“The only bad part about highly recommending Ana is that her schedule might get too full 😂 now for real, Ana is a saint. My dog is very picky and an old man and somehow she just gets him. She's incredibly reliable and quick to respond. I had a two week trip planned and Ana continuously gave updates and pictures, moreso than my own sister who was actually house sitting with him! She's so caring and loving, your pup will be so happy with Ana as a new friend”

“This is our second time booking with Tina and we are so happy to find someone so reliable. Our cat loves her and we feel so much more at ease on our trips knowing Tina is taking care of our cat. We also booked her services for a two week Europe trip and can’t recommend her enough for cat and house sitting. Our cat was so chill when we came home and we noticed a difference from previous trips.”

“Our pups loved Phillip the moment they met him. He stopped by and did a meet and greet, which was very comforting. One could tell he also enjoys being around dogs. He kept us updated daily and even collected our mail and packages. We left him a letter regarding caring for the pups and he followed every step. On the last day he spent a few minutes with us and the dogs and you could tell they were happy to see him. Will definitely use him again.”

“Another fabulous booking! Latisha is fantastic! She’s reliable, takes good care of my cat and you can always tell my cat is happy to see her from the pics and videos! We’ll absolutely continue to book with Latisha for our travels.”

“Leilani did some drop-ins for our dog Moxie as we were away for the evening for a special event. I loved the reports we got from her with updates and our dog loved her at the meet and great! Will definitely be rebooking.”

“Kristin was great! I was initially hesitant about leaving my puppy with a stranger for drop offs but he immediately loved her and they seemed to have such a good time. I loved all the photos she sent of him!”

“This is our second time using Olivia and she was wonderful! She’s so communicative and makes us feel totally at ease while we’re away. We will absolutely use her again; we completely trust her and highly recommend!”

“Beth is amazing! Super reliable, easy to communicate with, and clearly loves taking care of animals. I really appreciated how many photos she took during drop-ins; it made me feel so reassured to leave my dog in her care. I’d definitely rebook her services!”

“Marcie was so great to our pup over Christmas weekend! She took him for walks and loved on him in her check-ins at our house, and even laughed off and cleaned up the mess he made when he got into some stuff overnight. Thank you!!”

“Danielle was amazing with our cat Leo! I was a nervous cat parent leaving him alone for the first time and she was so easy to communicate with and made me feel very comfortable that he was in good hands. She went above and beyond and sent lots of photos which was so appreciated.”

About: I have been pet sitting ever since I have been a little kid and have never had a dissatisfied pet owner. I love all kinds of animals and can’t wait to take care of yours like my own while you’re away. I work a full time job with a flexible schedule. I will be to adjust my schedule to fit yours and your pets needs. I am available for drop in visits or able to stay at your house. I am usually more available on weekends but can also be available during the week. I prefer jobs in hillcrest or nearby area. I grew up with large and medium size dogs and have been pet sitting for about 14 years. I am very responsible and will take care of your pet like it’s my own. Your pet and home will be in very good hands.
“Madelyn made it happen for me with a last minute cat sitting request and I could not be more appreciative! She was communicative and sent lots of good photos of my kitty while she was there. Would definitely book again.”

“I appreciated the detailed messages Monica sent about my cat’s mood and behavior. Monica made it easy to trust that she could watch my cat for such a long time. I will use her again!”

About: I'm a dog mom to a 10-year-old yellow lab rescue, Piper, and a 4-year-old golden cavalier, Mabel. I’ve had dogs of my own since I was 21 years old and I’m currently in my thirties; I’ve had both male and female, and dogs ranging in size from 5 lbs to 75 lbs. I know all about the commitment of dog ownership and would like to support you in caring for your beloved dog. I have experience with puppies as young as 8 weeks all the way to elderly dogs. I also have experience with dogs with special needs - my first dog had 2 surgeries on her leg due to a knee injury, so I am well-versed on caring for dogs in that fragile state. Please let me know how I can help you. Thank you. I work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, making it easy to walk dogs in my neighborhood throughout the day. I’d love to hear from you! I care for pets outside my home. I am comfortable in both a city apartment setting and in a home with a yard - whatever you need. I am highly allergic to cats. I only service clients with dogs.
“Isabella was top notch! Best cat-sitter west of the Mississippi! 😃 She took amazing care of my grieving kitty who has lost all his buddies/companions while I was away. So happy she could and was empathetic for good ol Skiddy da cat! Thanks again. Will definitely be using her again.”

“My dogs love Caitlin. She’s amazing in how well she cares for my dogs while I’m gone. I can be certain that they are in great hands. She thinks of the smallest details to make sure they are comfortable and safe. Thank you!”

Jasmin was a wonderful pet sitter! She took excellent care of my two kitties while I was away and gave me so much peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and sent regular updates and photos, which I really appreciated. It was clear my cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would absolutely book with Jasmin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!

Chelsea was awesome taking care of my cat, she went above and beyond. She checked his water and food daily, ensured he got daily pets, snacks, and play. Throughout the visit Goose even began to seek pets and attention something he does not usually do. She even went so far as to check and change out his litter bag since it was getting full towards the end of my trip. I am really happy with the service she provided and will happily rebook with her if I need petsitting services.

Alexia is a literal godsend. Bentley is a particular senior dog, so I don’t trust him with just anyone. I left her a detailed care routine, and she followed it to a T. She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Hillcrest stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hillcrest. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
