“Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. About: I’ve had pets of my own for more than 30 years and have extensive hands-on experience caring for animals. I’ve fostered pets for two local rescue organizations and have also volunteered extensively with a well-known local rescue, including at mobile adoption events, screening potential adopters, and conducting home visits. My dogs are socialized and crate-trained, and I also have a separate pet room where my cats can stay if needed, so I’m able to keep animals separated when appropriate. I know that every pet has its own routine and comfort level, so I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and anything else that helps your pet feel at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m equally happy to follow their usual routine and keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while you’re away.

“I have an anxious senior pup who hasn't spent much time apart from my partner and I since adopting him a few months ago (in large part due to his anxiety). I did a pre-meeting with Zoe to make sure it would be a good fit for the pup and then we completed the booking. While my pup still let me know later in the day he was mad I left him, when I picked him up he was happy and bouncing around, but also perfectly happy to go back and hang with her. I think this was the most positive experience possible for Rick and am hopeful the positive experience might help him towards being less anxious when we leave him in the future (every positive experience helps I hope!). I would and will definitely book again with her as long as she's available and accepts him again! Also to note, she was very flexible with our pick up time which I appreciated - I had mentioned I might be able to pick the dog up early, and then when I was able to I messaged her that day and picked him up 3 hours early to hopefully make it easier on Rick. That for sure saved me some time instead of needing to pick him up and hitting rush hour on my way home. She was also very helpful and provided feedback to me on Rick's behavior at my request so I have a good handle on how his anxiety and overall behavior is progressing as we try to work through it. About: Our family loves four-legged friends! As doggie parents for 20 years, we have also taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages from puppies to seniors. We do have a 2.5 year old Beagle and ask that your dog is well-socialized and ready to interact with our dog. That said, we only board one dog at time, so we can shower love and care on your dog. We can easily fit in morning and evening walks dependent on your dog's routine. Our home has a doggie door to a fenced backyard, so your dog has easy access to the bathroom and a play area. We are also less than 5 minutes from our neighborhood dog park, so there are opportunities to exercise and run your dog as needed. If your dog eats a raw or cooked food diet, we can also accommodate those dietary needs. Should you dog need continued training or administering medicine, we can do that too!
