“Jeannette and her family took great care of my very shy and timid dog. It was such a relief knowing that my baby girl was in such caring hands. Would highly recommend Jeanette and her family to take care of your fur babies. Thank you again!”

“My dog had a wonderful time! Bonnie was incredibly accommodating and caring, and did a great job with a working breed — they had lovely walks and plenty of playtime together. I loved getting pictures and videos throughout the day, such a nice touch. She also sent updates on eating and snacking. Highly recommend for daycare!”

“We had such a great first experience with Sara! She was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I felt very comfortable leaving Fifi in her care. I really appreciated the updates and photos throughout the day, as well as how attentive she was to Fifi and her individual needs. It was wonderful to hear that she had fun with Sara’s family, including her sweet dog Shadow, and was getting lots of attention and love throughout the day. Fifi was happy and comfortable when I picked her up, which means everything to me. I would absolutely feel good about leaving her with Sara again and I look forward to Fifi’s future stays with her!”

“Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

“We have been bringing Luna to Ali most days this week for few hours of doggie daycare each day. Luna has anxiety and Ali has been very sweet and patient with her as she gets adjusted to being in a new place. Thank you so much, Ali!”

“Loved all the photos!! Matthew and Van Joseph were so patient and caring with my nervous gal. It was obvious that Ramona felt comfortable there - she’s been super leash reluctant, but they got her to go on 2 walks during daycare!! Huge success. They were super communicative and great. Can’t wait to bring Ramona back and watch her settle in even more :)”

“Mariola was an awesome sitter! She was very responsive to our puppy, Pao Pao's, needs and went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. If you're looking for a responsible and loving sitter, Mariola is the one!”

“William is great with Louie! He treated Louie just the way he cares for his own fur babies. He was available on short notice, and sent me pictures of Louie while I was at work. That really put me at ease knowing that Louie is having a great tome.:)”

“Sylvia was amazing! My poor pooch Blanca had just gotten an Elizabethan collar for the first time because of a hot spot on her cheek. She was extra scared during her daycare with Sylvia and Sylvia made sure to give her plenty of space during her stay. Sylvia was just so kind and understanding the whole time! I so appreciated her warmth and hope she’ll accept Blanca for a future stay. Thanks Sylvia!”

“Anchisa is wonderful with dogs! She managed Joey’s puppy antics beautifully and kept in touch during the day with frequent updates and photo. Joey was clearly happy and completely at ease with her and her husband. Highly recommended!”

“Chen and his family all supported my dog at day care and providing top notch care, updates, and photographs of her stay! Highly recommend to anyone looking for great sitters who LOVE dogs and we will absolutely be coming back to see them!”

“We could not have asked for a better first Rover experience! Alisson was attentive to our dog's needs and made him feel welcome in her home - enough to fall asleep on her lap! She was very communicative and flexible and would definitely recommend for your doggy daycare needs”

“As a new pet sitter for Kona, she was happy when we picked her up and that’s an indication to us that she was treated well. Emma provided photos and update how Kona was doing. Her house/yard is in a nice area of Vallejo and happy to see it was clean and tidy. Given her already stellar reviews, we already know that we will be reaching out to her again.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. I’m patient with shy or anxious dogs and understand that some pets need extra time to feel comfortable and build trust. I’m attentive to feeding routines, walks, playtime, and keeping pets safe and comfortable. I treat every pet with care and try to make them feel at home while their owners are away. I work from home every day, so I have plenty of time to give your dog attention, companionship, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. I’m able to be flexible with feeding, walking, and other routines based on your dog’s needs. I have a yard where dogs can spend time outside, play, and get some fresh air. I also regularly take dogs to nearby parks for walks and exercise. I’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they’re with me.
“Jessica is a natural with dogs! She is very thoughtful and detail oriented. I have 2 seniors with special health needs and she is very attentive and reliable. My dogs are anxious with changes to their routine but after a few days with Jessica they were happy to rush into her place when I dropped off, and tried to follow her back to her place instead of getting in the car to leave after pick up. I definitely recommend Jessica!”

Asatur is our new #1 for doggy daycare. He has the perfect setup for dogs to have safe, indoor/outdoor access throughout the day. He is knowledgeable about dog behaviors and we felt very comfortable with having Jax stay with him. Your dog will love staying here!

Ali has been taking care of my dog for years and has always been nothing short of amazing! We have used her for both doggy daycare and overnight stays when we’ve gone out of town and will continue to use her as often as possible. She’s very easy to communicate with, has helped with dispensing medication, and our dog is always so incredibly excited to see her. To me that says it all. Highly recommend Ali’s services!

Nadine was amazing with Lily. This was my first time using the app, and she made the whole experience very easy and comfortable. She kept me updated during the day, sent me pictures, and reassured me that Lily was doing well. I also forgot to bring Lily’s food, and Nadine kindly provided food for her, which I really appreciated. Most importantly, Lily got plenty of playtime and socialization with other dogs, which was exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely book with her again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pinole commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
