About: Hello! My name is Rachael, and I'm a graduate student who loves animals. My black cat, Zelda, has lived and traveled with me through six different countries and now lives with me here in Pittsburgh. I was raised in a household full of dog people and always lived with at least two dogs at any given time, so I have a lot of experience caring for and playing with dogs of various sizes and personalities. I also am experienced with caring for various other kinds of pets, from hedgehogs to lizards to fish to frogs. I'm a PhD student with a lot of flexibility in my schedule, so I typically schedule walks and drop-ins for the morning or evening. I also have no classes on Fridays and a lot of flexibility on weekends! I like to fit walks and visits into my daily routine in a way that helps me to get some extra steps in. When petsitting in a client's home, I always review all the instructions carefully. It's helpful for me to know as much as possible about the pet, such as any health or behavioral concerns I should be aware of, likes and dislikes, etc. I always respect a pet's boundaries and prioritize their safety and wellbeing. I also make sure to check in with the client regularly and alert them immediately of any concerns that need to be brought to their attention.

About: I have taken care of pets since I was 12. From pet sitting for families with cats and/or dogs, walking dogs for many summers, attending to animals when I babysat, and taking care of my own dog, Kurt, I have done it all! I take pride in taking care of animals, and love to spend time with them. Whether that is playing with them, walking them, or just caring for their basic needs. About: When I was 13 years old I house sat for my first dog ever- Harley. Ever since Harley I have been dog sitting, and walking for over 10 years. When I bought my own home 5 years ago we began boarding dogs because as a pet owner I know how much better I feel when my animals are with someone I can trust. I promise to be that person for you! I am a Registered Nurse by trade, however, I do work from home so those pups of yours will be loved all day long. I am comfortable with puppies, energetic dogs, senior dogs, medication that needs given, dogs who have medical issues and much more. Please feel free to reach out! I would love to give your dog a home away from home ❤️ I work from home so I am home all day with them. If I do go out it is no more than 4 hours at a time and if I am boarding/pet sitting I would not leave for longer than 4 hours a day. I have 3 of my own dogs. 2 are less than 10lbs and the other one absolutely LOVES puppies/new energetic friends. We have a fenced in yard, a nice dog-friendly neighborhood to walk animals in, lots of couch space to snuggle up with every one, and lots and lots of play time!

Sarah was wonderful! She was incredibly responsive through the Rover app and was so flexible throughout the whole process. She even took the time to come meet my pups beforehand, really listened to everything we told her about their routines and needs, and spent quality time getting to know them. One thing that really stood out was how thoughtful she was during the visit. My dogs don’t like going out in the rain, so instead of cutting the visit short, she stayed inside and played with them to make sure they still got plenty of attention and enrichment. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
