“Lyndsay went above and beyond for her drop in visits with our girls. We came home from vacation to find full feeders, clean litter boxes, and, most importantly, happy kitties. We also appreciated all of the updates and photos while we were away. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Lyndsay again!!”

About: Hello! My name is Rachael, and I'm a graduate student who loves animals. My black cat, Zelda, has lived and traveled with me through six different countries and now lives with me here in Pittsburgh. I was raised in a household full of dog people and always lived with at least two dogs at any given time, so I have a lot of experience caring for and playing with dogs of various sizes and personalities. I also am experienced with caring for various other kinds of pets, from hedgehogs to lizards to fish to frogs. I'm a PhD student with a lot of flexibility in my schedule, so I typically schedule walks and drop-ins for the morning or evening. I also have no classes on Fridays and a lot of flexibility on weekends! I like to fit walks and visits into my daily routine in a way that helps me to get some extra steps in. When petsitting in a client's home, I always review all the instructions carefully. It's helpful for me to know as much as possible about the pet, such as any health or behavioral concerns I should be aware of, likes and dislikes, etc. I always respect a pet's boundaries and prioritize their safety and wellbeing. I also make sure to check in with the client regularly and alert them immediately of any concerns that need to be brought to their attention.
About: I’ve looked after multiple dogs of different breeds and sizes so I have experience looking after nearly all kinds of dogs. I am capable of also looking after multiples dogs at once, truly caring for them, and playing with them. My wife and I will spend our time and efforts to make your dog feel at home. As I have dogs of my own, it will fit like a glove as I will be caring for your dog alongside my own. I will treat your dog like my own. Dogs are very important to me regardless whether it’s my own dog or someone else’s. I will make sure that dog is safe and feels cared for in any environment.
“Lucas was very reliable and professional in caring for our cat. Lucas even did some useful things we did not ask him to do, such as take out and bring back our garbage can.”

About: I'm a dog mom myself & I treat every dog with the exact same love, patience, and care that I give my own. I understand that leaving your pet in someone else’s care requires total peace of mind, which is why I prioritize strict attention to routine, safety, and proactive communication. I currently work from 7am - 3pm on weekdays. I am fully available on weekends and overnights. After 3pm on weekdays I am fully available for drop ins and walks. I have a fenced in yard, and a Golden Retriever who is very friendly and well trained. I make sure there is always a water in my dogs bowl and I am on schedule with her feeding times.

“Cassy did a great job caring for our two cats. They seemed very comfortable with her in the pictures she shared. And she kindly dealt with cat mischief (plant pot disaster). Strong recommend.”

“Breanna was fantastic! So communicative and my dog Emma loved her. She spent quality time with Emma and made sure she had everything she needed, Emma misses her and we will definitely request her again!”

“Adisyn was so sweet and patient with my deaf, shy, and skittish little cat. I could tell from the pictures that Luna felt incredibly at ease around Adisyn. She took amazing care of Luna and even checked in to make sure she was okay after Pittsburgh was rocked by some serious thunderstorms and severe weather :-) Adisyn is an amazing communicator and pet caretaker. I would absolutely book again!!”

About: I have had dogs in my household since I was a baby. I moved to pittsburgh in 2021, and before that was living with my parents who had four dogs! Right now, I have 3 cats. I love to dogsit and spend time with other people's babies! I have experience in dog sitting, and have spent some time working in dog daycare/boarding. I am currently not working a typical job so I am available 7 days a week most weeks and can spend all of my time with your pet if needed! I am dedicated to keeping your pets safe and happy by keeping a close eye on them and making sure that they are loved and cared for.
“I honestly dont think there are words that can describe how incredible this girl is. In 4 days she turned my INSANELY anxious cat who has never once came out for a sitter into how he acts just like he is with me, a cute crazy playful little boy. When she kept me updated on photos and videos of them two playing i was shocked! She is hands down the best on the app and i am so thankful to have found her. Love, molly courtney and cooper”

“Ann was great! She left my home very clean and was an excellent communicator. I was very nervous to leave my elderly cat alone for the first time in years, especially since he developed health issues, and Ann did a great job taking care of him. I would definitely recommend.”

“I definitely recommend Morgan to any pet parent in need of reliable care with great communication. Morgan was more than happy to stop back in to double check something with our kitties, and we couldn’t be more thankful!”

“Haley has been so helpful to check in on my cat while im in the hospital. you can tell she loves pets. i was so anxious knowing he was home alone. she helps me know hes being fed and loved.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have cared for many, whether that’s my own, family, friends, and neighbors. I have walked, cared for, and helped train all dog types. I do not shy away from large breeds and will match their energy. If you have anxious or shy pets I will put in the time to get to know them and make them feel safe. Senior dogs with most special needs I have experienced. I am currently launching a business that allows for flexibility. I am wanting to find a feel good passion project and this fits perfectly into my schedule throughout the day. I will treat your pet and home as if you are there, friendly and respectfully. Knowing a pet is inside I am aware of escape artist so I do show caution opening the door. Depending on the person and place I can do a sweep through the house to make sure there were no accidents from your pet as well. While in my care, I am very aware of my surrounding and typically keep an extra leash, treats, and doggie bag on me as well. Depending on the energy level of your dog, I can always take them for a little extra run if needed.

“Becca was always communicative and kind as she helped with me, just moving to town knowing no one, and leaving my one year old bengal. They played and had lots of fun and already plan on booking her again (and sent her to some friends). On time, lots of pictures and very well loved report from the cat!”

Lucas took the most excellent care of our 3 kitties while we were away, including administering medication to 2 of them! He even brought in my mail! We don't travel an awful lot so I was a bit nervous to leave our kitties for that long but Lucas gave us a ton of peace of mind and I'll definitely schedule again in the future! Thanks so very much for everything!

Ashley did a fantastic job caring for my cat while I was out of town. I could tell my cat was well loved with many pets and play time. Ashley also kept the house neat across the entire week, was a prompt and clear communicator, and asked questions before I left in order to understand how to provide care while I was away. Would highly recommend.

Kristiana did a great job. She reported it took a couple visits for everybody to warm up to her, but they did. We came home to happy, relaxed kitty cats ready to play with us. She also followed all our instructions/requests and kept us informed throughout our time away.

Vanessa took amazing care of our two cats while we were away, the daily photos showed happy playful kitties who were getting all the attention they craved! Clear communication and prompt arrival times the entire trip, I never had to worry and could fully enjoy our trip. Definitely would rebook with Vanessa.

Savannah did an excellent job caring for my senior cat, Phoebe, who has some special medical needs including a daily oral pill. I’m always nervous leaving Phoebe alone overnight, but Savannah’s prompt and thorough communication helped put my mind at ease. She gave her lots of care and attention during her visits with Phoebe and took great care of my home as well. I will definitely rebook with Savannah if we need a sitter in the future!

There are no words for how wonderful Breanna has been over the past few years with my high maintenance cat. I am actually reluctant to relocate for work because I know I'll never find a more kind and patient Mo-Whisperer (and a genuinely - like unnecessarily 😂 - talented photographer, which is a lovely bonus)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
