“Picked up and dropped off my doggo which was so helpful with my trip otherwise having inconvenient times. Plenty of updates. My dog came back pooped which is always a good sign of a fun weekend for her!”

“Beth and her family deserve far more than 5 stars! The care and attention they gave our pups were truly exceptional. From the moment we met them, it was clear that our dogs would be in loving, capable hands. Beth and her family not only showered our dogs with affection, but also took them on daily walks and made sure they felt right at home. This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone outside of immediate family, so we were understandably a bit nervous. But Beth quickly put our minds at ease with her daily updates, sharing photos, sweet stories and little moments that made us smile and laugh from afar. I’m so grateful to have found Beth, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving pet sitter. She truly went above and beyond!”

“Highly recommend. Our boy was well taken care of with daily updates and pictures. He loved playing with her dogs and actually came home pretty tired from all the activity. Will definitely be using Melissa again.”

“We would like to give Ali 10 stars! She was the best possible caregiver for our nervous goofy dog. She sent dear photos and videos during our trip, and it was so sweet to hear how she spoke to Lucky. On top of all of the expert care, she was extremely gracious and flexible when I made a mistake with the booking dates. We feel so fortunate to have found Ali.”

“Madyson was excellent with my dog Copper! His stay with her and Sparky involved lots of play time, cuddles, and great communication with us! Madyson is very attentive with any needs Copper has. I would highly recommend her!”

“Sandra was fantastic! We were very nervous about leaving our puppy with a sitter for the first time. Sandra spent an hour with me at the meet and greet, asked lots of questions about Argo and answered all my questions. She sent us lots of photos and updates about how he was doing. We would definitely recommend Sandra to anyone!”

“Elizabeth was wonderful!!! I left my dog for the first time ever and she made it so easy for me! Excellent communication and excellent care! My fur baby will definitely be back there!”

“Tyler was great with my dog Riley! She immediately took to his house and yard, as well as Tyler himself. He was flexible in terms of scheduling a meet-and-greet that was kinda last minute and was professional. He also provided plenty of photo updates of Riley throughout the stay. Overall, I would definitely use Tyler again for dog sitting.”

“Coralee takes care of our two dogs during the holidays and treats them like part of the family! We are so grateful to have such a kind, reliable caretaker for our fur babies while we are out of town”

“Lindsay and her family were so sweet and accommodating. They went out of their way to learn about my puppy and sent updates. They were there when I needed them. Thank you!”

“Joni did a wonderful job. She watched our cat Tisha for 8 days. I know she was great because when Tisha got home she was happy and healthy. Thank you Joni. I definitely recommend her and will be using her services again!!”

“Pickles had an amazing time with Maura! We got the cutest pictures everyday, it was clear that Pickles was loved, cared for and had so much fun! We already have booked with Maura again!”

“Michael was really great to work with. He is super attentive and kind and you can tell he truly cares for all the puppers. We boarded our two dogs and weren’t sure how our grouchy old girl would do, but she fit in quite well and had a great time. The video updates were really great and both doggies did great for their time away!”

“Super communicative and sent lots of photos and videos! Our dog had such a good time at Tia’s place playing in her backyard and getting lots of snuggles. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Emily and Patrick were very kind and flexible with us when my boyfriend and I needed a dog sitter for a wedding. We were late picking her up and they were very understanding. Our dog and Eli must have had a blast together, because slept the entire next day! We will be using them again in the future!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glassport
As much as I would like to keep Janet a secret, I can't. Your pet also deserves to be pampered by Janet and you deserve a peace of mind I had the entire 5 days I was out of town. Even a neurotic dog mom like me felt reassured, when I saw the immediate rapport Janet established with Boris. You can tell right away that Janet genuinely loves animals and is a caring and empathetic person. Her home is serene and surrounded by greenery. It's leaving your fur baby at a nature camp. Boris can't wait until Janet has an opening in her schedule.

Ashley was phenomenal! Milo hasn’t been boarded for nearly 2 years so this was somewhat of a new experience for him. He was quite reserved and shy but Ashley welcomed him and gave him constant attention to ensure that he felt comfortable and safe. She gave Milo lots of love and he soon warmed up to the experience. Thank you again Ashley for everything!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
