“It was our first time using Rover and Lindsey was an excellent companion and dog walker for our pit bull mix! Her report after each visit was thorough and usually included an extra anecdote about their time together and great pictures! Lindsey very concerned and asked for our advice when our dog wasn't eating much food when we initially left. We appreciated her initiative. When there was a big rain storm and they couldn't walk outside, Lindsey spent the time playing with our dog inside and gave him the attention and exercise that he needed. The majority of my pet care is done in your home as I try to keep your pet's time/environment/schedule with me as consistent as you have it. My schedule is quite flexible as I've recently decided to take a sabbatical from the veterinary office to recharge and reprioritize. I look forward to meeting you and to caring for your furbabies.
