About: I am a loving and friendly dog sitter! I grew up with two dogs, a poodle and a Chihuahua. My family currently has a bull terrier that I love very much. I also take care of my best friend's dog when she is out of town. I love dogs and going on walks so this combination is perfect for me. I am currently a nanny to one of nephews as needed but I am free every day during the summer to take care of your furry babies. I make sure I read their cues of needing water/food, when they need to pee/poop, when they're overstimulated, stressed, or happy. I also make sure to pet them and show them love by scratching them, patting them, and rubbing them. I also follow any schedule that is given to me to make sure they stick to their normal routine.

“I'm very glad that we met Jenna and she is giving Violet walks on a regular basis. Jenna is very accountable and trust worthy. She is calm and understanding with my often anxious dog. And this week she responded to a last minute request for a walk... I appreciate the level of flexibility and quick responses that she provides.”

About: My mother and I have fostered, and done animal transport on and off for over a decade. From deaf puppies, to rowdy German Shepherds, to bottle fed kittens. I’ve seen everything when it comes to pets. I’m going to school in January, but I’m not working, so I’ll have most of the week free to help with pet care when needed. I live with my mother and we’ve had a lot of animals over the years. I personally believe that pets are part of the family, and deserve all the love someone can offer. I know every pet and family has unique needs, and I’m perfectly amenable to whatever works for you and your pet.

About: I’ve had my puppy for 10 years and he’s the most precious thing to me, I’ve always loved dogs more than anything and will make sure to take care of your dogs with the most care and give them all the love they deserve:) I’m currently living at home and I am available full time to walk/sit/or visit your dogs. I would be open to taking them out whenever it is needed and am free to take care of them whenever. I have experience with watching family dogs and my own, and will make sure to keep your dogs safe inside your home and make sure they don’t have any chances to get away. I would never want any dogs to get lost so I will always make sure I keep an eye on them, whether that’s outside or playing with them and keeping them company inside.

About: I have a lifetime of experience working with dogs of all breeds and life stages. I've had dog family members all my life. When I was 18 I began dog sitting. For five years I managed two dog daycare and boarding facilities in San Francisco. There, I took care of every breed you could think from 8 wks-17 yrs old. I played with them, took them for walks, fed them, administered medication, and interfaced with the clients. I am very familiar with dog psychology, training, and health. I treat all furry babies as I've treated my own; with empathy, love, and patience. I love nature and have a car, so I would be happy to take your dog child on an outdoor adventure, on or off leash depending on what they are used to and what you are comfortable with. I'm currently working part-time with flexible availability during the week and some weekends. I would be happy to take your dog on a nature or neighborhood walk during the day while you're at work so you come home to a happy pup! I always abide by leash laws and get to know the dog and their personality so I can create a safe, fun environment for them on walks. I will also ask you if they have any special needs to be aware of.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, family, neighbors and referrals for over 30 years. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and ages. I’ve trained puppies and older dogs. I’ll spend quality time with your dogs, love on them, play with them, wash and groom them, administer medications, clean up after them. I can take them for a walk or stay overnight. I can meet all your needs! Caring for and working with pets and animals is my passion and my career choice. I’m available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. I will care for your pets and your home as if they were my own. I’ll keep your home tidy and your pets well cared for. I can meet just about any request. I’m polite, kind, respectful, intuitive, observant, flexible and efficient. I’m easy going, caring, honest, sincere and easy to talk to. My goal is my clients happiness and satisfaction with the services that I provide.

About: I have always had dogs and they make world a better place everyday so I have always lived servicing them.I genuinely enjoy my time with them. Have some spare time for next few weeks all day so I will be very flexible of the schedule and days throughout the week and month. Neighborhood watch, extremely safe neighborhood, will never leave my sight. Being very present and keeping an eye on them and have a gate in front of the front door.

About: I live in El Sobrante (East Bay) and only do IN HOME CARE for dogs and sometimes cats. I've found there is less stress if they stay in their own familiar surroundings with your smells; especially if they are blind or deaf or have elderly med needs.. I also give medications and understand senior dog needs. My small Chihuahua SOPHIE comes with me and gets along with everyone. I am semi-retired and will attend to all your instructions, sleep with your baby if that is what is required. I specialize in small dogs but will consider anything, especially if you are in a bind and need someone ASAP. Call me and let's discuss your needs! Thank you. I'm semi-retired and usually available. I am happy to take your dog to dog parks. Sophie and I go on long walks everyday, sometimes twice. We are active. We will follow your schedule. I've great references for in-home care which is all I do now. I also keep the house clean and will do laundry or other needs while I am there. Long or short stays, just let me know what you need. I've background checks that are stellar, never any incident. I am a professional.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all different breeds and sizes growing up, whether it was cuddles and walks, or full dog-sitting in their homes. Growing up in a small house, I accepted every opportunity I could to be around dogs and take care of them! I work remotely, so I do what I can to stay active during the day. I enjoy going on walks and runs and would love to help you out by taking your dog with me! Communication and accessibility are priorities for me. Since I’ll be in your home, I’ll always ask for your boundaries and any safety concerns you’ll have with me and your furry loved one! I have some experience working with reactive dogs and primarily focus on redirection when walking.

About: About Me I'm a devoted dog lover who specializes in caring for reactive and anxious dogs - the ones that are often misunderstood. Working from home gives me the flexibility to provide the consistent, patient care these special dogs need. My own journey started with my 6.5-year-old lab-pit mix who taught me everything about reactivity, high prey drive, and anxiety. Though she doesn't live with me full-time (which I miss terribly!), she's shown me incredible progress over the years - she's much calmer now, can get along with other dogs with proper introductions, and mostly just wants to nap and be loved. My partner's 6-year-old standard poodle is a certified service dog who's wonderful with dogs of all temperaments and serves as a calming presence. Why I Do This Having lived with a reactive dog, I know the frustration of finding someone who truly understands your dog's needs without judgment. I want to be that person for other dog families - someone who sees past the "difficult" label to the loving dog underneath. My Approach: • I always carry high-value treats during walks to redirect and reward good behavior • I'm experienced with reactivity management and reading dog's body language • I believe in structured socialization: supervised co-existence rather than forced play, with short play sessions (15-30 minutes) followed by decompression time • I avoid dog parks to prevent overwhelming situations and maintain control • I'm comfortable with senior care and daily medication routines My Setup I prefer starting with walks to learn your dog's personality, triggers, and preferences. I take one dog at a time for boarding to ensure your pet gets my complete attention and isn't overwhelmed. My partner's gentle service dog provides a calming role model when appropriate. I plan my schedule weeks in advance, so early booking is appreciated for the best care. Working from home gives me the flexibility to be present throughout the day, which is perfect for providing consistent care and attention. I love having pets around while I work - they actually make my day more enjoyable! I do play sports some evenings, but I always plan my schedule around any pets I'm caring for. If I'm boarding a dog or have a pet sitting commitment, I make sure my evening activities don't interfere, or I'll arrange my sports schedule well in advance so there's no conflict. Your pet's routine and needs always come first. I treat every pet like they're part of my own family. My backyard is completely fenced, so dogs can play safely while I keep a close eye on them - I'm always right there with them, not just watching from a window. I love that my neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, and we're lucky to be just a short walk from the beautiful Bay Trail, which is perfect for dogs who love longer walks or new scenery. Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I make sure they're never left unsupervised.

About: I've had dogs all my life. Now that am retired can spend more time with dogs.Available anytime and we love meeting new dogs and new dog owners I am available anytime these days due to being retired. Have 2 dogs that love meeting and playing with other dogs. We'll make sure your pet is happy Well honestly I would spoil them with lots of attention and lots of treats.. they will always be happy to be with us and well taken care of

About: I grew up with dogs in my household and developed an early love for all animals. My father is an animal behaviorist, and I have picked up certain knowledge from him over the years related to dog and cat psychology. For the past 8 years, I have had experience pet sitting for my parents and family friends while they were on vacation. Now, I am ready to take this experience and serve my local community! My full time job is quite flexible and I am able to work remotely whenever I choose, with reasonable notice. That said, I can put myself in a position where I have no other commitments other than to give your pet the quality care that it deserves. I understand that like humans, each pet has an individualized set of needs. I will take the time to understand your pet's schedule and routine before I start. Furthermore, your pet will miss you while you are away! I will do my best to fill in this gap and provide as much love and support as needed. I will treat your house with the same respect and care as my own home and am committed to giving your furry family member(s) the best care possible.

“Amara has pet sat for me on several occasions over the past few years. She is dependable, responsible and trustworthy. She follows directions and problem solves when needed all while giving loving attention to my pets. I used to use two other women (one in her 30s the other in her 60s) who where just in and out. Amara spent time with my pets especially brushing, playing and talking with them. She sends pictures and I can tell my pets are relaxed and happy. That’s what you want when you are away from them. I highly recommend Amara. She is top on my list.”

Erin C.
“Erin is a thoughtful and dedicated person who cares deeply for the well being of animals. She has looked after my dog and two cats as well as my cousin’s dogs several times, and always does so with not only responsibility but a genuine enthusiasm to be spending time with critters. She’s sensitive to different pets’ needs and personalities (both my dog and my cousin’s are very anxious with some fear aggression) and makes sure that they feel safe around her by paying attention to them and providing the support that each animal needs. She stays calm when faced with unexpected circumstances and is able to problem solve in the moment. She’s fostered more rescue cats and dogs over the years than I can count, including high maintenance bottle-babies. She is one of the people I trust most to look after my animals and know that they are in good hands while she is looking after them.”
