“Kimberly is awesome! She’s friendly and outgoing yet professional. We felt comfortable with her from the moment we met her and confident that she would take care of our puppy in the manner of which we were accustomed. Don’t hesitate to give her a call. We will be doing so whenever we’re in town. :)”

“The kitties were very calm when we returned, and we assume this is because they had great company in Cameron. Cameron stayed overnight for the weekend and we'd do it again!”

“Raquel checks all the boxes! Great communication, positive and warm, and, most importantly, our pup had a great time with her as we could see from the photos and videos she sent.”

“Jess was so wonderful! Jess was sweet, communicative, professional, and followed the instructions we left for our pup really well. Would definitely recommend booking with Jess and we’re excited for her to watch our pup again :)”

“Joe dog sat with us for 4 days at our home. We met him up earlier to make sure he and Nala were a good fit. Throughout our trip, he was kind, reliable, and responsive. We are so happy to have had him. Nala did great with him!”

“Alex was awesome! Great communication throughout my trip, followed instructions super well, handled my very picky eater Mixie with lots of patience and care, and left my apartment in a great state for when I returned. Would definitively recommend!”

“Muhammad watched our cat over a long weekend and it was clear the two of them had a wonderful time! He sent us lots of pictures and videos, which were really nice. I’ll definitely rebook in the future!”

“Jeremy was amazing! Titan was feeling extremely shy and anxious and Jeremy was able to get Titan into such a relaxed state for the week we were gone. Titan had a great time and we can't wait to book again in the future”

About: I have babysat: 1) a medium sized 50 lb hound mix dog for a month at a time every year for 13 years (over the course of its life time from when she was a puppy to death) whose personality was very energetic and anxious. It needed a lot of exercise everyday, stimulated play, and long walks which I happily enjoyed! But she also needed to be watched carefully to ensure she didn’t scare anybody by playfully jumping on them. She would tug a lot during walks and would get excited seeing other dogs but I’ve always managed to calmly steer her away if aggression showed or if the other person or dog she was meeting showed signs of being uncomfortable. This dog always stayed at my place when I babysat her. Made sure she was fed on time twice a day and provided fresh water everyday. 2) two cats at a month at a time for the past 4 years. Stayed at the owner’s place every time. Had to be fed at certain times twice a day, gave them treats throughout the day and attention whenever they requested it. Sometimes I would initiate the contact but if the cats weren’t feeling it, they would communicate it and I would stop. They were indoor cats so I also made sure that any windows that were open were secure and they couldn’t slip through. Had no issues of escaped cats. 3) an energetic 8 year old pomsky and an 18 yr old cat for 10 days. House-sat the owner’s place the entire time where I had to walk the dog 4 times every day at a set schedule and feed them both & provide medication to the cat at set times. The Pomsky was very energetic so also took the time during the afternoon to play with her when she had the zoomies. And have the cat tummy rubs and butt scratches whenever she requested it. 4) a large 50 lb, 2 year old, Old English Sheepdog (named Cura). House-sat & dog-sat Cura for 10 days in Los Angeles, CA. Highly energetic who needed a lot of exercise everyday. Very obedient and could be taken off leash. But I always establish a level of trust and learn the dog’s mannerisms before taking them off leash in the park or around the apartment/house block. Cura also had a tendency to be scared of aggressive dogs or loud noises so I always maintained a level of reassurance and safety with her. Also had to be aware of the high temperatures in LA (given the summer time), hence I’d walk her early in the morning and late at night. 5) a 5 yr old, 25 lb, hound whippet mixed dog named Phoebe - house sat and babysat her for 12 days. Highly anxious who needed to be administered an anxiety pill every morning and needed constant attention and long walks. 6) Hamsters - babysat them for a week at a time for friends whenever they went out of town. Fed and cleaned the box. Would occasionally bring it out of its cage to let it roam around the room in its ball. 7) I have my own pet - a red eared slider turtle who I claim to be my aquatic dog 😉. He is 18 years old and I got him when he was just the size of a quarter. But he gets excited to see me whenever I enter the room and will follow me in the apartment when I let him out to walk around. He can also recognize me out of a group of people! 8) I have a ton of plants that I have grown in the past 6 years - huge monstera (from a 1 foot baby to now a 7 ft giant with 30 inch wide leaves), verraccusum, constellation monstera, cacti, pothos, glorosium, etc. I’m currently unemployed (taking a hiatus from being an accountant in the corporate world) so I have all the time to take care of your pet(s). Available anytime to feed, walk, play, and assist in providing medication. I have a pet turtle that I’ve had for 18 years that I have by a sunny window. But every other day, I’ll let him out in the apartment to walk around and explore (but he will often just follow me around😉). I currently live in an apartment that doesn’t allow dogs or cats so over the last few years, I’ve always taken care of pets at the owner’s place. Either living at their place or coming to their place at set times to feed and/or walk their pets.
“Shihua was so sweet and amazing! She looked after our six-year-old Frenchie and our six month old kitten for four days and nights. It was obvious they both loved her and felt comfortable. I would definitely hire her again in a second!!”

“We absolutely love Christine... and so do our fur-baby step-sisters! She went above and beyond for our girls! She sent us the cutest pictures and videos. We knew our girls were being well cared for, and were so happy. We have not always had good luck with Rover sitters, but Christine renewed our faith in Rover. Truly, she is our dog whisperer! We will most definitely be having her care for Lola & Muffy again... and again! We recommend Christine wholeheartedly... 100%!”

“Linda is the perfect sitter! Knowing that she’s taking care of our pets while we’re out of town gives us peace of mind and really allows us to get away without feeling the need to worry. She’s communicative, kind, and our pets really have taken a liking to her.”

“Gisselle is phenomenal! She takes wonderful care of Nala (and all of Nala’s extra needs), sends lots of great updates, and is also very conscientious and takes great care of the apartment. Thank you!”

“Leslie was great. She was a good communicator before the sit and my dog loved her. She stayed after I got home to let me know how my dog was. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Lauren is beyond great with our high-energy Labradoodle. She is very communicative, sends us photos and videos. She is flexible and easy to work with. Lauren is a find!”

“Femke was the best! She clicked with Fernet immediately and from the photos she sent, he spent most of our trip on her lap :). Femke was incredibly communicative and made sure we had daily updates with photos and videos of thier adventures. Would definitely book again!”

“Brooke was a great caretaker of our dog Reilly! She stayed at our home with him, was very attentive and kind, and took him out on some great outings. She also did some training with him which we asked for and appreciated. Highly recommended!”

Gisselle is a rock star! We love having her stay with our dogs when we leave town. Gisselle is so good with Finn and Nellie. This last time it was just Finn, and he adores her. Gisselle is wonderful with Finn and Nellie. The daily photos and check-in’s are just right. I feel completely at ease knowing our dogs are in Gisselle’s capable hands. I can’t say enough great things about her, she is simply the best! Gisselle is always our first call when we need to be out of town. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s actually it more like 10!

Gordon is really a cat-man! Our cat liked him since the moment he arrived, which is a sign of “instant authentication!” He also shared updates with photos while sitting and playing with him, I recommend him as a stay home friend for your kitties!

Lauren agreed to help us last minute for an unexpected need to travel. She met us same day for a meet & greet and we felt our medically complex dog was in good hands with her. During our time away, she sent plenty of updates and followed instructions well. When our flight got majoy delayed, she was gracious about it and stayed extra so he wouldn’t be alone. Would definitely recommend!

Selena was the 3rd Rover sitter I used in 2 years and she was absolutely fantastic! 5 stars is not enough! She consistently texted me pictures of Sparky multiple times a day which was reassuring and put a smile on my face. My condo was just as I left it, the dishwasher and the kitchen garbage area were emptied which I didn’t expect, the sign of a genuine person. Plus, she washed Sparky’s water and food bowl. When I take my next trip I won’t hesitate in reaching out to her again. My biggest concern is she’ll probably be booked!

We just love Nora! She's a lovely person, and took such enthusiastically great care of our little Cricket. Conscientious, careful, and very communicative, having her caring for our precious angel (who is teeny tiny and fragile and still in the t-rex puppy years) allowed us the freedom to enjoy our vacation—and the very regular updates and photos were so wonderful to get. Can't say enough great things about her, and will absolutely use her again when we travel and can't take our little peanut with us.

Ben took excellent care of my dogs, Capucino and Alfalfa, with great patience and attention. Capucino can be quite a handful, but Ben handled him wonderfully and made sure both dogs were well cared for. I truly appreciated his reliability and kindness. I would definitely recommend Ben to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shihua took exceptional care of my two pups, paying close attention to their medications and routines. She was an excellent communicator, sending frequent updates and videos that made me feel connected and reassured. I also came home to a spotless house. I’m so grateful, and would absolutely trust her with our dogs and home again!

Anita is a godsend . Believe the reviews!! After a nightmarish rover experience where our dogs were harmed at a dog sitters home, we reluctantly made the decision to hire a house sitter. As everyone knows this is not easy to do for the first time. The minute I met Anita I knew I had made the right decision. She took the most phenomenal care of my 2 dogs : a rowdy 2 year old golden retriever & an old man cockapoo. 4+ videos , pictures and updates a day. So much exercise , so much socialization. She left our house much cleaner than we left it lol! No need to go through this process again as Anita is the only sitter we’ll ever need !

Kaia took incredible care of my dog, Ghost, while I was away. From the moment she started, she was communicative, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. She kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing Ghost was happy and well cared for. Ghost can be particular about his routine, and Kaia went above and beyond to make sure he stayed on schedule with his walks, meals, and playtime. It was clear that she genuinely cared about his well-being and treated him as if he were her own. I would absolutely trust Kaia to watch Ghost again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and responsible pet sitter. Thank you, Kaia, for making it possible for me to travel without worry!

I cannot recommend Sasha enough!!! She is a genuine dog lover and it shows in everything she does. She sent us lots of photos and videos which we super appreciated being far away from our lil guy. She’s also a dog trainer so is very knowledgeable in how to handle dogs and their sensitivities, especially our reactive dog. She was also a fab house guest and made everything clean and nice before she left. Thank you for being amazing Sasha!

Leaving our dog is always the hardest part of travelling. Mike made it much, much easier. Our dog Elle is pretty energetic and he kept up with her perfectly. Lots of updates, and he took great care of both Elle and our place. If you need any sort of dog sitting, I’d absolutely recommend Mike.
