“Caroline kept Koda for a week and sent pictures and videos at least once a day. Koda takes a little while to adjust to a new environment, which means he didn’t eat at first. Caroline went to the store and bought him chicken to add to his food, which got him eating. Not only did Koda have a fenced in yard to run around, but they also went on walks. I would recommend Caroline and will book her in the future knowing Koda will be well taken care of.”

My family and I are located in the Mandarin neighborhood in Longwood and our multi-generational home is the perfect spot for your pet to stay while you are away! Ozzie is an English golden retriever who cannot resist a snuggle. He is very friendly with other dogs and people and while he likes to run and play, he isn't a fan of the heat. You will find him inside the a/c snoozing on the tile or trying to be a lap dog! He loves to snuggle with his new puppy, Liberty. Liberty joined our family this past November, 2025. She is a mini-dachshund and LOVES to play with other pups. She has two, very large, big brothers and so naturally, she thinks she is a big dog and runs around playing with the rest of the pack. Bella & Sox are our cats who get along with dogs, but they go ninja when we have doggy visitors. About my yard Dogs love our large fenced back yard as it is the perfect place to run, play and explore. We have a dog door that leads from our family room to the enclosed patio and fenced in pool, and another door that leads out into the yard. We try to teach every pup how to use the dog doors, however, since we are home 85% of the time, someone is usually around to let the dogs out at lease every 2 hours or less. When your pet stays with us, they are our focus! As a stay at home mom who homeschools, I am lucky to be home 85% of the time with my daughter, our pets and our guests. My husband also has a flexible schedule and works from home part time and loves to spend time out back playing with the dogs. My parents also have very flexible schedules and are often home when we are out. I would say that someone is home 90% of the time with the dogs. Our home is very pet friendly and a doggy dream come true. Our couches are covered for protection and we allow pets on the furniture (if ok'd by you!) and we have lots of comfy dog beds and blankets to share. Retractable fences have been installed so that we can keeps pets safe by keeping them out of the kitchen during cooking and meal times and away from the front door so we don't have any escapees. The back yard is fully fenced with lots of room to run, explore and play and we allow pups to swim in our fenced in pool during the hot summer months or play in a doggy splash pad. We make sure to ALWAYS feed all animals separately in closed off areas to avoid any altercations and we give lots of hugs. I do discourage bringing toys as it often causes fights. We have balls to share!

“I made a last minute decision to have my pup go to doggy day care for the week while my other two dogs recovered from surgeries. Denys responded to my request quickly and was able to accommodate our times which I really didn't think anyone would do. She is a great person and my dog loves her and her whole family. Denys did a great job keeping up with Furia's potty training, I think she may have actually gotten my pup to be better about going outside. I never worried about my dog and any time I did text I got a quick response with plenty of updates. About: Paws & Claws Pet Care of Lake Mary I am mom to an adorable 18lb pup who I raised using the positive reinforcement method. In addition, I've always had pets since I was young. On most days I am currently available for drop-in visits from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday I have more flexibility. In June 2026 my schedule changes to Thursday and Sunday with open flexibility and 9:30 am to 10:00 am on Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Saturday. Safety is a priority for me. For boarding, dogs must have updated vaccines, be clean, and free of fleas, worms, mites, etc. During boarding with more than one dog, I always make sure that the new dog gets along well with the other dogs before the pet parent leaves. It’s best to know your dog’s personality. If your dog shows signs that they do not respect other pets boundaries even during play then group boarding may not be the best fit. For everyone's safety, health, and happiness, if the dog does not get along then the pet parent may need to make back up arrangements. For best practices, parents should always have a back up option in case things don't work out or if there is an emergency. To prevent the risk of dogs not getting along, the pet parent can offer to buyout the sitter at their full capacity. Other best practices to consider: For pups who are sensitive to minor sounds, it may be best to book them with a sitter who lives in a house versus an apartment. For dogs who are prone to potty accidents or excessive drooling, it may be best to book them in a home that has wood floors versus full carpeting. Pups who don't like to share attention would match best with sitters who except one dog at a time. Pets who have extremely high energy may be happiest with sitters who have a fenced in yard for them to run around freely.

“My wonderful, little 10-year-old Maltese came to us 2 years ago. While being lovable, quiet, happy, he also had panic attacks. He is much better now, but occasionally one does slip in with loud noises or new situations. This year, we decided to try leaving him with sitters. I share the panic information and give them information on how to handle a situation. With Debra, after the first sitting, he was calm and not in panic when I picked him up. And after the second sitting, he came bouncing up to me quite happy. This is quite an improvement for him. I’m not sure what Debra’s technique is, but her calm nature means she is the sitter I will use.”

About: While I may not have years of experience like some, my love for animals does not fall short. I have taken care of dogs, big and small. Some with dietary restrictions and rigid feeding routines and others with a more lax regimen. I have house sat/pet sat and stayed in the owner’s home on multiple occasions. I’ve taken care of four dogs of various sizes at once, done drop-ins to feed/change water and let the puppers out for friends and family members, and I’ve also stopped by to do something as simple as a quick walk. Whatever you need, I can do it! I can assure you that I will treat your pet as my own. I currently work full time at a law firm in downtown but I live in Sanford. I have a reliable car and I don’t mind driving. I can pet sit/house sit on weekdays but I have work so it would be morning care and evening/night. I can also take a midday break if needed. I am off on the weekends so I will be able to be there full time. Depending on the owner, I have put pets into their crates when leaving the house or at night for sleeping but I have also let them roam freely, if the owner allows it.

I take my dog for a walk every day to my apartment's dog run where we play for at least 30 minutes. If your dog is staying overnight with me, I can make sure to take your dog to the dog run when it's cooler, right before sunset. I can watch cats in my apartment, too.

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have always loved caring for animals. I had a French Bulldog for about 7 years, which gave me plenty of experience with the day-to-day care, attention, and companionship dogs need. I also currently have a cat who I’ve cared for over the past 2 years. I’m comfortable with different personalities and love getting to know each pet’s individual needs. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a flexible schedule and enjoy getting outside and staying active. I’m able to make time for walks throughout the week and can work with different schedules and routines. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine and any specific instructions you provide. Before heading out for a walk, I’ll make sure they’re comfortable and have everything they need. During walks, I’ll keep a close eye on them, use the leash and equipment you provide, and make sure they’re safe and happy. About: I’ve had fur babies for as long as I’ve been alive ranging from tiny chihuahuas to large pitties. I love all animals, but have the most experience with dogs. I’m a sucker for a good cuddle or kisses, as I’m sure you can tell from my pictures! I’m available for drop in visits and dog walking visits and would love to have some fun with your pet :) I’m currently working full time Monday-Thursday, but am available on those nights if needed for drop-in visits and at anytime on Fridays and the weekend. I’ll treat your fur baby as if it were my own and provide the love and care they deserve and more! About: I've taken care of pets my whole life, including giving meds, changing diapers for those in heat, taken care of pets is cathartic for me and I love them. I'm a retired law enforcement professional looking to help make a difference for families knowing their pets are well-cared for and loved while their parents are away. Since retired, I have all the time in the world to do something more fun! I will do whatever your pet may need and want. I'm patient and kind, and know the feeling when having to drop fur babies off at someone house. I want to make sure to earn your confidence! Whatever instructions are given, I will provide exactly. I also try to play with them, walk them, ensure they feel safe. I have a safe non-smoking home with a great lanai to look at the conservation areas, and make sure there are no impediments to their safety and happiness.
About: I grew up with cats and dogs my whole life and shared responsibility for taking care of them with my siblings. I now have my own fuzzball - Miso (Brown tabby cat). I also frequently watch my close friends, neighbors, and family's pets while they’re out of town or just need a little 'me' time away from their energetic gremlins - always being sure to give them lots of love while their person is away. I have helped my closest friend train her Husky/German Shepard mix puppy do simple commands like: sit, stay, paw and most importantly potty training. I do have experience with younger animals so I can help out with training and I of course have loads of patience, experience, and love to care for senior pets too! I have a younger cat that is still adjusting to dogs but doesn't mind keeping to herself on her kitty castle (cat tower/tree) or in a separate room.
