Depending on the person and place I can do a sweep through the house to make sure there were no accidents from your pet as well. While in my care, I am very aware of my surrounding and typically keep an extra leash, treats, and doggie bag on me as well. I work remotely with a very flexible schedule, which means pet care is never an afterthought. It's woven into my whole day. I'm home the majority of the week, and on the rare occasion I do step out, I'm never gone for more than 3 hours. Your pet will always have someone present, attentive, and ready to play, cuddle, or just keep them company. No long stretches alone, ever. My home is set up thoughtfully for both dogs and cats. The layout is split-level, with cats having full run of the upstairs and dogs enjoying the main floor plus access to the fully fenced backyard — plenty of space to play, explore, and burn energy safely. The two never have to share space unless everyone is comfortable. I do have a resident calico and a German Shorthaired Pointer, both of whom are friendly and social, so I do ask that visiting pets are comfortable around other animals of their kind. I always offer a free meet-and-greet before booking so we can make sure everyone — pets and people — feels good about the stay before any commitment is made. My home is puppy-proofed and high-energy-dog-ready, and I have 24/7 SimpliSafe security monitoring for added peace of mind. You can expect regular photos and updates throughout every stay because you shouldn't have to wonder how your pet is doing. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions exactly. Your routines, your rules — meal times, crate preferences, favorite toys, walking routes — I stick to all of it. Dogs of all energy levels are welcome as I have a large yard, great for playtime, and plenty of space to accommodate others. Plenty of experience with medicines and special needs animals, too. Routine is key with time management to make sure there’s adequate time for play and adventure. Every morning starts with a walk, and I typically take my own pet to the park twice a day. My home has an enclosed backyard with ample space to run around. When house/petsitting, I’ll always ensure pets are on a leash before exiting to run errands or go for a walk.

About: I am an experienced petsitter who has worked in a professional, insured capacity (for Heavy Petting Petsitting) for over a decade. Updated rates reflect current gas prices and road closures. Thank you for understanding! I’m a college professor who has wide availability during the summer months. During the fall, my daytime schedule may be more restricted, but I am usually at home at least a couple of days of the week! I have a household of a dog (cattle dog mix) and two kitties who are all very animal friendly! However, if your fur baby is not a fan of other animals, I am happy to stay at your home and follow your preferences as far as house conduct goes.
