“Peter has come over several times and made quick friends with our dogs. 🐾 This is the first time someone outside of family has cared for them. A member of our pack is dog aggressive and fearful. Peter worked his magic to make this dog feel comfortable, calm, and loved. 💕 He was also super patient with me and helped me feel comfortable with a "stranger" taking care of our babies. During his visits, he followed all directions and asked questions to make sure the dogs got great care. Peter is such a friendly soul that he's no longer a stranger, but a friend to us all. 🙏 I cannot thank Peter enough for his outstanding service. We already have him scheduled to pet- and house-sit for 2 weeks. ☺️”

“I met Becca last week before this visit and had a great first visit going over the details of care for my Geriatric Cat. Becca communicated with me every step of the way and took pictures throughout her visit. I know Sneakers enjoyed the attention. When I got home, he was sleeping in his box and everything looked great! Thank you so much for loving on Sneakers.”

“Dan was the best. I felt that he went above and beyond to give the kitties everything they needed. We had great communication. The pictures were awesome. If he had a question, he was quick to ask to make sure things were done properly. He also went above and beyond with household chores. He was quick to volunteer to help. ie. bring my plants in from the cold. So much appreciated. He is very personable. I will definitely use him in the future.”

“My cats absolutely love Kellye! She took the time to get to know each of them, learning their quirks and giving them so much love while we are away! As a pet sitter myself, I know the importance of finding someone you can truly trust with your animals and I am happy I found that in Kellye!! 🥰”

About: I have grown up with dogs of all shapes and sizes my entire life! I enjoy being around animals and love to take care of them. I own two female German shorthaired pointers who have TONS of energy! And that’s what I love most about them. I know how important it is to meet all animals exactly where they’re at temperament wise. I truly enjoy being around animals…more than humans sometimes! I look forward to getting to walk or play with your fur babies! I work a hybrid job, so I am remote 2-3 times a week where I am fully home all day with my pups. On the days I go into the office, my partner comes home during lunch to let our dogs out. On weekends, I am home full time as well. I have a big fenced in backyard perfect for activities! My own pups love to run around and play fetch back there. Dogs are allowed in furniture and to sleep in the bed in my house.
“Christopher did a wonderful job taking care of our older cat for the week while we were away. He went above and beyond in all aspects and our cat was so lucky to be taken care of by Christopher!”

“I will definitely book with Lori again next time we need a sitter for Archie and Buoy. I had a sitter lined up that backed out at the last minute and Lori stepped right in as soon as I requested services. She and her daughters were at my home less than 30 minutes later to meet us and go over everything for the drop ins. She sent great photos and both my crazy dogs looked very happy. She even cleaned up a pile of cardboard they decided to destroy for fun. Highly recommend Lori and her daughters!”

About: I’ve taken care of family pets since I was a young teenager and have since taken care of my own fur babies for the past 8 years. I also have veterinary experience as I currently am a Veterinary Assistant with 3 years of experience. You can rest assured that your pets are safe with me and would be treated as my own. Allow me to alleviate a possible stressor in your travels by being a trusted pet sitter for your fur family. I understand from first hand experience with my own that each fur baby can be different and require additional needs, I am willing and capable of catering the service I provide to be as best as it can for your particular fur baby. Comfortable and experienced with Dogs, Cats, and some smaller exotics (Guinea Pigs, Gerbils, etc). I currently work full-time at a vet clinic, however, I am fully available Wednesdays and Sundays with 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month being available as well. Even with work, I am able to make early morning, afternoon, and evening trips during my work days as well, if needed, as I start at 8am, take lunch 12-1pm and then am off by 6pm. For boarding stays, your fur-baby will be in their own dedicated room that will contain their food, water, bedding, and any additional necessities you’d like them to have with them. Mondays and Saturdays are the only days they would be by themselves in their room, however, they would still be taken out in the morning (before 7:30am), during my lunch break (12-1pm), and after work (6pm). The rest of the week, my partner (who also has been in the veterinary field) works from home in the same room your fur-baby would stay in and will be assisting with monitoring them while I’m away for work. I have experience with strict and more relaxed feeding instructions and specifications. I also have experience giving medications as well as bathing. From fenced backyards to leashed potty-breaks, I have you covered. While I have my own fur-babies, you can rest assure that your own baby will be kept in their dedicated room while staying for boarding with us (unless specifically given approval to mingle with my fur-babies during potty-time/play-time)
“Zachary is wonderful! He took excellent care of our pups when we needed extra hands. His communication skills are great, he is timely, and very courteous and professional. We will use him again.”

“Jennifer was awesome! She showed up right on time, took such great care of our pups, and didn’t miss a beat cleaning up after them. She kept us in the loop the whole time, which we really appreciated. We’d definitely book her again!”

“She took great care of Nudy while I was away. I really appreciated the detailed updates, photos, and notes after each visit. Nudy looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and I could tell she gave him lots of attention. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve lived with many different animals all my life. I’ve had horses, dogs, cats, hermit crabs. I have always been a major animal lover and will always at some point in my life have an animal of some sort! I’m currently a first time mom and I’m working with my mom part time through the week so she can watch my baby while I get back out working again. I am usually willing to work any time usually in the mornings and afternoons. I usually when I first get to a clients home is take the dog out or empty the litter to get that out of the way. Then I’ll do a walk through incase of any messes, then do medications if needed along with giving food and filling up water. And last but not least have the most time for play time!!
“Cristen was absolutely wonderful with my 11 year old English Bulldog.. she sent daily pics to make sure I knew Rosco was in good hands. She also have him lots of love and snuggles.. I would highly recommend her to take care of your doggies.”
“I’ll always recommend Jessica! It’s hard to come by someone you can trust to come into your home and take care of your animals, and she always puts my mind at ease knowing my dog is getting well taken care of!”

“Melissa took such great care of my fur babies! She spent a lot of time with them during her check in and made sure they got a long walk and plenty of time in the backyard. She also brought a package in for me, which was very thoughtful. She added super cute photos of the pups that I loved. Will definitely be using Melissa’s services again!”

“Another great weekend away while Debbie watched my fur babies. She spends so much time with them and I can tell they love her from all the photos. Thank you for always being awesome!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Winter Springs
1st day back. At 10:40am I heard Gizmo meowing. He was sitting by the front door looking out. This was the time Caitlyn visited everyday. He was obviously looking for her. That pretty much says it all. She took great care of him and kept us informed every day.
Luisa is timely and we’ve used her twice to check in on our kitties. One of our kitties can be a bit territorial so we are grateful that she is so fearless and willing to check in on him. She sends us great photos and updates on how the kitties are doing while we are gone

Morgan was great; she was timely with her visits and make sure the needed tasks for my cat were done. Even though my cat stayed hidden for the majority of her visits, she made it a point to stay for the time, in the hopes my cat would come out from hiding and get to know her. Will use Morgan again in the future!

This is my second time booking with Addie and couldn’t recommend her more. I am confident that she will be reliable, respectful, and loving with my cat. I appreciate that she stays for the whole time making sure the animal feels the love and attention, and she is excellent with her updates and quick responses!

This was my first time using a sitter and Jessica was amazing! My three boy cats were well taken care of and she made sure to send some great pics of them while I was away. Even the scaredy-cat came out eventually and got some treats. Jessica communicated each visit and how everything went which helped me feel secure knowing someone super caring was watching over them. I will definitely book her again for my next trip!

I met Becca last week before this visit and had a great first visit going over the details of care for my Geriatric Cat. Becca communicated with me every step of the way and took pictures throughout her visit. I know Sneakers enjoyed the attention. When I got home, he was sleeping in his box and everything looked great! Thank you so much for loving on Sneakers.

The peace of mind Nina gives us when we’re away is everything, I love that she not only just feeds them but she also plays with them, gives them affection and was even kind enough to clean up after their messes/accidents. We’re thankful to have found a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!

Madison did drop in visits for our cat during a long weekend - she was reliable, responsive, and thoughtful! Our super shy kitty warmed up to her right away and I was glad to know he was getting some love and attention while we were gone. We would absolutely ask her to come back again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Winter Springs. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
