“Jovi was great!! She didn’t just feed my cats, but she took the extra time to play with them and love on them during each visit :) I even got cute little picture updates which let me know they were thriving in her care.”

About: Having been a pet owner for 13 years, I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge on how to provide consistent and high-quality care. We work full time but our schedule allows us to be flexible! I am available for walks early starting in the early afternoon, and available for boarding any day of the week. Safety and trust are my top priorities, and I have designed my home environment to provide a secure sanctuary for dogs of all ages and sizes.
About: I have my own dog, and have had him since he was 4 months old, so I know what goes into keeping a dog happy and stimulated. My dog is my child and my life revolves around him. I currently work part time and also have a 3 year old dog. I still currently have a lot of free time and am looking to do something I love, with that time. My dog, Bandit, is my child. He is a completely indoor dog who has free range of the house and furniture. He is one of the family. I take him to the dog beach or dog park every single day.
“Heather was absolutely amazing! I had to schedule last minute due to work obligations and she was able to accommodate. She took great care of my Ruby girl and sent lots of photos and updates!!!”

“Audra was as sweet as can be, and just as wonderful as can be to my baby! Although my dog is standoffish and not as warm to strangers, Audra was able to get her to be friendly and polite during her stay. I would strongly recommend her as a sitter any day of the week!”

“Daisy cared for my cat while we were away, she was very friendly and communicative and left detailed rover cards during each visit. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, your pet is in good hands with Daisy! I will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”

“Chewy loves Jaime! Since chewy is only 14 weeks old, she is extra gentle with him and he just adores her. It’s very obvious how much she loves animals from the kindness she instills onto them. She always keeps me updated with pics and even helps replenish treats, water, food when her needed too. We will continue to book Jaime for as long as her availability allows! She is just such a great personality and we love how much care she puts into our furry family member!”

“Tyler is the best we’ve ever had for our dog and it’s only been two weeks! At his initial meet and greet, you immediately get the sense that he is very passionate and knowledgeable about dog care. If his incredibly high ratings don’t say enough, I’ll tell you from the source that he is the right choice for you!”

About: As a proud dog mom, I understand that pets aren’t just animals — they’re family. Caring for my own dog has taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of routine, exercise, and lots of love. From daily walks and playtime to recognizing subtle changes in behavior, I’m attentive to every detail that keeps a pup happy and healthy. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog, and I treat every pet as if they were my own — with safety, affection, and reliable care at the forefront. I’m currently in the military so my schedule is very unpredictable. There are times when I have significant time off allowing much flexibility or there are times when my availability will become much limited. That said, I’m big on communication and keeping my calendar updated. I only take bookings when I know I can fully show up and give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. If I commit to you, you can count on me! When I’m caring for a pet in their home, safety is always my top priority! I make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure before and after walks, and I’m careful to prevent any escape risks. I follow all instructions exactly as given — feeding routines, medication schedules, crate use, and house rules — to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. I’m mindful of potential hazards like foods left out, small objects on the floor, or anything that could be chewed or swallowed. During walks, I use secure leashing practices and stay alert to surroundings, other animals, and traffic. I also provide regular updates so you feel confident and informed while you’re away. Your home will be respected, and your pet will be cared for like family. ((:

I also have some experience providing liquid and pill medication with documentation I’m currently recovering from heart condition I have lots of time a need to walk as much as possible. So if your dog is active I’m your guy. I have a fenced yard two small dogs that are very dog friendly. Three water spots on the property. Inside and outside lounging options for woofs of all sizes and and ages
“Kim did an excellent job taking care of Stella. She is confident around dogs and bonded quickly with Stella. She sent me pics and also cleaned up after Stella's outings. Will definitely be calling Kim again!”

About: I have had pets since I was born. I raised small breed dogs (family dogs) when I was younger and went in to raise 2 large breed dogs at my current age. I have trained my dogs since they were puppies and have often received compliments on their behavior. They enjoy time outside, snuggles on the couch, and homemade treats. All of which I’d offer to any dog in my care. I have a spacious home with plenty of room to run around. I am skilled in giving medication to all sizes and ages. My Aussie is not keen on meds so I’ve had to learn ways to get around that. I love all animals and someday hope to have a farm once my husband retires from the Navy. I do not work. My husband is the worker. I’m the homemaker. So I have plenty of time to do drop ins, check ins, etc and will not leave your dog for long periods of time. I have my own car, so I’m able to make it from point A to B without issue. I also have a routine that my own dogs follow, so I’m up everyday by 8am. I have 2 crates already located in my home. I hsve 2 dogs of my own. A female pitbull (Erza) and a male Aussie (Killua). I have a garage that I allow them to run around in for exercise (I’m working on making it into a doggy play room for my dogs, but it’s large so it’d fit up to 8 dogs). I have have 3 Furbo cameras in my home, so on the off chance I have to not be home I am able to view them on camera. I can also send recordings as needed.

About: Our family has had several years of experience with a large variety of dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments and medical conditions. From administering insulin shots to working with retired police dogs, we have experienced it all. You can rest assured that your dog would be loved and cared for as if it were our very own and would receive the best care as we would want for ours. We both have experience in working with dogs with some challenging traits to include health issues and are more than capable in caring for dogs in perfect to not so perfect health. We have had dogs from early puppies all the way to adopted senior citizens in our lifetime and would love to love your dog like we would our own while you're at work or out of town. We currently have weekends to ourselves and your dog would spend the day/weekend with us being part of the family. From walks to the park to play time at the beach, and even coming out with us to dinner, your dog will be made to feel like they are one of the family. We welcome dogs in the bed, car rides, play time, fetch, cuddles, and an overall good time. We genuinely love dogs and want them to feel comfortable and happy while you're away. We do not have a yard but we live close by to a fenced in park (not a dog park) and would provide several leashed walks a day. We try and keep to a routine while they are here with us so there is familiarity and a sense of comfort in that there are not big surprises. We have a quiet neighborhood and not a lot of coming and going in our home, and when we do leave, it's expected that the dog(s) go with us where ever they can. We want your dog to be part of the family while they're with us giving you peace of mind that your fur baby is loved and well taken care of, just like we would want for ours.
About: Animals are and will for ever be part of my life, they are a huge source of happiness for me, even if I’m not their owner and only have them for a few minutes, I will love them and respect them as if they where my own. I’ve taken care of many dogs, cats, and other different pets and have the experience needed for knowing what they want and how to treat them. I am available to take care of your pets any day of the week even weekends! This mostly during breaks, I am a college student so during school semesters the availability can change depending on my classes, but I’ll usually change that in advance on the app. I also can do nights, or we can arrange something that will work for both sides, I’m very open to talk and help in any way possible! Most services are offered, I can walk them, feed them, spend time with them and pet them of course! I can stay nights, the day or even a few hours or minutes at your place and they are also welcome to my home any time. Safety is important on both sides, if pets are aggressive or bite please let me know in advance, if they have conditions or medical issues please let me know, I’ll take care of them with all the safety needed and provide them with a loving, caring and safe environment.

“Amber has been watching our new 4 month old puppy this week. She comes in for a 30 minute visit once per day. Amber had been great! We leave instructions that she had followed perfectly. She leaves detailed report cards so we know exactly what occurred during the visit.”

“New sitter and Melissa was fantastic !!! Took lots of notes during our meet and greet, very thoughtful and thorough. Comfortable right off the back with our furbabies .. Found us a new sitter ! Very greatful”

About: Hello everyone! Nice to meet you! My name is Briana and I’m originally from San Diego. Throughout my life, I’ve cared for many dogs and have owned three. I currently have one dog, Duke. He is the greatest companion and has so much love to give! He’s super friendly with other dogs and such a silly pup. If given the chance to care for your dog, I would treat them as if they were my own. There is no greater joy than having a dog around to love and play with and I would be honored to care for your dogs whenever needed. I understand how difficult it can be to find someone to care for your pup on such short notice but I am more than willing to work with your schedule! I’m currently working full-time but have the ability to work remotely. I’m fully available throughout the week, weekends, and holidays. I’m very open to creating a schedule that you are comfortable with. I live near the silver strand trail and regularly take my dog out for long walks. My pup loves to sleep together and loves to cuddle.

Audra is simply the best! She’s knowledgeable, communicates great, and it’s clear that she really CARES about my dog. Rory is getting up there in years, and Audra accommodates her stiffness and aches with experience and compassion. One really huge thing is how dog-friendly my dog isn’t, and I have complete trust in Audra keeping her safe (from herself) while out on walks and that peace of mind can’t be understated. I can’t recommend her enough!

We had such a great experience with Deeanna watching Prince! She spent the evening playing with him, kept us updated, and even cleaned up his potty pads after he pooped. We came home to a happy pup and everything taken care of. 😊 We felt completely comfortable having Prince in her care and would definitely book with Deeanna again. Thank you for taking such good care of our little guy! 🐶🤎

Heather took great care of our 2 cats and pet hen while we were away. Our cats quickly took to her kind and calm demeanor during the meet and greet. She provided a written note with fun pictures for every visit. We looked forward to the updates, which helped alleviate stress of our travel. She handled a couple requests that came up and was very responsive throughout. We arrived back to happy, well cared for pets and a tidy home! We highly recommend Heather, and absolutely will re-book in the future.
Jaime was such a heaven sent! She was so accommodating to my requests (even a last minute request to drop in a day extra) and sent our family so many photos of our animals! She responded super quickly to my texts and gave me such peace of mind. Prior to booking she came and did an initial visit to meet our animals so they would be comfortable with her presence. Our animals, with all their quirks, took to her so quickly and looked full of joy when she was visiting. She even helped with obedience training for our dog so her schedule wasn’t interrupted! Our family will definitely be rebooking Jaime on our next trip so we know our animals are safe, provided for, and loved while we are away. Thank you so so much Ms. Jaime!!

Andrea is the BEST! She makes my cat feel so comfortable and always takes great care of him. She is the only person I book when I leave town and ill use her services every time she is available. Very reliable and kind. Great communication so you always know what's going on while youre away. I recommend her every time!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
