About: I am an experienced petsitter who has worked in a professional, insured capacity (for Heavy Petting Petsitting) for over a decade. I also have experience working as an Adoptions Counselor at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, where I was trained in the “Fear Free”, positive reinforcement-focused method of animal training and handling. I have an extensive understanding of both canine and feline body language and behavior, and have worked with dogs and cats of all breeds and personality types! Updated rates reflect current gas prices and road closures. Thank you for understanding! I’m a college professor who has wide availability during the summer months. During the fall, my daytime schedule may be more restricted, but I am usually at home at least a couple of days of the week! I have a household of a dog (cattle dog mix) and two kitties who are all very animal friendly! However, if your fur baby is not a fan of other animals, I am happy to stay at your home and follow your preferences as far as house conduct goes.

About: I’m one of those people who will remember your dog’s name long before I remember yours (apologies in advance). I’ve had dogs for much of my life, including my Golden Retriever and a Lab (who passed over the Rainbow Bridge due to old age). Still grieving those losses, we foster dogs through Bark About It Rescue, which include long-term fosters who lived with my family for months at a time. All that being said, I’m very familiar with the walks, the zoomies, the stubborn streaks, the mysterious things that absolutely MUST be sniffed, that treats and scritchy-scratches are life, and the fact that every dog comes with their own personality and quirks. I’m an equal-opportunity dog lover — from little cuties with attitude to big, goofy pitties and everything in between. I’m comfortable with energetic walkers, rescue pups, and dogs who are shy, cautious, or need a little extra time to warm up. I don’t expect your dog to immediately love me. I’m happy to earn it. I also take the responsibility seriously. You’re trusting me with a member of your family — and, in many cases, your home. I’ll follow your instructions, respect your dog’s routine, keep you updated, and make sure your pup gets plenty of attention while they’re with me. And yes, there will be photos. Lots of photos. I work full-time in nonprofit comms so photos are just what I do. Whether we’re getting some serious miles in or your dog’s idea of a “walk” is spending 20 minutes investigating three mailboxes, I’m happy to follow their lead. You handle the schedule. I’ll handle the walks, belly rubs, poop bags, and photographic evidence that your dog had *the best* dog day. I work from home two days a week and am home on weekends, making Thursday through Sunday (with some additional flexibility) my best days to connect with your pup during the morning, afternoon, or evening hours. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. I’ll follow your instructions, keep a close eye on their surroundings and body language, and respect your home and routine. And please tell me all their quirks and favorites!

I’m presently in school and only taking one class over the summer. I ensure that I keep my availability updated for potential clients. In the summer of 2026, I have no availability on Thursdays. I’m happy to do a meet and greet prior to developing our walking relationship. I’m comfortable providing medication and happy to follow any directions for pet care that are necessary.

About: Hello! My name is Maya and I am an animal lover! I volunteered at a local animal shelter and was promoted to a volunteer coordinator there due to my dedication to caring for the animals searching for their fur-ever homes. During my time at the shelter I have administered medication, walked dogs twice my size, and have cleaned up far too many bad smelling liquids for one person alone. I am comfortable doing whatever may be necessary to ensure your pet is well taken care of and happy. You can be worry free if your pet is with me! I’m currently in graduate school online, so my schedule is flexible. I have the time to give your pet all the time and attention they need! I strive to make your pet as comfortable and happy as possible! I understand boundaries and that some pets need time to open up and am more than willing to give them that time.

About: I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs! I have experience feeding, playing, bathing, walking, and even training young dogs with simple things. I was able to gain experience taking care of dogs because I have a dog of my own who is now a senior. I’m also a dog walker at my local animal shelter which allows me to interact with dogs of all ages and different behaviors. Aside from dogs, I also have experience feeding and playing with cats. I have two cats who are friendly, love cuddles, neck scratches, and are amazing with my dog! I’m a college student who commutes to school. I have more flexibility during breaks but throughout the school year weekends are what would work best. I have experience with both cats and dogs. This has allowed me to work with animals that have different behaviors. I believe that animals require patience and love just like any other being. If needed, your pet will be in good hands in my home since my cats and dog get along very well.
