Hello there, I am a certified Veterinary technician, I have been in wildlife and small animal care for the past 14 years while dog sitting on the side. I am new to the Pittsburgh area and looking to find new clients! My previous experience includes zookeeping and wildlife rehabilitation in the Boston area for 7 years and then working for a professional dog sitting/hiking company in Medford MA for another 5 years. I moved to Pittsburgh to get my CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician license) in 2024, and now work at a lovely little small animal clinic. I am well versed in animals with complex medication/therapy needs, such as insulin administration and exacting medication timing requirements. I am also very experienced with exotics, particularly birds.

I have been dog/cat/house sitting in clients homes for 14 years and am experienced with maintaining specific pet routines and training schedules. I have a leave no trace policy when it comes to other peoples homes. I am also very happy to water plants and manage aquarium care as needed. I also do not drink or party, I just need a sofa and a good book. Because I work with animals and want to keep everyone protected I will require that all animals I watch be on a flea preventative and be rabies vaccinated.

We can't say enough great things about Brittany. She's very caring,friendly,knowledgeable about pets (she's a Vet Tech!), thorough,and really communicative. Giving us numerous updates while we were away. She's forward thinking, asking us questions that we hadn't given thought to. Anyone using her is lucky to have watch their pets!
I am VERY particular about who watches my pets while I am away. I have known Brittany for many years now and she is the BEST OF THE BEST! I am prone to worrying when I am away, but never do when my pets are with Brittany. She is fantastic with my large (90 pounds) reactive dog and was a dream when I had a senior dog with many medical needs. She cares for animals like their are her own and is very trustworthy. She is also quick to reply to texts, which I always appreciate. 10/10 for Brittany!

Schedule
I work full time Monday-Friday so I am primarily seeking weekend and holiday pet-sitting arrangements. I am also happy to work in drop in cat care around this type of schedule as well.

- I have a lot of experience with pets that have highly specific routines and training needs to upkeep. I am happy to work on clicker/reinforcement routines, as well as basic crate training assistance.
