“Lisa made our mini dachshund feel right at home for his first time away from our family! He loved playing with Lisa's dog and felt comfortable enough with Lisa to snuggle with her at night. Highly recommend!”

“We cannot express how happy we are with Sebastian O. and how well he treated our Lucy! We had constant updates and reassurances that she was safe, happy, and doing well. Lucy will definitely be visiting Sebastian and his wife again.”

“Elizabeth was fantastic! If I could give her a higher rating, I would. Her and her family treated my dog as if he was their own. She has a beautiful, fenced in back yard that allowed my dog to be outdoors without any worries! I know she was very attentive to him at all times, kept us updated everyday and sent several pictures which made my kids very happy! My pup does not like kennels and this was an alternative and it turned out to be the greatest experience for my dog and our family! Would definitely love for her to care for my dog anytime!! Thank you Elizabeth and your family!!”

“Tamara was an excellent sitter for my little dog! I will definitely book her in the future! I'm not sure my dog even wanted to come home. She was comfortable there from the get go! Tamara also went above and beyond when my dog grabbed a chicken bone thrown in the grass.”

“I used Skyler’s services for 5 days while I was traveling. My dog, a 1 year old Husky puppy, is still being trained. Skyler was amazing with her, she listened to techniques that I’ve been using with Poppy and applied them. I would use Skyler’s services again and would recommend her to anyone who wants their pup to be safe and happy.”

About: My partner Jack and I love caring for pets! Both of us have been caretakers for pets practically our whole lives, including senior pets and pets with special needs, in addition to small animals like rodents and birds. Whoever you need help with, we’re more than capable. We are so excited to get to know your pets. With us, your pets will get all the attention and exercise they need during your busy day. We are both very attentive to your pets needs and do our best to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. We know just how important your companion is to you, so safety is taken into consideration at all times. We keep dogs on leashes at all times when letting them go outside. I work as a barista at a coffee shop and Jack is an employee at Pitt. Together our schedules allow us to have at least 1 person home for most of the day. On rare occasions when neither of us are home, at most we are away for 3-4 hours. We have a large yard with a lead and 2 cats. Our house is moderately sized, with room for playing and relaxing. We are attentive to feeding schedules and potty breaks.
“Kassandra did an excellent job watching my very quirky and energetic corgi. She sent detailed, daily updates, along with photos which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Kassandra!”

“Elizabeth and her family were wonderful, caring and friendly sitters. I could not have asked for a better situation for my dog. Max. It was a wonderful experience for Max and I will definitely schedule with her again.”

About: Hello! My name is Skylar and I am a recent college grad who has been in Pittsburgh about 2 years. I have over 70 5-star ratings on Wag, which is a similar app to Rover. Back home in Ohio I have a sweet Mini Schnauzer who is 11 years old. He is blind and diabetic, so I have lots of experience taking care of older pups with medical needs. I also have a 7 year old Australian Shepard who has LOTS of energy and is always bouncing off the walls. She loves to play and herd her brother. Two new additions to the fam are 2 year old bernadoodles-lots of dog in the house! I miss my sweet pups, which is why I love to use Wag and Rover :) I absolutely adore any dog I come across and would love to get to know you and your doggo! I have a bit of an odd schedule where over the winter I work M-F completely remote and in the spring-fall I work Th-M half remote and half in person at North Park with Tuesday and Wednesday as my “weekends.” There is some variability to this schedule, but for the most part it is as described. I live with my boyfriend in a three level townhouse that has a large yard and is on a safe, quiet street. When fury friends visit us they are allowed on the furniture and we make sure to take them out on walks at least 4 times a day. Typically this looks like right when we wake up, during lunch, after dinner, and right before bed. When I stay at a pup’s house, I make sure to leave it cleaner than I found it!
“First time I used Rover and Amber was fantastic! I really appreciated her sending me updates. My pup has separation anxiety and she did so much to keep him comfortable.”

“We could not have been more happy with the care and attention that Amy provided our 8-week old puppy, Riley! I received daily updates and pictures throughout Riley's week long stay. Amy continued Riley's potty training while we were away, as well as followed any routine we were implementing with our puppy. Amy put our minds at ease, knowing that our Riley was in the best hands! I can honestly say, without hesitation, that we will be using Amy again!!”

“Picked up and dropped off my doggo which was so helpful with my trip otherwise having inconvenient times. Plenty of updates. My dog came back pooped which is always a good sign of a fun weekend for her!”

“Lucia was able to accommodate my last minute boarding request for my puppy. She's communicative, flexible, and provided a very welcoming home. I received multiple photos a day and even came back to a groomed dog. I would recommend Lucia!”

“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

About: Hi there! I work from home my two available days a week, which means your dog gets 24/7 companionship, frequent backyard potty breaks, and mid-day snuggles on the couch. I grew up with dogs, and I have experience with everything from puppies to seniors. I am experienced with medication administration, limited mobility, and managing separation anxiety. I also have experience with reactive and dog-selective dogs and keeping them safe and happy. I live right by Bird Park and in a very walkable neighborhood, and can accommodate 2-3 walks a day - but if your dog is happier cuddling/sleeping inside, that’s okay too! I’d like to match your dogs normal routine as much as possible and make sure they get as much play and rest time as they need. Your dog will be safe and happy with me! I currently work from home two days a week (Monday and Friday) so I will be available 24/7 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. I request that you give me your dogs normal schedule, and I will follow it exactly to make sure that they are comfortable and happy. I am available after 3pm Tuesdays through Thursdays. Your dog will be the only pet in my home, and my top priority! I require a meet and greet before boarding to ensure we are the right fit. I will keep you updated with daily pics of your pup. I have a large crate in case your dog is crate-trained, but as I work from home they will just be hanging with me on the couch or dog bed - wherever they are more comfortable. My home is clean and free from any hazards to your pup, and I will follow your exact household rules regarding feeding and anything else. My previous dog who has now crossed the rainbow bridge was reactive and dog-selective, so I am very experienced on keeping your dog safe while on walks and reading their body language. They will never be off-leash in an un-fenced area, and I will happily avoid any triggers that you make me aware of - just let me know!
“Josh was incredibly easy to work with, communicative while I was out giving me many updates on my dog, and formed a bond with him really quickly. He took him on walks and outings and really tried to calm down my incredibly anxious boy. Would love to have him watch Finn again anytime - thank you so much!”

“Priyanka, We just wanted to drop you a big thank you for looking after Barfi! He had such a blast at your place. Those pictures you sent were awesome, and the updates kept us in the loop. It really made our trip worry-free, knowing he was in good hands with you. Barfi clearly had a great time, and we appreciate you making him feel at home. We'd absolutely recommend you to anyone needing a dog sitter. Thanks a bunch for being awesome with our fur baby! Take care!”

Mount Lebanon pet parents share their Rover experiences
Amber was amazing with my dogs. She sent updates and pictures everyday. This was the first time that my dogs were ever out of my care and they were not the best guys to deal with but Amber did understand they were upset. I would definitely recommend Amber as she made this experience a very positive one.

Cindy is absolutely amazing! She sends daily updates and multiple pictures, which put our minds at ease. We hate to leave our fur babies, but when we do, we can't think of a better place for our dogs. They get multiple walks per day and lots of cuddle time. The only problem is that I don't think they want to leave Cindy's because they have so much fun!

Raeann was our first boarding experience using Rover and we will 1000% board with her again. She was very communicative with us during our vacation and sent many pictures! Our dog was very comfortable with her and absolutely loved sitting outside on her deck. I was most appreciative of the fact that makes sure she doesn’t overlap boarding days with other clients in the event something would delay our travel to get back home in time.

She was very responsible, kind, and attentive with my dogs. Everything was clean and well taken care of, and I felt comfortable knowing they were in good hands. She communicated well, followed instructions carefully, and clearly cares about animals. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter

Michael watched my 11mo old kitten for 3 days while I was out of state and I truly feel she was well taken care of. He's responsive, up front about what you should provide for your pet for drop-off and overall it was super simple and stress-free. I'd absolutely trust him again if I need a sitter for Raven in the future.

Sebastian did such an amazing job looking after our Nellie! I could tell from the photos and updates he provided that Nellie was happy and felt comfortable in their home. She is a more timid pup, and takes time to warm up to strangers typically— when I picked her up, she kept running back to them to give them kisses, so I know she absolutely loved her time there. They let her sleep in bed with them, and that is his her favorite thing in the world. Sebastian will be my go-to sitter from now on!
