About: My entire life has revolved around raising and caring for dogs, and I have worked with dogs from all kinds of breeds, sizes, ages, and backgrounds. Ranging from newborn puppies to older rescues and shepherds to pits, I understand that patience and understanding is key to developing a strong and trusting relationship with any dog. Capable of training certain commands and working on obedience training I am currently a student working on only remote coursework that is asynchronous. I have a lot of flexibility and free time in the day, so earning some extra money while also caring for pets sounds like a great idea! I am in an apartment myself, however we keep a good schedule for our dog to keep her healthy and active. She is on a fixed eating schedule (morning and night) and gets to be outside multiple times a day, and at least 1 of those times is a walk. Treats and reinforcement on obedience and tricks daily are a must in our home as well. For clients, I offer what they ask. Dogs are very routine oriented and do not like it to be messed up, and I respect that for the dog as well as the owner. If there is anything the owner would like me to work on with the dog (certain tricks or manners), I am more than happy to help to the best of my abilities. During check-ins I see how the dog is doing both physically and emotionally, being sure to engage with them to help break up the monotony of sitting alone or being understimulated for extended periods of time.
About: Growing up, I was surrounded with pets and dogs of all breeds. I love all dogs and am currently raising my own Aussie Doodle who loves to have puppy friends around! Being a Dog Mom isn’t easy by any means, but I fully potty and house trained my pup Mocha. I work full time from home so I’m available all day to take care of any pet that stays with us. I also love being active, my own pup and I love to go on walks around the neighborhood & at centennial park! I work full time from home & I’m always available to tend to a pup’s needs. I can take pups for a walk in the morning + evening (avoiding the hot TN sun as much as possible!) as we live very close to Belmont & Centennial Park, with lots of space for pups to roam and explore! I have plenty of space for dogs to run and play around my house. Fair warning, our house does have a lot of stairs which may be more difficult on an older pup’s joints! For high energy and excited puppies, the stairs are great to get some exercise in if it’s too hot to go outside! I also always have lick mats or mental enrichment games on hand to keep a pup engaged throughout the day.
About: I grew up with a family dog who was a shih tzu and poodle mix. Now, I largely work with dogs who might need a little extra attention, but I’m open to working with other furry friends! Does your pet need medicine 3 times a day? I do that. Does your dog have leash aggression or very specific likes and dislikes? I've dealt with that too. Separation anxiety? Check! Senior dogs struggling with incontinence? I'm here to help. Currently, I offer house sitting (taking out trash, plant care, etc), drop ins, pet sitting (2-3 walks, medicine if applicable, feeding, play time), pet walks, and feeding. I can sometimes accommodate last minute bookings and am available most holidays and weekends. I offer pet sitting in my client's home to keep pets in the environment where they feel safest. I will collaborate with you to see what works best for your pet and their home. I love pets and will often spend a little extra time with them if you're worried about them being left alone. I know each dog and cat is different, so I'm more than happy to adjust to make sure they feel safe and comfortable!
“Christina is a fantastic dog walker! She has a natural gift for working with rescue dogs and was incredibly patient with our shy pup. She has built a genuine, trusting bond with our dog, which has made all the difference in our daily routine. She is reliable, professional, and truly treats our pet like her own. We are so grateful to have found her!”

About: I have been pet sitting for friends, family members, and neighbors since I was in middle school. I have also always been a regular volunteer at the animal shelters, so I have experience with all kinds of dog personalities, behaviors, and activity levels. I have trained all my dogs myself so if you are looking for help with a puppy/newly adopted dog, I’d love to help encourage those good behaviors while you are away! I work a pretty relaxed, work from home schedule. I am extremely active so would love to help you out with walks while you are at work, but would also love some couch potato company if that’s what your pet is into! Currently not available for any new walk/drop in requests Mondays & Wednesdays from 11-2. For drop-in visits, I will always take the time to figure out what your pet needs, and never make them feel rushed! For walks, I will cater our time to whatever your pet is looking for, whether that is as much distance as possible or as many stops and sniffs as possible! The end goal is your pet coming home happy and healthy and I’m more than happy to do whatever that takes!
“Roya was so great! She helped us out in a pinch and was super reliable and a great communicator. Our dog has special needs and she did a fantastic job following our instructions. We highly recommend Roya!”

“She is a patient and very sweet walker. Did amazing with my rowdy bunch. Good communication and was patient with me figuring out intricacies of the app.”

About: Hi, my name is Sophia! I’m a proud owner of a 11 year old Jack Russel/Staffy mix named Liam! He’s typically shy with other dogs at first but opens up after a good few sniffs. I also have two cats named Emilio and Antonio. They want to be friends with Liam so badly but he hilariously ignores their affections. I have enjoyed working with animals most of my life and I’m experienced with dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and snakes. Having worked at a veterinary clinic all through high school, I then volunteered at the local animal shelter throughout college. I absolutely adore all animals and all the much needed love they bring. I can’t wait to meet yours! I work two part-time jobs as well as gigging in the music scene. My schedule is either super open or sometimes less so! That being said, my family has moved to town so I will always be around for the holidays. My dog has separation anxiety so at-home stays can be tough but not impossible as I also have a lovely roommate he adores. My cats are good with dogs as well! I’m very experienced with drop-in visits and overnight stays. I follow instructions well and can easily cater to the needs of your pup or pups.

“Jessica was wonderful with Rizzo who has previously been too scared to go with other walkers! She was communicative, showed up on time, and always took pics! We’ll use her again”

About: I’ve had family dogs growing up and 2 dogs in college, all bullies! I have a soft spot for bullies and experience with them, but love ALL dogs! I’ve also volunteered at the dog shelter and fostered dogs through Nashville’s Wags and Walks program in the past 🩵 I just recently got laid off from my corporate job, so I have a super flexible schedule right now. Can do daily drops in and walks on most week days and weekends that I can free! I love to walk outside, so I am happy to take your dog on their daily walk or stop in to visit/ feed them while you are away 😊 I do not board dogs or watch dogs at my own home, but am happy to come to your home to care for them- whether it’s for a drop in, feed time, daily walk or play time! Also open to short term house sitting if you need someone to care for your pup while you are away!

About: Pets have always been a central part of my life. I grew up with dogs and have cared for them over the years, and I’ve had cats my whole life. I know how to read their behavior, keep routines consistent, and make sure your pet feels at ease whether you’re gone for a few hours or a few days. I work full time but I have plenty of flexibility to take care of your pet! I go into the office 3 times a week but I am off work by 3:30pm. I can do early mornings, late nights and weekends! I come to your home, so your pet gets to stay exactly where they’re most comfortable — in their own space, with their own smells, routines, and hiding spots. I follow your instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, litter box preferences, or which spots are off-limits. I’ll always send updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I am a dog and cat lover and always happy to take the best care of your beloved family member. I originally came from Wag! a different dog walking/sitting app with over 800 completed services with a 5 star rating. I trained puppies, taken care of senior dogs, administered insulin, and love caring for dogs of all sizes. I have done dog walking/ pet sitting full time for a few years and currently looking for new clients as I moved to this area from Nashville TN. I prefer sitting in my clients home, it makes me comfortable knowing the pet is in their space and have their familiar surroundings. And following the routine the owners have given me to ensure their pets are happy, healthy, and safe while they are away!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Melrose
Elizabeth rescued me as I needed a sitter last minute to attend an event in downtown Nashville. Unfortunately a few of my other sitters prior to booking with Elizabeth had something come up. She is reliable, caring, attentive, & went above and beyond for my Miko! I would definitely request her again when visiting Nashville ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and you should also!!!

Piper quite literally saved my life today! I had a last minute cancellation and she was immediately responsive and on the way. Went above and beyond as far as microwaving an egg for my finicky girl who will only eat if there’s a fancy topper on her food and all I had booked was a walk. 10/10!!! Even sent pictures and videos to ease my mind. Kind, personable, responsible, and responsive!🤩

We LOVE Avery! She is so gentle and kind! Avery is communicative, proactive, responsive, and clear. She thinks ahead, confirms scheduling questions, sends TONS of cutie pics, is super observant and lets you know of any atypical qualities in your pet, and is beyond flexible. The first time my dog, Sasha, met Avery, she acted like they had known each other forever! What a gift to make dogs feel so safe, comfortable, and at home! We enjoy using Avery on a recurring basis for midday walks, and I'm so thankful for her availability and flexibility in scheduling! Couldn't ask for more!!
