“This was my first time using Rover and Denis was amazing!! He was so professional and immediately put me at ease when we met. It was so fun to get pics of our dog while we were out of town & I knew he was being taken care of. I highly recommend Denis & Nikki!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 8 years and truly love spending time with animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m very active, patient, and dependable, so whether your dog needs long walks and playtime or your senior pet needs a calmer, gentler approach, I’m happy to adapt to their needs. I understand how important pets are to families, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re gone. Pet care fits very naturally into my weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule and genuinely enjoy staying active and spending time with animals. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays, especially afternoons and evenings. I enjoy going on walks, being outdoors, and giving pets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I’m also reliable with feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, medications if needed, and keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pets are doing well. Creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for pets is very important to me. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow all routines closely so pets feel secure and relaxed in their familiar space. I pay close attention to instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, crate training, and any special needs or behaviors. I’m patient, attentive, and always prioritize safety during walks, playtime, and interactions with other animals. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, comfortable, and cared for as if they were my own.
“Karina was delightful to meet and she did a great job with our two dogs. She went the extra mile for us by doing it all on a short notice. We really appreciated her being available to lend a walking foot so we could go to Chicago for the day.”

“Yesterday, Jason was walking our dog when a neighbor’s dog ran through its electric fence, and charged my dog. Jason calmly and skillfully de-escalated the situation, preventing potential serious injuries to my pet. Jason is a wonderful dog walker, and in this case he went well above and beyond the call of duty.”

“Hanna was wonderful with Jaxx on his first walk. He was shy at first since he’d never had a walker before, but her calm and patient approach helped him warm up quickly. She let him walk at his own pace, shared detailed updates, and even sent a picture, which I really appreciated. I felt very relieved and will definitely continue using her services”

About: My doggies taught me everything I know. They are no longer here - they went to doggy heaven and we miss them all the time. My teens and I have a lot love to give and want to share with your doggy. You can rest assured we would treat your doggy as if it were ours. Also, anything under 10.5 miles for more than 1 day I offer pick up and dropp off. I work from home and have a very tight routine in our home that will help your pet feel calm and secure. Since pets thrive on routine it will bring them peace and calmness. I can give extra walks when it's a nice day and make sure we stay active if need or relaxed and enjoying a lazy "dog day". I have a quiet, grassy backyard that gives dogs a calm place to sniff, stretch their legs, and enjoy fresh air. It's a low-stress space that's great for potty breaks and relaxed outdoor time. I'm very mindful of which dogs are a good fit for my space and always put safety and comfort first so that your pups feel happy and at ease while they're with me. Doggies are allowed on our beds and couches and even our bathrooms :) - we keep a light sense of humor
“This was our first time using Erica. She was great. She arrived within our pre set time frame, took Baxter on a good walk and played with him at home before leaving. I got cute pictures and he was happy and tired when we got home. She’s already been rebooked.”

“Hannah was soooo wonderful with our senior dog. She took many pictures and communicated with us the entire time we were away which made us feel very at ease. She even brought a gift bag of treats for him and asked many questions regarding his needs! I would definitely recommend her for any care taking needs and would love to rebook her the next time we are away.”

“Diana was prompt, responsive and reliable! She was great to work with and I felt so much relief leaving my pets in good hands while I was away. Thank you Diana! Will absolutely rebook soon”

“Ariana was great taking care of my dog. She took him for a solid walk, refilled his water, and he was super happy to have company when I was at work. She was also really communicative and was helpful in fitting him into her schedule.”

“I chose Amy as my walker the fist time I used Rover and will always choose her. She is fantastic. I love the peace of mind the company policies provide me. The check in cards are a great feature and the fact that I can select to receive Rover messages as texts is also a great option. The app is user-friendly and works smoothly.”

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was 8. We got my first dog when I was three. He winked at me on the way home so I named him Winky. My favorite photo is of me napping on the couch with WInky in the 60's. Since then, I've had a love for dogs. But since my son has an allergy, I can't have a dog right now. I would love to walk your dog! I'm currently semi-retired so I have time to walk dogs. I need to walk every day so I'm happy to take on this role. I can't have dogs at my house due to my son's allergy. I can come to your dog. I am a trustworthy and prompt person (always on time!). I am gentle with all dogs and, if I may say so myself, dogs love me.

I have experience with pets of different personalities and energy levels, and I always prioritize their safety and well-being. I’d love the chance to care for your furry family member! About: I’ve taken care of different types of dogs since I was 14. I had a golden doodle pet of my own for 12 years. I have given injections and pills to dogs. I have been trusted to take care of dogs with epilepsy and diabetes. I have plenty of time to be with your animals. I love cuddling with them and won’t have a problem having them in my bed. I am from Riverwoods and it is soon to be my senior year in college but I have time off now. I also love being active and outside. I have no concerns about anxious dogs and I know they will warm up to me with time. I can crate your dog if needed. For extra outdoor time, I have a a zip line cord to connect to a collar that prevents them from going past a certain point in the backyard since we do not have a fenced in yard. They can roam around there.

About: I am and always have been an animal lover. I am 45 years old and have always had a dog that I have been lucky enough to take care of throughout my entire life. I truly believe that animals make humans better people and that we can continually learn so much from them. I currently work part time as a piano teacher, and so pet care offers me flexibility as well as gives me the opportunity to take care of animals-something that is dear to my heart. I offer treats and allow my furry friends the freedom to explore my house as they please. They are more than welcome to hop up on my couch or bed if they like. And, if they have a favorite bed they like to use and bring along, they are more than welcome to do that too. Whatever makes them feel most comfortable.
Riverwoods dog parents share their Rover experiences
I have two dogs - one small Teddy Bear and the other big Rottweiler. Ling was able to walk both smoothly. My two dogs have different personalities. Ling was so patient and friendly, trying to understand their personalities. My dogs were very comfortable when walking with Ling. I can tell Ling loves all kinds of dogs and I strongly recommend her to any dog families.
Thea was wonderful! She did a meet and greet with Marley before his walk, and he immediately took to her, which says a lot. She was early very punctual on time, incredibly sweet, and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. She sent adorable photos during their walk, which gave me peace of mind and made my day. Marley looked so happy and comfortable with her. I would absolutely recommend Thea to anyone looking for a caring, dog sitter and will definitely be booking with her again!

Abby is the best!!! My dog, Zeus gets so excited to see her. She clearly loves dogs, all dogs and treats them like you would treat your dog yourself. She is pleasant to speak with and always does a great job. I would highly recommend her to any dog owner that needs help with dog walking or dog sitting.

Stephen is an incredible dog sitter and walker! He is incredibly professional, caring and attentive. We loved getting photos of our dog after each visit - both action shots and close ups. We are grateful for Stephen's attention to detail, professionalism and care.
