About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I would care for my neighbors animals when they were out of town. I’ve always loved dogs and have a 7 yr old Labradoodle, Max, that I rescued when he was a four month old puppy. He had escaped from his original owners and been missing for two days. Please found him and he can run over by a car. They couldn’t save his leg so he’s a tripod. He doesn’t even know he’s missing a leg. Max loves walks, water, and playing with his best doodle friend, Molly. I also have a lot of experience administering insulin shots for dogs. I would love to care for your fur babies the way I care for mine. I am semi retired and my time is very flexible. I’m available for daily walks or pet sitting. I’ll care for your fur baby exact same way I care for mine. My dog Max is living his best life with me. He receives lots of love, walks, snuggles, and playtime. I would give your dogs the same care and affection.

“Denis is our favorite dog walker in the area. He's responsible and trustworthy. We always feel at ease when he stops by for drop-in visits. He takes very good care of our boy Bentley and provides pics that make us smile. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone good to care for their pets.”

“Julia took very good care of our pup! She listened to what he was telling g her in the walks and adjusted the walk to what he was needing at the time. 100% would recommend and will rebook for our next trip”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats for 35 years. I currently have a German Shepherd and a domestic short hair cat. I volunteer at the humane society socializing cats. I am retired and have time and love enough to care for your small dog or cat. I prefer to stay in the northern Virginia area if possible. I’m available for drop in visits or overnights. I amvery experienced keeping an active dog entertained. I can take small dogs for walks in your neighborhood

About: I have lived with, trained, brought up and loved dogs all of my 60 years. Currently I live alone and travel quite a bit for work so cannot own a dog myself but am happy to take care of yours when I'm available. I would not be a good regular sitter due to my schedule, but generally, you can count on me to look after your pup or cat while on vacation or whatever. I have lots of experience with senior dogs, and have on occasion babysat at your home if you are comfortable with that situation. I walk a lot around my apartment complex, which is very welcoming to dogs. I am also home during the day so your pup is not alone. When you board your dog with me, you can expect he or she would get a walk in the morning, around noon and during the evening with some short outside breaks as needed to do his or her business. If I visit your home, I can walk once a day for about 20-30 minutes.

“Laurie has a genuine love for dogs which she reflects in the way she cares for our pup Leo, showing the same level of attention as if Leo was her own. Laurie understands dog's needs well and focuses on quality time - both physical and mental stimulation, always actively engaged and present in the moment which reflects in the way my pup goes absolutely bananas when she sees Laurie. We are very happy with Laurie's service and would recommend others her way, as the level of care and attention is a rare find in the dog walker market.”

“Chris is great! My dog definitely developed some separation anxiety related to our move and Chris took extra time to stay back after his walk so he could get to know her and have a little bit more comforting and reassurance. Her flexibility with scheduling has also been really amazing throughout the whole process. Will definitely request her dog-walking services again!”

About: I offer a warm, calm, loving environment. I only board one or two dogs at a time. This allows for personalized attention for your pet. I allow my pets and yours on my couch and bed. I have space to crate if that is what your dog needs or wants. I’m three blocks to the beach so if your pup likes to walk at the beach we have that available. We spend a lot of time outside if the weather permits. I can give meds and insulin shots if needed. I’m a pet owner myself so we plug in your pet’s needs into our daily routine. Meal times, potty time, can be accommodated and worked around. I treat your pup just like one of my own. I’m always careful to get their collars/harness on correctly. Play is supervised and highly encouraged.

About: I am a forever dog lover! Growing up with an 100lb lab and a small beagle, I know how to take care of dogs of all sizes! I recently graduated from the University of Michigan and am home for the summer before moving to NYC! Spending time with dogs is the perfect way for me to spend my last summer at home! At home, I love to give my dog Milo all the attention, but I also know how to make sure he respects space (he’s a very big boy). I would do the same in a clients home—making sure the pet feels taken care of but also respecting any rules or boundaries the client might have.

About: I’m comfortable taking care of all types of pups, small, big, and even huge! Have only three years of experience but have been walking dogs full time ever since I’ve started :) want to make sure your pup is taken care of and safe at all times! I am a grad student at Northwestern University, however I have lots of extra time when I’m not in classes to give your pup all the attention they need :) I do live in an apartment, but during boarding, me and the pups will go on lots of walks, runs, hikes, whatever your pup needs.

Jennifer D.
“Jenny adopted a tripod dog several years ago. She and Max have been BFF’s to Molly and me ever since. When Molly was diagnosed with diabetes Jenny was at my side as the vet explained the best way to care for her. We were both taught how to administer insulin to Molly. Since then Jenny has fed and given Molly her insulin on many occasions when I have not been home to do it myself. She also would take Molly on walks with her and Max. Jenny is reliable, responsible and kind; the kind of person I would want to care for my dog!”

“Alexis is great! We have a very energetic, Shepard-mix puppy who is 1 year old, that needs a lot of love and patience! Alexis has jumped in to help run out our pup's energy while we are at work and we couldn't be happier with her help! She is kind, generous and reliable! Not only is she great with our pup but she is extremely trustworthy. This is a huge plus since she enters our home alone, while we were gone or working. Don't look any further, Alexis is your gal! Your pets will be happy and well cared for and you will have peace of mind!”

Helena has been amazing with our dog! I made sure Helena met our dog and ME before we began our walks and I was fortunate Helena agreed. From the moment our dog met Helena he was calm and receptive to her care. Typically, our dog is distrustful of strangers coming into our house, but he didn't respond that way with her. Helena has shown herself to be very dependable, responsible, loving and has the trust of our dog and his dog parents. I strongly recommend her.
