“Our Harley, a very busy golden doodle, who is very anxious, had a wonderful staycation filled with walks , cuddles and pupcups! If only we had people like you closer to our home! We are from Canada and are 23 hours from home and needed a place for our doodle while at our sons wedding, she had a fabulous time!”

“Lucas did a great job watching our two dogs while we were away. Communication was easy and everything went smoothly. We’d definitely trust him to watch them again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable sitter”

About: As a veterinary technician, caring for animals is both my career and my passion. I’ve provided pet sitting for friends and family for many years, caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I’ll tailor my care to their individual needs. My veterinary background means I’m comfortable recognizing signs of illness, administering medications (if needed), and caring for senior pets or those with special medical needs. I also have extensive experience with exotic pets, including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other small animals, so you can feel confident your unique family members are in knowledgeable hands. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always strive to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while you’re away. One of the things that sets me apart is my ability to care for both traditional pets and exotic species. Whether you have a dog, cat, bird, rabbit, guinea pig, reptile, or another small companion animal, you can trust they’ll receive experienced, compassionate care. With life long experience of 10+ years. Pet care easily fits into my routine, and I make it a priority to give every pet the time and attention they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication administration, or simply keeping your pet company, I’m committed to maintaining their normal routine. I’ll also provide regular photo and video updates, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. As a veterinary technician, your pet’s health, safety, and comfort are always my top priorities. Before every stay, I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any medical or behavioral needs. I’m experienced administering medications, caring for senior and special-needs pets, and recognizing signs of illness or stress. I also have extensive experience caring for exotic pets, including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other small animals. As both a veterinary professional and an exotic pet owner, I understand that these pets require specialized knowledge and individualized care. My home is a clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment. My two friendly dogs have been raised around guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, farm animals, and cats from a young age. They are calm, respectful, and do not bother other animals, making my home a comfortable environment for pets who are a good fit for boarding. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll treat them like family. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, provide plenty of love and enrichment, and send regular photo and video updates so you always know how they’re doing.
“Tamara was an excellent sitter for my little dog! I will definitely book her in the future! I'm not sure my dog even wanted to come home. She was comfortable there from the get go! Tamara also went above and beyond when my dog grabbed a chicken bone thrown in the grass.”

“This was my first time using Rover after recently adopting my dog, Brick and it was such a great experience. Ellyn took great care of Brick during his 8-night stay while I was on vacation. She sent me daily updates with photos which made me feel at ease. When I picked Brick up, it was obvious he had been loved and well cared for during his stay. He came home happy and relaxed. I truly appreciated the attention and care Ellyn and her family gave him, and I never had to worry while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Ellyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Christine is a great sitter. My Winnie is happy at her place and has great interactions w other pets while she's there. I love the communication and photos she sends.”

“Maria is fantastic! She took such great care of my dog while I was away. My dog looked like she was on a vacation of her own while in Maria’s care. She truly understands dogs which is a huge comfort when you’re out of town.”

“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

“Bruce had a great time with Gemma and Gizmo! We received regular updates and adorable photos. He loved playing with all the toys and of course snuggling! We will definitely be back - thanks Gemma!”

“Emily did a great job at watching Luna while I was away for the week. My only advice would be to maybe send more pictures or updates but Luna seemed happy enough when I picked her up so I know that she had a nice time. Would recommend and use again!”

“Justin was great! He took great care of my dog, giving her multiple walks and play sessions, providing updates throughout her stay. His dog Watson was a great companion for her. Taye is absolutely wonderful with Loki. He is not only a great sitter, but also a wonderful friend and playmate for him. I truly appreciate the care, attention, and affection he gives Loki, and I always feel comfortable knowing Loki is safe and well cared for with him. I’m very grateful to have Taye looking after Loki.

Hello Rachelle and Anthony, Our puppy Prince absolutely loved his sitter. From the videos, we could clearly see he was safe, happy, and well cared for. Receiving that first video meant so much to us and I was really worried about his anxiety since my husband and I never left him alone for more than five hours due to work. We truly appreciate the care and attention you gave our Prince. Thank you so much, and we hope you’ll be available the next time we need a sitter.

Lauren (and Angela) ware an absolutely wonderful hosts to my spoiled dog while I was away for a week. She was so communicative with me - sending me super cute updates on the regular. It was also so clear that her home loves dogs and are committed to ensuring their comfort. She administered my pup's medicine and followed my instructions to a tee. I truly couldn't be more pleased to have entrusted my girl to their home and care! A+ Rover experience!

Maryann was awesome from beginning to end. She invited us to a meet n greet prior to our dog Brody’s stay with her and he immediately made himself at home with her nice fenced in back yard, plethora of dog toys and welcoming fur family. On the day I dropped him off he started whining with excitement when we turned onto her street. She sent us daily pics and videos of Brody playing with other daycare dogs and having a blast. We think he might have actually even been sad to leave when we picked him up. Needless to say, we’d highly recommend Maryann and are grateful to have found her.

Kalyn did an amazing job caring for Canela! She kept us at ease by sharing photos upon request and made sure Canela was well fed (Kalyn kindly cooked Canela's raw meat mix to medium-well daily), well rested (allowed on furniture, Canela loves sleeping on the couch), and free to roam the house comfortably (Canela found her favorite window in the house while she interned for the neighborhood watch). Kayln was also VERY accommodating for when our returning flight was delayed 3 days. We couldn’t have asked for better care. Thank you!

Morgan was an excellent pet sitter for our brittany spaniel pups. She was very attentive to their needs, and provided frequent updates on their status with pictures and texts. I would highly recommend Morgan to anyone searching for a reliable, caring, responsible, loving sitter for your pups. I look forward to booking additional dates with Morgan in the future!
Amy took care of Rocky over the holidays and she was amazing! Amy sent pictures and updates regularly. I have never had a non-family member care for Rocky so I was a bit nervous. Amy understood my situation and made the process comforting. I cannot express my gratitude for her loving care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
