I’m currently a neuroscience PhD student, which gives me a flexible schedule that works well for pet care. I’m available for morning and evening visits throughout the week, and I keep weekends open for more extended stays, drop-ins, or walks. My academic schedule allows me to plan ahead and adjust as needed, so I’m able to accommodate most routines and time-sensitive needs. Whether your pet thrives on early walks or evening attention, I can be there to make sure they stay comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible to reduce stress and keep them comfortable. I follow all feeding, walking, and medication schedules as instructed, and I make sure to give pets the attention, playtime, and quiet time they’re used to. I always keep the home clean and secure which means tidying up after the pet, locking up carefully, and being respectful of the space. I take notes on any changes in behavior, eating, or bathroom habits, and communicate regularly with updates and photos so you’re always in the loop.

About: Hi, my name is Sophia! I’m a proud owner of a 11 year old Jack Russel/Staffy mix named Liam! He’s typically shy with other dogs at first but opens up after a good few sniffs. I also have two cats named Emilio and Antonio. They want to be friends with Liam so badly but he hilariously ignores their affections. I have enjoyed working with animals most of my life and I’m experienced with dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and snakes. Having worked at a veterinary clinic all through high school, I then volunteered at the local animal shelter throughout college. I absolutely adore all animals and all the much needed love they bring. I can’t wait to meet yours! I work two part-time jobs as well as gigging in the music scene. My schedule is either super open or sometimes less so! That being said, my family has moved to town so I will always be around for the holidays. My dog has separation anxiety so at-home stays can be tough but not impossible as I also have a lovely roommate he adores. My cats are good with dogs as well! I’m very experienced with drop-in visits and overnight stays. I follow instructions well and can easily cater to the needs of your pup or pups.

About: I have watched puppies and kittens all the way up to senior pups! I love spending time with the animals to make sure they’re comfortable while their humans are gone. I do work full time until 5 Monday - Friday, 2 days in office. I can do drop ins/ walks in the AM, during my lunch breaks, or in the afternoon/evening. I am also free weekends to help out with your pups or cats! I will be there for the dogs or cats however is best for them! I take my time and make sure the animal and I can be comfortable with each other.

On top of caring for, walking, and playing with the dogs my family owned, one of my earliest jobs was dog-sitting neighborhood dogs when their families were out of town. You can count on me to provide the same high quality care to your dogs that I would provide to my own. I am a current medical student in Nashville. As a result, most of my availability will fall on the weekends! My availability on Fridays would start around 6:30 pm and I can go to any time on Sunday. I will always respect your house rules and items when caring for your pets at your home. I will also respect and reinforce the way in which you have trained your pets (crate training, meal times, etc). I will always care for your pet to a high level of detail, making sure they have sufficient walks, making sure to clean up any mess they make, and making sure all of their needs are met!
