About: I have experience caring for reactive dogs and elderly kitties in addition to fish aquariums and birds in New Orleans and SF Bay Area for more than 6 years. I am a substitute teacher based in SF and have a lot of flexibility to care for your pet anywhere in San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley! Hopefully, your location is close to a public transport or bikeable. I enjoy pet-sitting because I love animals but I can't have one where I live. Spending time with you pet is both fun and a privilege for me! Available on short notice, during weekends and holidays! I'm a substitute teacher in SF and a university lecturer at SF State University during the school year. My jobs are flexible and allow me to pick up pet-siting gigs across bay area easily! I'm available weekends, major holidays, summer, and week days! I care for pets at a client's house. Normally, I make sure I understand the logistics of a job before accepting it to make sure I can do a safe and secure job caring for your pet!

About: With over 12 years of experience caring for dogs, I bring a calm, respectful, and attentive approach to every pup I meet. I started out as a teen, pet sitting for family friends, and quickly became the go-to dog sitter among my own circle as I got older. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters, gaining experience with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments—including seniors and shy rescues. I understand that every dog is different: some need high-energy play and stimulation, while others need a gentle pace and plenty of quiet companionship. I focus on building trust with each dog by meeting them where they are—whether that means tossing a ball in the yard, going for long walks, or simply giving them space and comfort while you're away. I’m currently working remotely part time so I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I’m available for housesitting, drop-in’s, and walking. Whether I’m dropping in, staying overnight, or taking your pet for a walk, their safety and comfort are always my top priority. I take the time to get to know each pet’s routine, personality, and boundaries so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. I’m attentive to details like locked doors, leash safety, proper feeding, and making sure medications (if needed) are given correctly. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and routines, leaving things just as I found them, and making sure your pets feel secure in their environment. I keep things calm, clean, and consistent, so your pets feel safe and cared for while you’re away.

“Linda was a great sitter for my affection starved cat. She made sure he was fed twice a day, and had given him plenty of human time. She sent photos as well. I highly recommend Linda for caring after your pets. Very happy indeed.”

“Megan was fantastic! She stayed in our house last minute with two dogs and a cat and was so communicative! She left the house cleaner than she needed to:) cannot reccomend more highly! So responsible!”

About: While I’m new to dog sitting, I bring a lot of patience, a love for animals, and a strong willingness to learn. I’m dependable and will follow your care instructions closely. I may not have years of experience, but I’ll treat your dog like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Currently, I have a flexible summer schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. At the end of August, I’ll return to full-time work as a paraprofessional, but I’ll still be available during the evenings and weekends. I’m committed to working with your schedule to ensure your pet gets consistent, loving care. Although I don’t have much experience yet, I make up for it with a genuine love for animals, a careful approach, and a strong willingness to learn. I follow all instructions closely to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable. Whether in my home or yours, I’ll provide gentle care, attention, and respect for your pet’s routine and your space.

Nina M.
“Nina took care of my two young cats and I had a wonderful experience with their skills and expertise in cat sitting. All the instructions for feeding and cleaning were followed, my cats clearly loved them, and I returned to a house with two very happy kitties. I highly recommend Nina as an experienced, kind, and attentive petsitter.”

Surekha B.
“Surekha is truly one of a kind. She’s cared for my little zoo—four dogs (Emmy, Buster, Tiny, and Twinkle) and one very particular cat (Bobby Socks)—many times, and every visit has been seamless. She’s calm, patient, and somehow manages to give each pet the individual attention they need. What really stood out to me was how she connected with Tiny, my shy Min Pin. Surekha never pushed her, just showed up with quiet consistency—and over time, Tiny completely came out of her shell. Now she wags and runs up to her like they’ve been best friends forever. I trust Surekha completely and always feel at ease knowing my pets are safe, happy, and genuinely cared for in her hands. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their sitter!”

Excelsior pet parents share their Rover experiences
Rebecca was absolutely fantastic! She took great care of our puppy, Willa, as well as our house. We loved getting updates and photos and, most importantly, knowing that Willa was in great hands. Can’t wait to hire her again.

We love Fadi! He watched our dog and our cat for a weekend. Both love him. He asks great questions and makes sure the pets are well taken care of.

Timothy was super thoughtful, communicative, and of course great with our dog! This was our first time hiring a pet setter and Timothy made the process really easy and reassuring. During our initial meet and greet, he asked questions that made it clear he was really interested in learning about Ludo’s personality/needs and how to best take care of him based on those specifics. When our schedules shifted and one of us came home early, he was adaptable to that change. I’d 100% work with Timothy again. 🌻

Regina was great with our anxious dog. She sent regular updates and photos. We came home to a relaxed and happy dog. She also left the house cleaner than we left it. I will be rebooking asap! Thanks Regina!

Xochitl did an amazing job house sitting and watching our dog, Willow, for a week while we were away. She sent pictures and updates all the time which were so fun to see. Xochitl also did a great job with the house and helping us out with watering the plants :) Would definitely recommend for any house sitting needs and dog walking needs!

Eric is our go to pet/house sitter and we’ve booked with him several times. We are always thrilled with his care! With this most recent house sitting stay as always, everything was perfect! From the consistent updates to the thoughtful care and spotless home, we felt completely at ease the entire time. Our 2 cats were clearly happy and well loved, and we came home to relaxed, happy, and content furballs. Eric is incredibly reliable and kind, thank you Eric for everything!

Iris was a pleasure to work with. She was responsive and considerate with our short timeline and sensitive dog. She bonded quickly with June after a couple of initial meet and greets, and was patient with her and communicative with us during her stay. We can’t wait for her to look after June again!

We are excited to hire Viv for the future. ◡̈ she was great at getting our dogs park time and lots of cuddles while we were gone. They seemed really happy when we came home which is why very thing we want.

Megan hosted / boarded my pup, Wallace, and was great. Her home is fantastic for dogs, with a garden to explore in and lots of space. Thanks, Megan!

Andrea was fantastic house sitting with our golden retriever puppy! Gave lots of updates during the visit and was very patient with his puppy energy. We'll definitely be booking her again.

Catherine made a great first impression. During the meet & greet, she asked excellent questions that I happily answered to ensure that she would be prepared for the weekend. She stayed in touch with me throughout. Although one of our cats slipped out slide, Catherine patiently waited and took him back inside when he was ready. I look forward to working with Catherine again in the future.

Caroline was very communicative and attentive to the details to care for our senior dogs. Caroline provided updates and pictures during the day and our dogs were happy when we arrived. Definitely recommend Caroline.

Josh did a great job with my 3 boys. They’re pretty shy, so I always worry that they won’t do well when I leave them but it was obvious that they were happy and comfortable with him!

Julia took great care of our dogs in our home while we were away on a trip. She was flexible & accommodating - and the dogs loved her! She provided tons of updates and photos, so we knew our dogs were in great hands. Thanks, Julia!

Olivia did an amazing job house sitting and taking care of our cat! She was an excellent communicator very reliable. We received many lovely updates and pictures. Our cat clearly adored Olivia and was cuddled on her lap or getting head scritches in all the updates we received. We really enjoyed working with Olivia and will absolutely be using her again!

Celida was wonderful with our dog — she watched him over the July 4th weekend and dealt with his anxiety around fireworks. She was also very communicative with pictures/videos and making sure we knew how he was doing!

Brett is one of the most attentive, caring, and thoughtful pet sitters out there. She (and her pup Hop!) took amazing care of my anxious pup, Duncan, making him quickly feel at ease in just 30 mins - a new record for him to warm up when I’m gone! Brett shared frequent updates and set up a shared photo album to post photos and videos throughout their time together so I could check in whenever was convenient. She helped clean up after he had a tummy ache and took great care of my apartment as well. Brett is 15/10 and easily someone I trust the most with Duncan’s care.

Sarah was such a great sitter for Moana! Thank you for keeping us informed of her recovery from diarrhea, the awareness of the coyote and handling that situation as well as guiding Moana through the fireworks at night. We always love the pics being shared of her :). We as well as Moana would absolutely love to have Sarah take care of her again!
