“Victoria is great with our elder cat Lola! She is always on time and gives Lola all of the love she needs. Communication is great. We are so happy we found someone we can trust.”

“Jackalyn is an excellent pet sitter. She took care of our cat while we spent time at the beach. Not only did she make sure our cat was fed, but she also played with her, opened and closed the window blinds for her, and even brushed her. On top of that, she fed our fish and managed the aquarium light schedule in the morning and evening. Jackalyn demonstrated a genuine love for animals and consistently went above and beyond in caring for our pets. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“I’m very pleased to have found Caitlyn to help with my 3 kitties. One requires an inhaler, which is not easy to administer since he hates it, but she was very patient with him making sure he got the treatment he needs. My cats can be shy, but I can tell from the pictures that they enjoyed Caitlyn’s company. I’m grateful to have someone I can trust to help with my sweet boys!”

“Shirley is so great with my old boy, Hank!! She’s always on time and makes sure to keep me up to date on everything so I don’t have to worry a bit while I’m gone. She really cares for my boy, goes above and beyond and I never have to worry about his well being in her care!”

“We had such a great experience with Faviana! She helped us out for three days and did an amazing job. My puppy loved her right away, and she kept me updated with excellent communication the whole time. She also made sure the house was safe and secure before leaving each visit, which gave me so much peace of mind. I’m very happy with her care and will definitely be rebooking with her many more times!”

“Evelyn is so reliable and timely. She is on time and always sends pictures of everything she is doing. You do not have to worry about your pups while you’re away because they are taken care of! Thank you Evelyn!!”

About: I’m experienced with caring for pets of all ages and needs, including senior dogs and pets requiring extra attention. I’m patient, dependable, and always make sure each pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for like they’re my own. Pet sitting fits well into my schedule because I work from home and have the flexibility to create my own hours. This allows me to be available and give pets the time, attention, and care they need. I’m also looking to make a little extra money while doing something I genuinely enjoy. I care for pets by keeping their normal routines, providing plenty of attention, and making sure they feel comfortable and safe. Whether I’m in my home or a client’s home, I focus on following instructions, keeping their space clean, and giving each pet the care and love they’re used to.

“Brianna watched my fur baby Chella for a week and followed all my instructions well. We received detailed summaries and lots of photos! Very professional and kind. We will be rebooking in the future for sure! ☺️”

“Certainly the best decision we've done for our babies; they loved Katy and her husband George who we met during our meet & greet. She was attentive, loving and very communiative which we love when we are away from home. Looking forward to booking Kathleen again in the future.”

“Ava did a wonderful job taking care of our 2 dogs and cat. She sent lots of pictures and loved on our pets while we were gone. Will definitely be reaching out again for our pets!”

About: I have grown up with dogs of all shapes and sizes my entire life! I enjoy being around animals and love to take care of them. I own two female German shorthaired pointers who have TONS of energy! And that’s what I love most about them. I know how important it is to meet all animals exactly where they’re at temperament wise. I truly enjoy being around animals…more than humans sometimes! I look forward to getting to walk or play with your fur babies! I work a hybrid job, so I am remote 2-3 times a week where I am fully home all day with my pups. On the days I go into the office, my partner comes home during lunch to let our dogs out. On weekends, I am home full time as well. I have a big fenced in backyard perfect for activities! My own pups love to run around and play fetch back there. Dogs are allowed in furniture and to sleep in the bed in my house.
“Amanda is simply wonderful. She was able to accommodate a last minute time change request without problems and is always so patient with my dogs (especially one who does not like to go outside).”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Heathrow
1st day back. At 10:40am I heard Gizmo meowing. He was sitting by the front door looking out. This was the time Caitlyn visited everyday. He was obviously looking for her. That pretty much says it all. She took great care of him and kept us informed every day.

Mary Amelia was a fantastic sitter for my two cats! They took to her right away, and I could tell even from the pictures that they were fans of her. She didn’t need to, but she washed the food bowls before she left the last time. Thank you! I 100% recommend her, and I hope I’ll get to request her again soon! Thanks so much!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Heathrow. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
