“Maple loved her stay! She and Luna became best friends, and I know they tired each other out! Lucas did a great job sending pics every day and letting me know how things were going. Would definitely book again!”

“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

“Coralee and her family were incredible. I got videos and/or photos everyday of our little lady. Our dog LOVED it at Coralee’s. Typically after boarding she gets in the car and starts whining and crying, but this time she immediately laid down and went to sleep. She was so exhausted from all the fun! I’m not sure she even wanted to go home with us! I would HIGHLY recommend Coralee to anyone. We’ve already got 2 more bookings with her for the summer, and I’m sure our pup is looking forward to playing with her friends again.”

“Sharon was the perfect sitter for our mini labradoodle Sydney. She took excellent care of Sydney and kept us updated with texts, pics and videos throughout our trip. We felt that Sydney was safe and loved while we were away and could relax and enjoy our trip. We will definitely be contacting Sharon to see if she is available next time we need a sitter!”

“Once again, success! My dog Teddy much enjoyed his 2nd stay with Ellyn & family. We very much appreciate her conscientiousness & flexibility, as well as ease of communication. Most of all knowing Teddy is being cared for in a loving family environment while I’m away is the best thing ever!”

“Breanna was awesome! She was very accommodating and asked great questions to make sure everything was accounted for. Ruby seemed very happy and comfortable with her from the start. Thank you for making the weekend so easy!”

“Ali was a perfect fit for Lizzy! We couldn't have been happier. We went away for a week, without access to Wi-Fi. Ali met with us beforehand, and we instantly felt comfortable to leave Lizzy in her care. She was so gentle, Lizzy relaxed and felt right at home. Thank you so much! Highly recommend and would definitely use Ali again.”

“Victoria did a wonderful job making Freya feel safe and happy on her first night away from our house. She went out of her way to always let us know how Freya was doing. Freya came home happy and tired from playing, we will be back!”

We have always left our dogs in kennels when we left for vacation, but wanted to try using a dog sitter because Bear always came home exhausted and a little stressed. Luckily, we found Tyler! He was very welcoming and obviously loves dogs. After our meet a week before our vacation , I and my family felt completely at ease leaving Bear with Tyler. During our trip, Tyler sent regular updates and pictures showing how great Bear was doing. At no time were we worried or concerned. We would absolutely recommend Tyler to anyone looking to have their dog in a caring, relaxed, and active environment. We will absolutely be using Tyler in the future! Bear loved hanging with him!”

“Rose was excellent to work with. She was extremely flexible and attentive as we dealt with a fluid trip out of town due to the loss of a family member. She dealt with my diabetic cat’s medication smoothly and took such wondering care of my two cats while I was away. All instructions on feeding and cleaning were followed excellently and when I returned a day early, Rose was incredibly accommodating. We are incredibly grateful to have worked with Rose during a difficult time in our lives, she put our mind at ease with our cats while we were gone - we hope to work with her again!”

“Paulette was absolutely wonderful, when she volunteered to come for a meet and greet in advance I immediately knew she is a professional with kitties! She kept me updated throughout the entirety of my trip and from the photos I saw it was obvious that my cat loved her visits and was so comfortable with her. Paulette is trustworthy and communicative and I will 100% use her next time! Highly recommend”

“Lucas took wonderful care of our cat! Lucas sent updates to let us know how our cat was doing. It was our cat's first time away from us, and he was so well cared for -- we couldn't be more appreciative! Our pet looks forward to returning :)”

“Sari did an absolutely outstanding job taking care of our two cats! She played with them a lot, and that is so very good for them. When we got home, the cats were happy and calm. They did not seem stressed about our absence at all. Sari took some beautiful pictures of the lads, and kept in good communication with us. Sari is an excellent cat sitter!”

“Haley took great care of our cats. She administered medication and earned the trust of our shy cat. She gave consistently updates with pictures, which we appreciated. We've already rebooked her for more check-ins. Thanks Haley!”

“Thanks very much for taking care of our grumpy Percy! Also really appreciate the care you took to clean up his accident—I expected a total disaster when we got home but it was really easy to get totally clean (I could barely find the spot when I looked for it with our carpet cleaner!) and our upstairs didn’t smell at all.”

“Ann was great! She left my home very clean and was an excellent communicator. I was very nervous to leave my elderly cat alone for the first time in years, especially since he developed health issues, and Ann did a great job taking care of him. I would definitely recommend.”

“Erin was great! She was patient with Tony while he settled in, and she kept me in the know with cute pictures and updates. I felt totally at ease leaving Tony with her (he clearly loved her), and I'd absolutely book with her again!”

“Heather did an absolutely wonderful job caring for our cats, Peeps and Emmett, while we were away on vacation. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such attentive and loving hands. She made sure they were well fed, spent quality time with them so they didn’t feel lonely, and kept everything tidy by consistently cleaning the litter box. It was clear she truly cared about their comfort and wellbeing, not just checking tasks off a list. We came home to two happy, relaxed cats. I would wholeheartedly recommend Heather to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet care.”

“Clareese did an amazing job and both my kitties loved her which is not an easy task! She was super communicative and check ins were exactly when I had them scheduled. Will definitely use her services again in future!”

“Tony was incredibly accommodating when our cat got an eye infection right before we left, and she needed additional care and more frequent visits. I’m so grateful to Tony for putting our minds at ease! He provided thorough updates and cute photos. Thanks to him, our cat’s eye is looking better than when we left. We will absolutely rebook!”

“Regan is very professional, detailed and friendly. My cat really likes her. It really took some stress off my trip knowing I had someone so responsible stopping by.”

“Breanna was wonderful with our cats while we were away on vacation! She came in for daily drops ins to feed them, scoop litter, and play with them. She sent detailed updates and high quality pictures every day that we looked forward to seeing. I felt really safe leaving our cats and home in her care and would absolutely recommend her to anyone. In addition to taking great care of the cats she brought in mail/packages and took out the garbage. She also vacuumed up their litter room without me having to ask. There’s nothing better than coming home from vacation to a clean house and happy kitties. Thank you Bre!!!”

“Tracie was wonderful to work with! She is very responsive and flexible. Her photos and notes show that she got to know my fur babies & paid attention to detail. I definitely recommend!”

“Morgan was awesome! Great communication, followed our care instructions, and sent multiple cute pics of Murphy per visit (when she was out of hiding, that is!). We will definitely book Morgan again!”

About: Hi! I'm Bre – a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of pet-sitting experience in both NYC and Pittsburgh. I’m based near Swisshelm Park and have cared for pets of all kinds throughout my life. I grew up with a loyal Yellow Lab, a beautiful Golden Retriever, a spunky Jack Russell, and three cats, and am well-versed in the unique personalities and needs of all types of furry friends. Over the years, I’ve provided everything from dog walking and drop-in visits to overnight care and extended house sitting. At the moment, I'm available for walks and drop-in visits. While I’d love to have a dog of my own, my current living situation doesn't allow for it –which just means I have extra love and attention to give to yours! I’m responsible, punctual, and trustworthy. I’m also playful, affectionate, and very in tune with the different energy levels and preferences pets may have. Whether your pup or kitty is full of energy or prefers quiet cuddles, I’ll adapt to their needs. You can expect regular updates and plenty of photos during our time together. I’d be happy to meet up for an introduction before booking – just reach out with any questions! I am also independently insured outside of the Rover Guarantee through Pet Sitters Associates. I have a fairly flexible schedule — perfect for daytime walks, outdoor playtime, and evening care. My availability is generally between 8 AM and 10 PM, so I can easily accommodate a variety of routines. At the moment, I’m only offering walks and drop-in visits (no overnight stays), but I’m happy to provide multiple check-ins throughout the day to keep your pet comfortable and cared for in their own home. Please note for April 13-April 30: I will be unavailable for drop-ins + walks after 12pm. I’m more than happy to come to your home to ensure your pets are cared for, comfortable, and getting the attention they need in a familiar environment. I approach every sitting with the understanding that I’m stepping into your pet’s world—their home, routine, and safe space. I prioritize consistency and a calm, gentle presence, especially for anxious or timid pets. I’m mindful of my tone, volume, and movements, and I keep routines as normal as possible. With repeat visits, I use the same soft greeting so they begin to recognize and feel safe with me. I never force interaction and always allow pets to approach on their own terms, building trust at their pace.
“Christy is great! She kept me updated throughout the day with pictures and double checked instructions on care for my dog. My dog came back so happy and tired after her day with Christy. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I am an experienced petsitter who has worked in a professional, insured capacity (for Heavy Petting Petsitting) for over a decade. I also have experience working as an Adoptions Counselor at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, where I was trained in the “Fear Free”, positive reinforcement-focused method of animal training and handling. I have an extensive understanding of both canine and feline body language and behavior, and have worked with dogs and cats of all breeds and personality types! I am currently in a remote Master’s program which allows me to arrange my schedule as is convenient to my clients. I do all of my course work from home! I have a household of a dog (cattle dog mix) and two kitties who are all very animal friendly! However, if your fur baby is not a fan of other animals, I am happy to stay at your home and follow your preferences as far as house conduct goes.

About: Animals have been part of my life since day one. I grew up with dogs and cats of all personalities! I currently share my home with Kisses, my calico, and Teddy, my German Shorthaired Pointer — one of the highest-energy breeds out there — so if your dog goes a mile a minute, I'm more than ready for it!! Over the years I've dog sat for all sizes and breeds — from tiny lap dogs to large, boisterous pups — and I treat every single one like they're my own. Your pet will be loved, played with, and completely spoiled. My home has a fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run, zoom, and explore that's perfect for dogs who need to burn off some energy. I'm also comfortable administering medication, so pets with special health needs are absolutely welcome. Your baby will get the same attentive care at my place that they get at home. Whether your pet needs a calm, cozy stay or a high-energy playmate, I've got them covered. I can't wait to meet your furry family member! I work remotely with a very flexible schedule, which means pet care is never an afterthought. It's woven into my whole day. I'm home the majority of the week, and on the rare occasion I do step out, I'm never gone for more than 3 hours. Your pet will always have someone present, attentive, and ready to play, cuddle, or just keep them company. No long stretches alone, ever. My home is set up thoughtfully for both dogs and cats. The layout is split-level, with cats having full run of the upstairs and dogs enjoying the main floor plus access to the fully fenced backyard — plenty of space to play, explore, and burn energy safely. The two never have to share space unless everyone is comfortable. I do have a resident calico and a German Shorthaired Pointer, both of whom are friendly and social, so I do ask that visiting pets are comfortable around other animals of their kind. I always offer a free meet-and-greet before booking so we can make sure everyone — pets and people — feels good about the stay before any commitment is made. My home is puppy-proofed and high-energy-dog-ready, and I have 24/7 SimpliSafe security monitoring for added peace of mind. You can expect regular photos and updates throughout every stay because you shouldn't have to wonder how your pet is doing. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions exactly. Your routines, your rules — meal times, crate preferences, favorite toys, walking routes — I stick to all of it. I respect your home as if it were my own, always clean up after your dog outside, and scoop litter boxes daily. Your pet's comfort and your peace of mind are the whole point.
“Justin takes amazing care of Finn, and Finn gets along so well with Justin's corgi, Watson. We also get tons of great updates about how Finn's day is going, and it's clear he always has a great time. Thanks again!”

“Brought Larkin to Joe's for his first doggy daycare. Joe sent pics throughout the day which was awesome and Larkin came home tired. Great place to leave your dog for the day and feel comfortable that he's ok.”

About: Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a lifelong animal lover based in the Pittsburgh area. I understand that pets are family, and when you leave them with someone else you want the same care, attention, and safety you’d give them yourself. I spent 13 years with my sweet mini poodle mix Theo, who taught me how much love and personality can live in one small dog. Because of him, I’m especially attentive to each pet’s unique quirks, routines, and comfort needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, couch snuggles, or a consistent routine, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most at home. I’m dependable, communicative, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet will be treated with the same patience, kindness, and care I would want for my own. I currently work from home and have complete flexibility with my job to ensure your pet gets as much attention, walks, and love throughout the day as they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine closely, provide a calm environment, and ensure they are always supervised, secure, and well cared for. I will always send you updates and let you know what we are up to on our days together.
“Tia was a great puppy sitter for our Monty! She updated us throughout the day with videos. Monty was playful and happy. She took great care of our fur baby! Would definitely recommend her.”

“It was Riley's first road trip to Philly (from GA). While his humans cheered on the Temple football team, Brittani provided excellent care and showed Riley around! She even took professional-grade photos of his walks! And, Riley enjoyed playing with her fur baby. If Riley's in town for any other home Temple football game, he'll be asking to go to Brittani's!!”

“We are so happy to have found such a great companion for our senior dog Meela. Tyler agreed to watch Meela last minute and kept us informed the entire time. Our elder girl simply likes to hang out with humans, and eat treats in her retirement age. It’s hard to find sitters that won’t leave leave her alone due to her high anxiety. All she needed was a friend, and we are glad to have found one in Tyler.”

“Carol has been very responsive and has taken in our girl Georgie. Georgie is a little timid and backwards at first, but Carol made her feel right at home. Georgie took to her welcoming, home environment and settled right in. She gets along great with the other babies being baby/dog sat, and Carol is very good with her. We will be using Carol in 2025!”

About: Hi! I’m currently focusing on dog walking and drop-in visits, and I’m not offering boarding at the moment. I’m a caring and responsible dog lover who truly enjoys spending time with dogs. I started taking care of pets for family friends about five years ago when I was living in Boston, and since then I’ve gained experience with dogs at different stages of their lives. My goal is to make every dog feel comfortable, safe, and loved while staying with me. I understand how important it is for pet parents to know their dog is in good hands, so I always do my best to provide attentive and thoughtful care. I usually work best with calm dogs who are comfortable relaxing on their own. For boarding, dogs should be able to stay home alone for a few hours and should not have severe separation anxiety. I’m more experienced with smaller dogs (under 25 lbs) and enjoy spending time walking, playing, and making sure they feel at home. I’m always happy to schedule a meet & greet so we can make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. Please feel free to reach out and tell me more about your pup — I’d love to meet them! I currently work 30 hours per week. I’m an early person so I’m happy to take pets to early walks! I am happy to walk your dog 3 times a day. Please chat with me! To ensure I can continue providing the highest standard of care to my clients, I have made the decision to limit my service to take care of one dog at a time I make sure I understand the needs from pet parents. Initially, I would ask pet parent to answer a list of questions I found helpful to know. For example, what’s the daily walking/sleeping/exercise/wasting routine. I will also take pictures/videos through out the day, and send them daily to keep parents updated through the boarding period.

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life, and I have lots of experience with big breeds as I’ve owned three Newfoundlands and a Leonberger. I also have some experience with elderly dogs. I have assisted in training all the dogs I’ve owned, and most importantly, I love all animals! I’m a college student home for the summer, so I’ve gotten plenty of time to spend time with your doggy. I’m less available early in the day (6–9AM), but from 9AM onward I’m at the disposal of your puppy. :) I’m quite good with crate training, as well as dogs that are a bit more stubborn. I am comfortable staying with them as long or as short as needed. I also have a lot of experience walking dogs that require prong collars or harnesses.

About: I love dogs and grew up with them! Though I don't have the space for them now, I've been missing some puppy playtime! Both of my parents are vets as well, so I'm also pretty well versed in all things pet care! I do work full-time, but a lot of my job can be done from home depending on the amount of notice I have before discussing that with my boss. That being said my weekends are pretty open as well as the occasional monday. I typically work from home every other monday! I love all animals! Growing up I had 2 dogs and then foster failed 2 cats! Those 2 cats currently live with my parents, but I'm bringing them up here when I move into my own place. Both of my roommates also have cats!

“I have been using Richard for years because he is wonderful with my dog. He is always the first person I request service from because you cannot find a better person to take care of your furry friend.”

“This was our first time leaving Bear with Tyler and he was amazing!

“Nelia is top notch! I am one of her repeat customers and she is my go to with Rover! See one of my previous lengthy reviews with all the details.”
“Athena was very happy when I picked her up, It was like she was on vacation while I was gone. I will definitely be having Adrienne watch Athena again.”

“Erin took care of my dog while I was in the hospital giving birth. She was very flexible with the start and end of the stay which is invaluable in that situation. He seemed to get exercise and even had a new golden retriever friend for the first day to play with. He didnt seem stressed in the pictures we received and got home looking happy and healthy much food in there! Would recommend to others.”
“Justin was very welcoming and after a visit together with Watson, I left Alexa in good hands. Justin sent lots of pictures of Alexa and Watson taking walks, and relaxing at home.”

“Sophie had a great stay with Adam. Adam took her on lots of walks to burn off her puppy energy and sent pictures of their adventures. We had Sophie on a pretty restrictive diet to figure out an allergy and Adam was able to help us keep her on it. Wonderful stay and worry free for me.”

“Krista gave daily updates and it seemed like Baki had a great time with Meat and Griffin! Very flexible in timing, pick ups/drop offs, and changing reservation windows which is always a huge help. Definitely would book again!”

“Lindsay and her family were wonderful and accommodating. They were also very flexible with my pickup time. They and their dog Murphy took great care of Sadie. I will certainly use Lindsay again to take care of Sadie next time I’m in the area. I highly recommend.”

My fiancée, Lauren, and I have her two dogs 2 weeks out of the month and they are great with other dogs and love to make friends! I work from home during the day and am a dance teacher in the evening. Between the two of us we have flexibility most of the day for house visits, walks, boarding, and daycare! I have a large backyard on a quiet residential street and 2 sweet dogs part time who love to make friends! I have the ability to crate dogs of all size in my home and will not accept dogs from multiple families at one time so your baby will be spoiled!
“Matt is the best! Our dog absolutely loves Matt and his family. They have a beautiful home with a fenced in yard and it is such a wonderful feeling knowing that we can go out of town and our dog is in great hands. After our last dog sitter closed her business we were afraid we would never find a replacement, but Matt is truly excellent and we can not recommend him enough!”
