About: I am a loving and friendly dog sitter! I grew up with two dogs, a poodle and a Chihuahua. My family currently has a bull terrier that I love very much. I also take care of my best friend's dog when she is out of town. I love dogs and going on walks so this combination is perfect for me. I am currently a nanny to one of nephews as needed but I am free every day during the summer to take care of your furry babies. I make sure I read their cues of needing water/food, when they need to pee/poop, when they're overstimulated, stressed, or happy. I also make sure to pet them and show them love by scratching them, patting them, and rubbing them. I also follow any schedule that is given to me to make sure they stick to their normal routine.

“I must say, Maikala is truly amazing with my beloved doggie Ellie! Her warm and tender care for my furry baby is beyond words. I am immensely grateful for her kind and loving attention towards Ellie.”

About: Hi! My name is Amara and I have 4 cats! I have grown up with cats in my household since I was little. I fostered kittens and did pet sitting on Rover from 2018-2020 with my family. I pet sit for family friends and am very excited to be back on Rover getting to know all of your furbabies! I just graduated from high school and will be starting college in the late fall. I am available most of this summer and have blocked the dates I will be away. When I am here I am available all day to fit whatever needs you may have I am a very responsible person, at my house I clean our cats litter and take turns feeding them. I am a very observant person and love spending time with pets, whether that be cuddling or playing fetch!

About: I have a lifetime of experience working with dogs of all breeds and life stages. I've had dog family members all my life. When I was 18 I began dog sitting. For five years I managed two dog daycare and boarding facilities in San Francisco. There, I took care of every breed you could think from 8 wks-17 yrs old. I played with them, took them for walks, fed them, administered medication, and interfaced with the clients. I am very familiar with dog psychology, training, and health. I treat all furry babies as I've treated my own; with empathy, love, and patience. I love nature and have a car, so I would be happy to take your dog child on an outdoor adventure, on or off leash depending on what they are used to and what you are comfortable with. I'm currently working part-time with flexible availability during the week and some weekends. I would be happy to take your dog on a nature or neighborhood walk during the day while you're at work so you come home to a happy pup! I always abide by leash laws and get to know the dog and their personality so I can create a safe, fun environment for them on walks. I will also ask you if they have any special needs to be aware of.

About: I live in El Sobrante (East Bay) and only do IN HOME CARE for dogs and sometimes cats. I've found there is less stress if they stay in their own familiar surroundings with your smells; especially if they are blind or deaf or have elderly med needs.. I also give medications and understand senior dog needs. My small Chihuahua SOPHIE comes with me and gets along with everyone. I am semi-retired and will attend to all your instructions, sleep with your baby if that is what is required. I specialize in small dogs but will consider anything, especially if you are in a bind and need someone ASAP. Call me and let's discuss your needs! Thank you. I'm semi-retired and usually available. I am happy to take your dog to dog parks. Sophie and I go on long walks everyday, sometimes twice. We are active. We will follow your schedule. I've great references for in-home care which is all I do now. I also keep the house clean and will do laundry or other needs while I am there. Long or short stays, just let me know what you need. I've background checks that are stellar, never any incident. I am a professional.

About: I have always had dogs and they make world a better place everyday so I have always lived servicing them.I genuinely enjoy my time with them. Have some spare time for next few weeks all day so I will be very flexible of the schedule and days throughout the week and month. Neighborhood watch, extremely safe neighborhood, will never leave my sight. Being very present and keeping an eye on them and have a gate in front of the front door.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all different breeds and sizes growing up, whether it was cuddles and walks, or full dog-sitting in their homes. Growing up in a small house, I accepted every opportunity I could to be around dogs and take care of them! I work remotely, so I do what I can to stay active during the day. I enjoy going on walks and runs and would love to help you out by taking your dog with me! Communication and accessibility are priorities for me. Since I’ll be in your home, I’ll always ask for your boundaries and any safety concerns you’ll have with me and your furry loved one! I have some experience working with reactive dogs and primarily focus on redirection when walking.

About: I grew up in a home with multiple pets at any given time, from the obedient family hunting dogs (Brittany Spaniels) and the rambunctious and playful golden retriever, to the feisty kitten and the cuddly senior cats, and it was always my duty to care for them. From helping train the puppies to feeding the dogs in the morning and night, to taking them out for potty breaks and long walks or swims, I have been the primary caregiver of many wonderful pets throughout my lifetime. I even studied Wildlife Fish and Conservation Biology at UC Davis because my love of animals was so strong, working with various wild and farm animals as a student as well. I used my love of pets and knowledge of how to care for and respect them to start offering friends and family long and short-term pet sitting and walking services as a side hustle. I have enjoyed the work so much that I decided to come to Rover to find even more pets to care for and clients to help! This is my full-time job, so I am able to be flexible and focus entirely on the pets in my care, meaning I am often available 7 days a week with some flexibility. In general, I only pet sit or walk one household of pets at a time, as I do not find it wise to mix groups unless both their owners request it. For example, this could look like only walking your 2 Labradoodles together, returning them home safely and then going to walk another household's German Shepherd. I offer dog walks ranging from 20 minutes to 1+ hours, 7 days a week, 8am to 9pm. I offer dog and cat sitting in the client's home. I offer in-home cat sitting for 1 household of cats at a time. Safety is always my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, I create a secure, pet-friendly environment: no toxic plants, small objects, or open access to food or cleaning supplies. I keep doors and gates locked, use baby gates when needed, and make sure each pet has their own safe, quiet space to relax. For walks, I always double-check that collars, harnesses, and leashes are secure before heading out. I avoid unsafe areas, keep a close eye on surroundings, and never introduce pets to unfamiliar animals unless approved. For cats, I make sure windows are screened and that they can't access dangerous places like open cabinets or appliances. Whether at my home or yours, I follow your pet’s routine, monitor for any signs of stress or illness, and always keep a pet first-aid kit on hand. I also send regular updates, so you can feel confident your furry friend is in safe, loving hands.

“I'm very glad that we met Jenna and she is giving Violet walks on a regular basis. Jenna is very accountable and trust worthy. She is calm and understanding with my often anxious dog. And this week she responded to a last minute request for a walk... I appreciate the level of flexibility and quick responses that she provides.”

About: Growing up I was always fond of dogs and would always want to take care of them and be around them. I was taking care of big and small dogs with no problem. I have a mini pinscher/chihuahua mix dog that is my literal son. I will eventually start school on August 25 but, as of right now I am available at any time during the day, noon, and night. Their safety and comfort is my number one priority. I am responsible for their well being so I make sure they are fed and got their exercise for the day.

About: I’ve had my puppy for 10 years and he’s the most precious thing to me, I’ve always loved dogs more than anything and will make sure to take care of your dogs with the most care and give them all the love they deserve:) I’m currently living at home and I am available full time to walk/sit/or visit your dogs. I would be open to taking them out whenever it is needed and am free to take care of them whenever. I have experience with watching family dogs and my own, and will make sure to keep your dogs safe inside your home and make sure they don’t have any chances to get away. I would never want any dogs to get lost so I will always make sure I keep an eye on them, whether that’s outside or playing with them and keeping them company inside.

“Thank you so much Mariana for being available at short notice! I really appreciate your quick communication. Olive was super happy and calm when I came home. Will definitely be booking with you again! ❤️”

About: I grew up with dogs in my household and developed an early love for all animals. My father is an animal behaviorist, and I have picked up certain knowledge from him over the years related to dog and cat psychology. For the past 8 years, I have had experience pet sitting for my parents and family friends while they were on vacation. Now, I am ready to take this experience and serve my local community! My full time job is quite flexible and I am able to work remotely whenever I choose, with reasonable notice. That said, I can put myself in a position where I have no other commitments other than to give your pet the quality care that it deserves. I understand that like humans, each pet has an individualized set of needs. I will take the time to understand your pet's schedule and routine before I start. Furthermore, your pet will miss you while you are away! I will do my best to fill in this gap and provide as much love and support as needed. I will treat your house with the same respect and care as my own home and am committed to giving your furry family member(s) the best care possible.

“Every pet parent needs a pet sitter who is good with food timings and play and pet hygiene, but rarely do we encounter someone who does all that diligently while also proving our fur babies proper TLC. Tess truly loves animals as family and was practically raised by cats, so she understands their needs and quirks deeply. Tess is also an incredibly organised, diligent, and thoughtful worker so you needn’t worry about your pets at all while she’s taking care of them. Don’t think twice, hire Tess.”
