“Marlette was available for a very last second walk with my dog. She kept safety and exploration at the top of list in choosing a walk. Not only does she reply quickly, she shows up on time, has a beautiful kindness she emanates, and my dog loves her! Highly recommend!”

About: I am a loving and friendly dog sitter! I grew up with two dogs, a poodle and a Chihuahua. My family currently has a bull terrier that I love very much. I also take care of my best friend's dog when she is out of town. I love dogs and going on walks so this combination is perfect for me. I am currently a nanny to one of nephews as needed but I am free every day during the summer to take care of your furry babies. I make sure I read their cues of needing water/food, when they need to pee/poop, when they're overstimulated, stressed, or happy. I also make sure to pet them and show them love by scratching them, patting them, and rubbing them. I also follow any schedule that is given to me to make sure they stick to their normal routine.
About: I have always had dogs and they make world a better place everyday so I have always lived servicing them.I genuinely enjoy my time with them. Have some spare time for next few weeks all day so I will be very flexible of the schedule and days throughout the week and month. Neighborhood watch, extremely safe neighborhood, will never leave my sight. Being very present and keeping an eye on them and have a gate in front of the front door.
About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. As a kid I naturally gravitated to taking on the responsibilities of taking care of them. As an adult I have created a life that allows me to have my dogs with me most of the time, taking them to work etc. I have raised dogs from puppy-hood to providing hospice to them when they are dying, and everything in between. I have dealt with retraining friends dogs from running away and can work with most food aggression issues. I also have experience working with ecollars, giving meds, etc. Dogs are pretty much my favorite people. I currently work part time as a massage therapist( your dogs will get many rub downs if they want them). I usually work afternoons and evenings. I live with 3 other dogs. Which is great if you dog gets along with others. There are also kids here. We usually do long walks in the hilly neighborhood or hike around Pinole Valley Park, which is a couple blocks away. In your home I'd walk and play with them near your house where they have a routine.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep patience, genuine love for dogs of all ages, and my experience with both puppy training and senior dog care. I understand the unique needs of every dog, whether it’s teaching a curious puppy basic commands or gently assisting an older dog with mobility and medication. I stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly with pet parents, and always put the dog’s comfort and safety first. I treat every dog like family, because to me, they are. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I work part-time and have a flexible schedule. I make sure to plan my days around the needs of the pets I care for—whether it’s daily walks, feeding times, play sessions, or giving extra attention and care. Having the time and energy to fully focus on each pet helps me build trust and give them the consistency they need to feel safe and loved. I'm always working with animals. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or my client’s, I always aim to create a calm, safe, and loving environment. In my home, pets get plenty of space to play, rest, and feel comfortable—along with daily walks, fresh water, and a regular feeding schedule. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely to help the pet feel at ease in their familiar space. I keep things tidy, give regular updates, and always prioritize the pet’s well-being, comfort, and happiness.

And this week she responded to a last minute request for a walk... I appreciate the level of flexibility and quick responses that she provides.”

“We have a newborn, so it's a huge relief to have Deborah walk our dog every morning. Our dog Lucie waits for her by the window and is always so excited to see her. That tells me she treats the doggies well and develops a good bond with them! Deborah is communicative and easy to work with. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with dogs in my household and developed an early love for all animals. My father is an animal behaviorist, and I have picked up certain knowledge from him over the years related to dog and cat psychology. For the past 8 years, I have had experience pet sitting for my parents and family friends while they were on vacation. Now, I am ready to take this experience and serve my local community! My full time job is quite flexible and I am able to work remotely whenever I choose, with reasonable notice. That said, I can put myself in a position where I have no other commitments other than to give your pet the quality care that it deserves. I understand that like humans, each pet has an individualized set of needs. I will take the time to understand your pet's schedule and routine before I start. Furthermore, your pet will miss you while you are away! I will do my best to fill in this gap and provide as much love and support as needed. I will treat your house with the same respect and care as my own home and am committed to giving your furry family member(s) the best care possible.
“Daniel was amazing with Kevin and I can tell he was well cared for on his walk! Kevin came back with his tail wagging and that makes me so happy! I will absolutely continue to have Daniel come get some of Kevin’s extra energy out of his system!! 10/10 would recommend!!”

I’m patient, reliable, and fully committed to keeping pets safe, happy, and well-loved while you’re away. Pet care fits perfectly into my current routine. I just graduated from college and am currently applying for full-time jobs, which gives me a flexible schedule to focus on dog walking and pet sitting. Spending time with dogs not only helps support me financially, but it also brings me a lot of joy. I genuinely love being around animals, and I’m committed to giving each pet the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. For walks, I always make sure leashes and gear are secure, follow any specific routes or routines requested, and give pets time to sniff, explore, and get the exercise they need. About: I have been a pet owner for majority of my life, from training puppies to taking care of my senior dog. I have also been dog sitting for family and friends these past 2 years and decided to expand my services. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to help provide pet care to your fur baby whether it’s helping with walks, bathroom breaks or boarding. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide dependable, personalized care and clear communication, ensuring both you and your pet enjoy a stress-free experience.
About: I grew up in a home with multiple pets at any given time, from the obedient family hunting dogs (Brittany Spaniels) and the rambunctious and playful golden retriever, to the feisty kitten and the cuddly senior cats, and it was always my duty to care for them. From helping train the puppies to feeding the dogs in the morning and night, to taking them out for potty breaks and long walks or swims, I have been the primary caregiver of many wonderful pets throughout my lifetime. I even studied Wildlife Fish and Conservation Biology at UC Davis because my love of animals was so strong, working with various wild and farm animals as a student as well. I used my love of pets and knowledge of how to care for and respect them to start offering friends and family long and short-term pet sitting and walking services as a side hustle. I have enjoyed the work so much that I decided to come to Rover to find even more pets to care for and clients to help! This is my full-time job, so I am able to be flexible and focus entirely on the pets in my care, meaning I am often available 7 days a week with some flexibility. In general, I only pet sit or walk one household of pets at a time, as I do not find it wise to mix groups unless both their owners request it. For example, this could look like only walking your 2 Labradoodles together, returning them home safely and then going to walk another household's German Shepherd. I offer dog walks ranging from 20 minutes to 1+ hours, 7 days a week, 8am to 9pm. I offer dog and cat sitting in the client's home. I offer in-home cat sitting for 1 household of cats at a time. Safety is always my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, I create a secure, pet-friendly environment: no toxic plants, small objects, or open access to food or cleaning supplies. I keep doors and gates locked, use baby gates when needed, and make sure each pet has their own safe, quiet space to relax. For walks, I always double-check that collars, harnesses, and leashes are secure before heading out. I avoid unsafe areas, keep a close eye on surroundings, and never introduce pets to unfamiliar animals unless approved. For cats, I make sure windows are screened and that they can't access dangerous places like open cabinets or appliances. Whether at my home or yours, I follow your pet’s routine, monitor for any signs of stress or illness, and always keep a pet first-aid kit on hand. I also send regular updates, so you can feel confident your furry friend is in safe, loving hands.
About: I live in El Sobrante (East Bay) and only do IN HOME CARE for dogs and sometimes cats. I also give medications and understand senior dog needs. My small Chihuahua SOPHIE comes with me and gets along with everyone. I am semi-retired and will attend to all your instructions, sleep with your baby if that is what is required. I specialize in small dogs but will consider anything, especially if you are in a bind and need someone ASAP. Call me and let's discuss your needs! Thank you. I'm semi-retired and usually available. I am happy to take your dog to dog parks. Sophie and I go on long walks everyday, sometimes twice. We are active. We will follow your schedule. I've great references for in-home care which is all I do now. I also keep the house clean and will do laundry or other needs while I am there. Long or short stays, just let me know what you need. I've background checks that are stellar, never any incident. I am a professional.
