Hi my name is makayla!
I’ve taken care of mostly larger dogs since i was a kid with my mom, she lives in Pittsburgh, so i’m not able to do it with her anymore. Together we have rescued, fostered, and rehabilitated hospice dogs for the DPR and DDR since i was 8 years old. We have 3 dobermans right now and foster when we’re needed. Right now i’m currently 19 years old going into my sophomore year of college as a pre-med psychology major, I’m looking for a part time job while i’m in school and I have gaps in my day, i’m willing to stay over night and do drop in visits!

Right now I’m in a college dorm so i wouldn’t be able to bring your pets to my dorm but I’m more then willing to come to you!

Rowdy Potato can't walk much, so Makayla did an awesome job rolling her around in a carriage. Rowdy Potato got lots of love and cuddles and came back so much happier from their jaunts. Thank you Makayla!
Makayla has such a genuine love for dogs, and it shows in everything she does. She takes the time to understand each dog’s individual personality, needs, and comfort level, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. What really stands out is her thoughtfulness and creativity. She found a wonderful solution to help our senior dog eat comfortably, making mealtimes easier and less stressful. At the same time, she understands the needs of a high-energy dog and finds ways to keep them engaged and active, including making it possible for our whole family to enjoy walks together. She is attentive, compassionate, and incredibly dedicated to the well-being of the dogs in her care. You can truly see how much she loves them, and we feel very fortunate to have someone who treats each dog as an individual and goes the extra mile to make sure they are happy, comfortable, and cared for.

Schedule
I’m currently a full time college student with gaps in my schedule during class breaks where I could drop in and do potty breaks or walks. During the evening i’m done with class around 3:30-4:30 depending on the day where I would be able to head over to your pets and spend time with them!
